  1. Well I wanted to say that it won't be funny losing all the time or winning with heavy casualties
  2. Well with so many combat losses like your father's division had, it won't be funny to play as them. That's the reason why some people do not like to talk about their time in war.
  3. My father's father was in the navy on the ship "Aviso Grille" which was Hitler's cruiser. He was at the reserve steering wheel of that ship. Well he never saw Hitler, they only laid mines in front of Norway where he spent most of his time in the war. Later he got cought by British soldiers in Belgium while playing cards in a foxhole with comrades Anyways they decided to check the enemy's position when they "suddenly" saw a British soldier leaning on his rifle and watching their game above them He even told me a crazy story about the time that he had spent in Antwerpes. There a mate of him and he were sitting on the roof of a building drinking more than 70 bottles of beer while watching how the city got attacked by Allied bombers. Sounds unbelievable, but it is true. He nearly was an alcoholic at that time, because they got nothing to do than drinking in the German navy. The next morning he went back to his ship and wondered where it might be. It wasn't sunk by the bombs, but a few meters away from the ship was a large pile with red stones, which was hit by one bomb. Well now the ship was covered with red dust My mother's father was in the Arbeitsdienst at the age of 16, together with other youngsters. They were supposed to work, but they never saw a spade. His story is not as funny. They often got attacked by low flying airplanes while they trained and many got shot. He got wounded by a grenade in the Czech Republic and later escaped from the Russians out of the hospital. Well I miss their stories now, but I can remember, that my father's father told me that whenever the Tommys got under fire and had no tanks nearby, they ran away

  6. Yes you are right, I am already creating a better more difficult version of the battle. With a weaker anti-tank cannon and I am thinking about taking away one of the Jagdpanzer. Also I will give the Allies more time for their attack, so that they will have about 3 or 4 more turns of time. And I tweaked the airplane a little bit But this time I will play the battle a few times before I will release a newer version. Today I played the battle for the first time in full lenght and I also achieved a major victory. Well it depends much on your luck. If the airplane fails to destroy one of your anti-tank weapons it is easier. I think with a little bit more balancing and tweaking the battle can become really good.
  7. Thanks Mikey, that's the same thought that I had. The airplane in this scenario is really fast, which is the reason why I replaced the larger 37mm with a smaller and quicker 4x20mm Flak.
  8. I just created my first scenario ever and released it at the Proving Grounds. It is called "Die Flut". It would be nice to hear some comments how I can improve the scenario, but first let me tell you something about the scenario. It is defense only. You have to hold a small Italian village against too many American and British enemies and you only have a small chance to survive. So you are not meant to win this scenario. The goal is simply to get better and better each time you play the battle. Therefore I have included some more exotic units and cared for alternation. So you will fight American and British troops, the enemy should be free to place its units and it has three directions from where it can attack. I hope that you will like it
  9. Ok I have replaced it with a stationary Flak and released my scenario at the Proving Grouns. It is called "Die Flut". Have fun while trying it After I replaced the Flak vehicle with a stationary Flak it worked every time. p.s.: This is just the first version of the scenario and my first scenario ever, so I am willing to listen to any proposals to improve the scenario.
  10. Their line of sight was good. The problem is that sometimes the Flak vehicle targets the airplane and sometimes not, although it has a line of sight. When it targets the airplane then it usually shoots at it, but this only happens in less then 1/4 of all attacks. Would it be better if I take a Flak without vehicle?
  11. Hi guys, I am creating a scenario and have included a German Sd Kfz 7/2 Flak with a 37mm L/57 gun. There is also an enemy airplane in this scenario, but whenever the airplane attacks my troops my Flak vehicle is idling around in the landscape instead of shooting at the airplane. The airplane pilot is set to experienced and the Flak crew even one above. So why doesn't it fire? Can only certain types of Flak attack enemy airplanes in the game? I am aware that a 88mm Flak won't be able to attack a small airplane, but a small 37mm? I even tried it with a Sd Kfz 7/1 which has four 20mm L/55 guns, but this won't attack the airplane too. Can anyone help me?
  12. It looks good, but I don't think that it fits into the landscape of Italy, because of the lack of autumn leafes. Don't you think so?
  13. It really looks good, but I cannot recognize any difference to the old version. So what's the difference?
  14. Then I think that Battlefront should correct those models and release a patch which includes replacements for the old models. Don't you think so?
  15. Isn't anyone interested in modelling some correct models?
