  1. Hey MarkL, I replied to this in the Sie Kommen Forum, but yes in the near future you will be able to download all the field orders via a .zip file to your local drive... There are still some minor changes, tweaks, additonal sound bites, etc being added, and unlike the scenarios themselves (which all were playtested 5-10 times) the field orders and mods were 'perused over' and thus might require some changes... I anticipate a second pass of these, early to middle of next week, with a final posting towards the weekend of the 20th... As far as the passwords, the team decided this method back in May and it will not be reworked... But I will add a password file (with all the passwords), with the complete field orders zip file, when it is ready to go.. Hope this helps, sorry for any inconvience, thanks for the feedback and enjoy... Note: The Sie Kommen Forum will contain information pertaining to any changes, additions, questions, etc.... Which will make it the place to visit if such things araise. That is all... -Fredrocker

  3. Thanks NG cavscout If you look in the rule book on page 12 there is a score sheet for the 18 game version... this is the sequence you should play the 18 scenarios in... Good luck and enjoy That is all... -FR
  4. The Sie Kommen Battle Pack for CMAK is now available for download at the Sie Kommen Website. Features: 18 Great New Scenario based upon a fictional D-Day where the Allies land on July 4, 1944 at Pas D Calais. The Scenarios are as follows: Bridges for the 82nd Hell at Waldam Beach Better Late Then Never March to Marck We Need Beaches Breakout Now Onward toward Offekerque Bad News at Bourbourg Blood On Rubble To Blow or Not to Blow Here We Come Walking Down the Street Bourbourg Bloodshed The 331st Strikes Back Graveline Fort Bloody St. Omer Capelle Death Town Offekerque Silence is Golden Dead Men Walking There is a complete set of rules to play the Sie Kommen Battle Pack in a multitude of ways including 5 game, 12 game, all 18 games, and a couple of 3-packs. Rules for AI play are included too. There is a Points Scoring Matrix table for each of the different ways the game can be played that uses formulas to determine the points earned for each scenario based upon the overall campaign. Also included is links to Field Order Files which go beyond the briefings found in the battle and include such things as written orders, commander maps, aerial recon photos, and even radio (voice) transmissions. There is a complete set of mods of which almost all where put together by the great modders in the community. I believe I got all of you on the recognition list and thank you guys for the work. There is a Main Mod Pack that includes terrain, uniforms, weapons, etc.. two vehicle mod packs (one allied and one axis) and special mod packs for 4 of the scenarios (beach landings, special bunkers, etc). All work with the Mod Program McMMM and we will be releasing ‘Mod Set’ files in the near future, this will let you load all the appropriate mods for each battle with a single click. Many hours of effort went into Sie Kommen but I am sure there are still a few ‘bugs’ or items that might need a quick fix. We have created a forum ( Right Here ), that you can go to, to discuss, provide feedback, ask questions, etc about the battle pack. You input will be appreciated. I would personally like to thank the following great people, cause without them this project would never have come to fruition. Robert A. (FIGO) … Timo H. (Larry Thorne)… Fredrik W. (General Failure)… Dean R. (Smashing)… And Bob M. (British Tommy) For all there support, also all the playtesters, modders, etc. Please Enjoy…. That is all… Fredrocker

  7. Hey Gibsonm... your correct in nothing being 'platform specific' all that you would need is Acrobat Reader as the Rule Book, a Links Reference File, and the Field Orders and Commander Maps are in Portable Document Format. The Terrain Mods and Uniform Mods are real close to the wonderful packages that David I put together, so if you have CMETO with the Normandy Terrain you could use that and you wouldnt see much difference. The Vehicle Mods are just all the ETO mods out there put into two overall zip files. There are some special mods for certain battles that cover beaches, large bunkers, command posts, fort walls, etc. that are really Sie Kommen specific and will be identified and available for download at the website, along with all the other mod packages. I have been using a clean install for testing and with McMMM it is a snap to go in and out of what needs to be done, I am even working up the 'Mod Sets' options that GreenAsJade had embedded in the latest release of McMMM, not sure if they will be done for monday's release but they should follow shortly. That is all... -Fredrocker
  8. This book might help... I read it a while back from the library. The Bloody Road to Tunis: Destruction of the Axis Forces in North Africa November 1942-May 1943 by ROLF, DAVID I believe the publisher was Greenhill.... Hope this helps That is all... -FR
  9. Thanks for you Question TC_Stele. The 18 scenarios have all been extensively playtested H2H and also Allies vs AI. In the rule book there is a table that will give you proposed AI 'experience bonus' rating if you want to play against the AI. Also the overall 'points schedule' is based upon a matrix of all the battles. So if one beats ones competitor in say battle 2 (Hell at Waldam Beach) with an allied tactical victory, you can look at this table and determine the overall pts garnered for the allied side. Now remember there is instructions and tables to play 5, 12, and 18 battle game sets. Thus some battle are weighted pro allied, some pro axis, but a lot of time and effort went into the development, so in theory you could win the main battle (with a Total or Major Victory) of a 5 battle game and lose the other four and still gain a draw or some kind of minor victory. A little more on the 18 battles. There is actually 8 Maps that these scenarios are designed on. And each scenarios occurs on 'cropped' out sections of these maps... So you could potentially play 2 scenarios in say 'the 12 game plan' on the same map (with overlap, etc). All the scenarios are done, I still have some minor work on the Field Orders, Commander Maps, and a new idea that occured over the weekend 'Radio Transmissions'... The Mod Packs are all put together except for the Vehicles (as all these great modders keep creating new ones each passing day... makes me a busy boy...) And all credits are posted at the Sie Kommen Website We also have a forum for discussions on the Overall Game pack and the individual scenarios. So next Monday we will toss it out there and let y'all get at it. That is all... -Fredrocker
