  1. I hear and I obey. (has as much to do with the original topic as anything else in this thread... btw - I always take the russkies and avoid the kraut-heads whenever possible...) cheers, bruceb
  2. Looking for opinions/recommendations on the best history (in english) of the war in the east, 41-45. Hopefully, something that's still in print or easily available used. What say you?
  3. wicky-- cool pics... thanks for the link --bruceb
  4. and one of those four .50 AA thingees for the allies (the chopper!)
  5. 1. cows 2. horses (for the germans) 3. telephone poles 4. more building types 5. corn fields 6. civilians 7. cheaper artillery 8. internal building movement 9. units that don't run toward the enemy when they freak out 10. parachute flares (for night fighting)
  6. Von Paulus - Thanks for the reference to the web site! It's one I hadn't seen and looks to be chock full of good stuff... bruceb
  7. In fact, I am off for the summer (but let's not go into that right now) Just want you penguins to know that if bringing other people down helps build your self-esteem up, then I'm here for you (all summer long) BTW, do any of you actually play CM or do you just come on here and rant about stupid stuff?
  8. check this out: Canadian War Museum - Armoured Warrior All praise to our northern brothers!
  9. that's what supposed to happen... was it against the AI?
  10. CC wasn't THAT bad (except for the dope-addled AI). I liked the maps in that series and IIRC, the machine guns were a lot deadlier than in CM. CC2 (Bridge Too Far) was my favorite I think. Be nice. Don't bash CC.
  11. congradulations. my guess is you were very, very lucky, but hey - we all need some of that sometimes... don't let it go to your head though!
  12. You mean to tell me there's *no-way* an AP round from something like an 88 can go through one light armored vehicle and hit another one in CM? I'm disappointed to hear that. Doesn't seem like it'd be that hard to model... and such happenings were not unknown in Real Life, I believe?
