  1. Being somebody's bitch in this forum is mandatory. You're either the pimp or the bitch in this place. </font>
  2. Peer vote. There is a thread called the Peng Challenge Thread. In it, we vote on newcomers by posting poetry; once you've been accepted by the masters of this forum, your status gets changed. Your winning vote was a simple haiku extolling the number of consonants in your name. </font>
  3. I bought CMBB for about 50 EURO, went back to the shop three day ago, they are now selling it for 12 EURO AND 50 CENTS  . Good buy the first time, don't get me wrong but 12,5 EURO....
  4. Hi everyone! When I just got CM and found this forum, one of the first threads I looked at was "the one" with all the strategy, I'm about to venture into a new PBEM game and thought it might be a good idea to refresh a few things, so I go to the FAQ (BB forum) found the link to "the thread" clicked a topic and got a error message saying the, the topic I clicked doesn't exist. I think this is due to the forums being moved to the archives, but it would be nice if someone or something could give me a working link. Thanks
  5. Don't know about you, but I find that amusing sometimes. Can't explain it really For some weird reason, at least I get the kicks out of it sometimes. Now, don't get me wrong - I absolutely love historical battles and usually play with pz IIIs and IIs rather than sturmmörsers. But occasionally, i like the change. I know it's a slippery slope demanding sorts like Maus in the game solely on the basis that I happen to like that certain type. Even though CM is historically very accurate an detailed game, it wouldn't take anything out of the credibility of the game if for example mouse was in. If you don't like a unit, you're not required to play with it, methinks. Again, I know there were some real world constraints like fitting the game on cd, KwazyDog not having time to model even some of the more common models and so on. That I can live with. What's slightly annoying, is some CM afficionados who don't want an unit in just because it is not historically correct. If I want to watch my maus slowly sink and dissappear in a mudpit then I should be allowed to do that, even though no maus was actually ever lost in a mud pit... </font>
  6. Could you tell me if the Maus ever really worked?
  7. Look you don't need the MAUS to have fun, besides what is fun about putting a 1000 ton beast on a hill a watch it fire some rounds killing hordes of Russkies, Americano's?? CM is cool because you get to try to use real tactic, strategy whatever. Besides after two games you would get bored of it, i know i would!
  8. How about some glitter? When I headlined in Paris, audiences always loved it when I sparkled. You'll get your turns in good time. </font>
  9. No I'm still up checking my email for your setup!! Where is it?? </font>
  10. You should do a search on the BB forum, but if i recall correctly it was Photoshop or something similar, sorry... Maybe in CMX2
  11. Odds of that happening are as big as actually finding one on the battlefield...
  12. I've read that the germans also liked PPsH and used it (even rechambring, not sure though). Maybe it was a cultural exchange thing...
  13. But it's hard to imagine a KV crushing a german light! It would have never been able to catch it, me thinks!
  14. Hmm fog of war, if they decide to do this then they should (IMHO) give us some kind of rough map of the terrain (maybe a topographical map because they area has been reconed out in advance). That way i think it would be more realistic.
  15. You can always select view 1 (groundlevel) go to the spot you want and check LOS the old-fashioned way, without using that fancy LOS-tool, of course it's not as accurate but it gives a pretty good picture. Btw BFC could you make it so that when i plot a movement i can see what the distance is, i know the LOS-tool can do this, but it would be much more practical. Thanks
  16. I thought that was what Target Reference Points were there for, or have i misunderstood the question?
  17. Maybe you should make them unload a bit further away near cover. That's what i try to do but the problem is how to get closer from then . Maybe you unload the infantry let them spot for your overwatching tanks, try the tips and tricks forum!
  18. Is there ever frienly fire from flak to your own plane? People on the ground misidentifying the plane? Although i will check in the manual, what happens when two opposing planes operate in the same area? Do they shoot each other?
