So...uh..how many of you are chicks...err..
clicheman replied to Franko's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Perhaps if everyone posted photos of themselves on the forum it may attract some female game players....okay I'll go first. Just so I remain anonymous I will only post a 'body' pic of myself.....Don't want any weirdos recognising me in the street of course. So here is a photo of me after a couple of hours playing CMBN. Anyone up for an online game? Cheers -
"Would be nice" feature list
clicheman replied to lookeylou's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Perhaps more on map heavy and medium guns. I know it may make scale an issue but I'd actually love to see my battery of rocket launchers or 25pdrs (when the brit's come) in action. Also is it already possible to design maps WITH trenches/fox holes and pillboxes in place? It could make for some great assault battles. I havn't looked into the designer yet. Cheers. -
Still waiting outback NSW - Australia. I only get mail 3x a week. Anyone in Aussie ordered & recieved?

First Impressions (CM:BN Full Release)
clicheman replied to Manx's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
I think I saw pretty much the same result with my German rocket barrage set to heavy......absolutley fantastic to watch, again and again, decimated the American attack caught in the open. Yet rounds were landing everywhere, set my area target a 'little' too big Brilliant game. -
First Impressions (CM:BN Full Release)

Cha-Ching! The sound of the BF cash register running hot! Great game. D/L and played my first QB, mainly wanted to see some of the other units....oh the choices, the choices, the choices Grpahics great even on my old video card, updating asap anyway! Managed to JUST hold on to get a minor victory defending as the Germans. Great moment included bringing down a rocket barrage on the advancing Americans...ohhhh yes, not too accurate but devastating none the less! Really like some of the features like exploding ammo in burning vehicles. Already called in sick, I can imagine the economy grinding to a halt as I spent time coming to grips with CM2011. If I can add a couple of units to a wish list for future development.... White scout cars, amphibious jeeps, DUWK's, and the German tracked motorbike Kettenkrad.(just for the sake of seeing one roar around the bf.) Oh and I'd like to play we-go vs anyone! Is there a specific thread or something for human v human? Cheers! -
Modifying building walls in editor
clicheman replied to clicheman's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Thankyou! I will try it out. -
Hello, Playing the demo and enjoying it, mucking around with the editor while waiting for the full version. My question is can I modify/choose the type of walls/windows for my buildings? Maybe I just cant find the right button to push! Thanks!
-
Brilliant...I know I've said it already. I also need to say "THANKS!". Loved the way I could see the artillery expositions lighting through the windows of a building I was 'close' to. Internal vehicle graphics, brilliant. The first time my Sherman got roasted....brilliant, the crew popping hatches to bail out, brilliant. Thanks....can't wait for my pre-order!!! Cheers

Monday. Any Monday. 9th,16th or 23rd..... Its my guess. I reckon that even IF everything was completed and the BF team were 100% they would wait until the Monday AFTER that point. 1. They could have a celebration weekend before the launch. 2. They would have a whole week after release 'on deck' to deal with press, release issues and watch the bank account balances go up! So relaxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. All things in due time. Cheers

Gives a whole new meaning to the term 'head office' (head being a naval term for toilet!) Love the live web cam shots! It's all very clear in my mind now. Cheers
-
Just an idea but perhaps the Battlefront team would consider installing a webcam at their 'head office'. We could then have the thrill of seeing the dedicated team working away, feel anticpation as we see the 'steelboxes' arrive at the office, watch in awe as you carefully package and label each of our purchases, droool as we watch the team gather around the big green 'go' button that will launch BFBN onto the world..... and.... curse the BF team the moment anyone stops working for longer than a minute.....and... blink and stare at our screens as you finish up for the day, turn out the lights and go home....leaving us to wait another day. As I said it's just an idea but I'd like it implemented by tomorrow morning. Thanks in advance!

Quick update on release status
clicheman replied to Battlefront.com's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
My guesstimate The game looks fantastic and I can't wait to play it. However it is amazing to see a software company so dedicated to making sure the product is 'right'. I wish other companies would set their standards as high. Take as long as you need! The product already looks fantastic and any team who seems and dedicated to 'getting it right' deserves success. I wish you all a million sales. My guess.....Monday the 9th....but don't sweat if its later. Cheers -
From what I understand it was called the 'Bob Semple' tank. Nz's answer to the Panther. Highly effective against....
-
Awesome photo! Were they based on a bulldozer chassis? Do I see corrugated iron amour plating? I can imagine the crack panzer units quaking in their boots right now. Cheers
-
Yes but it would be great to have some differences like maybe a moral bonus for Maori Battalion troops. Certainly different 'skins' would be great. Also the quipment list would just HAVE to include the 'famous' beaverette. Imagine sending a squad of them up against the Jerries!! Cheers
-
I'd like to see the ability to place units who may not have fought in France after D-Day into the game.... Line the Kiwi Division or Aussies up against the Germans. Yes I know its would take away any 'historical relevance' but it is just a game and it would be fun for quick battles. Just my 2 cents. Anyway can't wait to play the game in whatever form.!!!

Great! Can't wait to play the game!

A lot of old timers coming back
clicheman replied to Nidan1's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Hello, I am an 'old timer' in more than one sense. Used to play CBBO and CBBB and loved the games. Looking forward to the next installment. Tried to log on today to see when/if evere I was registered. Check out the log in message I recieved. -
Graphic Nightmare with Prophet 4000xt PCI
clicheman replied to clicheman's topic in Combat Mission - Tech Support
Thanks Matt. I checked the troubleshooting guide and followed the instructions on changing my video cards settings. The graphic corruption has been sorted with a slight loss of perfromance as the guide stated but at least, at last I can play CMBB! Will take ur advice and get myself a new-new card in the near future. The only reason I bought a video card for this pc in the first place was to run CMBB. Thanks again.
