Gawd, you suck!!! Having just dropped close to $5/ gallon, I hate you more. Sorry Boo, no turn for you. Spent what little time I had filling myself with beer....to my detriment this morning. Have ye tried Sierra Nevada's Harvest Ales? Quite nice but the size is odd...22 ounces. One is not enough, 2 is too much and 3 is not near enough.

Turn out at the same blistering pace....d/l turn on zip, take home at the end of the day, upload to desktop, play turn, load saved file on zip, sleep, go work next morning, send file*, rinse and repeat.....except next week, heading to Portland Tuesay, Wednesday and Thursday. Suppose I should get that internet thingy at home......... *check inbox, muppet

Is that a power cord hanging off the little monkey? Like those damn little munchkins need more energy. Abbott, Still playing CMBB or CMAK. Tried CMSF, even got so far as mocking up a stadium/ campus scenario but the AI planning/ triggers got really tedious and didn't work at all how I was imagining it. Pretty much walked away from SF for the tranquil forests of Europe.

hhhmmm....Unauthorized = not conforming to rules....which means any jackass can post.....so I will. Boo you noodle-headed, acrimonious, Akronian, there was a time we battled. First in go-carts and then with pixel-truppen. Alas, that epic struggle was lost to the ages. I challenge you to duel to end all duels. A chance to show the world that you really are the limp-wristed, poofy, ponce you pretend to be. Knock the dust off your copy of CMBB, fire it up and prepare to suffer. Again the terms are no armor better than armored car and no farking snow. We hates the farking snow.

Battle for the Ukraine 2008.

Personally, getting out of the desert would make me so freakin' pleased. Between CMAK and CMSF, I have sand coming out of my cd drive. Time, forces, action, back story are all lower on my priority list than terrain. -
I know that, Sequoia. But a girl can dream, yes?

You have arrived. I am secretly hoping that all these 'modules' will allow us pick and choose units from different nations and pit them against each other, regardless of when they actually fought. Something like Firepower . How many front line 1960's Pakistani troops would take to defeat a platoon sized force of mid-80's Spetsnaz*? Or sumfink lik dat. I can never find anyone with the A)time or patience to sit and play a round of Firepower. *wiki has informed me that there be lots of different Spetsnaz units but I stand by my previous statement despite this. Should I get CMAK?
imported_mike_the_wino2 replied to Cuirassier's topic in Combat Mission: Afrika Korps
I am still playing CMAK....and I hate the friggin' desert. All the sand and dust....feh. But the trinkets....oh my, what pretty clankies. Even the fugly clankies are fun to push around. -
Can't such things be recreated with the tools all ready in game? i.e. reinforcements (random or otherwise) dropped on the map at various locations, like the 'Red Parachutes' scenario from CMBB plus throwing in some minor modifications on the fixed wing aircraft to mimick helo strafing runs? Of course, I have zero programming skilz so any 'minor' modifications are really easy to do. Chop, chop you lazy pricks.

L/71, L/52, etc. = what???
imported_mike_the_wino2 replied to FragerZ's topic in Combat Mission: Afrika Korps
Wow, kinda harsh JoMc67. FragerZ, L/71 has to do with the barrel length, the higher the number the longer the barrel. The longer the barrel, the more accurate the gun. All approximations of course. SP arti units are a mixed bag. The 150's are great against soft targets but not so good against armor. Think high explosive and generally not so accurate. You need to look at ammo type to see if you have a chance against armor. But the game chooses which ammo type to load so that part is really out of your hands. Generally the 75mm and 88mm are your most effective anti-tank weapons but 50mm can be used with caution. Hope that helps. ......and what Kingfish said -
"Done" takes on new meaning...

If by 'Re-active' you mean a giant fireball, followed by a smoldering hulk that used to be a tank....then you won't be disappointed.