  10. Good stuff You cant go wrong... played it... AWESOME That is all =Fredrocker
  11. Well if you like big arty there is one battle 'Hell at Waldam Beach' which gives you plenty of 203mm and 240mm to pound the shore with... ... but I can tell you in playtesting if you don't use smoke, you will die on da beach!!! That is all... -Fredrocker
  12. Well Six Months and hundreds and hundreds of hours later the release of the Sie Kommen Battle Pack for CMAK is scheduled for November 7th. I would like to thank the following designers/friends for their time and effort over the past few months: General Failure , Smashing , Larry Thorne, and Figo. Also to all the others who assisted in playtesting and development. For an overview of the project, etc... see The Sie Kommen Website That is all... -FredRocker
  13. Carl I have played some of your fine scenarios... they have a great twist in them not found in any other scenarios I have played... Congrats on number 20... keep up the great work That is all.. -Fredrocker
  14. Hey GaJ and Larry Thorne Yes I am going to be using the 'modset function' in McMMM... seems to work well... but I will also be grouping the mods for Sie Kommen into what looks like four packs... Overall Terrain and Overall Vehicles (will work with all 18 battles)... and then two customized packs: one for the 2 beach landings scenarios (beach, water, obsticles along with the 'Bunker Buildings' and command bunkers...) and the other will contain stuff for the Fort Battles (Walls, Sand, Water, etc)... I am doing it this way so people who dont use McMMM Modsets can also work with the mods... I am still looking for as many vehicle mods for the ETO-Normandie Time frame... but almost all others are done... any suggestion or input by anyone would be appreicated (just email me) Hey Larry, I sent out an email on the status of all the battles... we are getting real close... plus some of the battle names are really cool... 'We Need Beaches' 'Blood on Rubble' 'To Blow or not to Blow' 'Bourbourg Bloodshed' 'Here We Come Walking Down the Street' 'Better Late Then Never' et all... The 'rulebook' and 'tourney point schedule forumlas' are also complete... its a matter of weeks now... I will keep you posted Larry T at the Sie Kommen Forum... That is all... -FR
  15. WOW with all this functionality... I hope my TPG taxes doesnt go up to much That is all... -FR
  16. Designer Features I would like to see: 1) Ability to placed damage on map by designer such as buildings (*) or (**) without having to use the map generator, also 'destroyed vehicles', etc 2) Independent of clear terrain for features such as roads, fences, paths, hedges, etc... right now all fences have 10m of open space on each side.. 3) Enhanced Briefing capablities which would include hyperlinks, graphic embedding, etc 4) Scalability of Barbed Wire, Tenches, Roadblocks, Minefields, etc, ablitlity to stretch, shrink, bend, etc 5) Toggle for a contour type feature on the maps. 6) Ability to assign multiple VL's variable values. Playability Features I think have been covered: Dont Change: 1) PBEM 2) The Scale 3) WEGO System 4) Mod-ability 5) Camera Angles/Controls Thanx for this thread... That is all... -FR
  17. To: MikeyD, Pat, A-sarge, AndrewTF, WindyCity, JuJu, David I, Gurra, and all others Gentlemen, A quick question for you regarding your Mods for CMAK… A great crew of designers and I are in the process with others of putting together a Scenario Battle Pack for CMAK named Sie Kommen... To date we have all the battles done and are in Playtesting mode. In this pack we are going to be putting together ‘Mod Packs’ which will be groups of Mods Zipped together for use within certain battles, etc… and that will function within McMMM (not sure if we are using the 'Mod Set' option or not) Some of the Mods we are thinking of using are yours…. So My Question is… may we include your Mods in Zip files with others (trying to get everyones approval first)…. Your Mods will not be altered and we will be including ‘Special Thanx’ and Reference on both the Website and within the Rule Book for the Battle Pack of each and everyone we use. Please let me (us) know if this is ok… and please keep up all the great work you guys do for the community.. That is all... -FR
  18. Gary has done an 'awesome job' with The Proving Groundsand I can see no reason why he wouldnt do the same with a 'New Depot'.... He is one of the pillars of the community... I vote Yes let Gary do his thing and be done with it... That is all... -FR
  19. WOW... From your reply GJK it sounds like you are interested in the proceeding with this challange. Go for it as UDAMAN!!! I agree with most of what you said... for Screenies in an AAR you can always have the author place the screenies at The Photo Dump which is a free site and can be linked to. Granted an extra step for the author but small compared to the time of writing an AAR. As far as ratings, that is always a touchy subject. To me basic feedback (1-10 or somefink simple) is cool. Ease of use is another key for both the designers and players. I do like the idea of the 'linking' of The Proving Grounds and the location of the 'New Depot', as mentioned by British Tommy... Heck when you think about it you could almost mirror what you are doing for TPG , with some minor modifications and thus not create a big headache for yourself... You have all the basics there and more... If I can be of any help please let me know... That is all... -FR
  20. I have a scenario over there with over 1000 D/L's and no reviews... I didnt even think the scenario was that good yet it has been D/L'ed that many times... Why... I have come to expect no reviews... but as a designer when I do get one I will ALWAYS write a response... Also if I play a scenario from The Depot I will take the time to post a review... though most of my comments are on the playtesting side over at The Proving Grounds That is all...
  21. ...Toast to the Admiral... Cheers is on its way... I hear ya... been unemployed for 17 months... and not only does the $ hurt but man... sitting doing not much creates at big void... as does the wifey yelling... ... Hang in and god's speed That is all... -FR
