  1. A bad flipped bit on the boot sector of the HD? Boot from an external drive and use disk tool to wipe and reformat the old drive - or replace with a new un (500GB SSDs are quite cheap nowadays) before installing a fresh OS.
  2. My tupenthworth as a webmaster - there was a mass hotmail and disposable email hack that started in Dec (tested on students then became more widespread soon after in a phishing campaign) and became more readily apparent in early January that I had to issue a warning for folk to check and change their passwords. I think from insecure passwords susceptible to brute force hacking. Possibly if hackers gained access to email accounts they could also glean banking info as a priority?? https://www.necl.co.uk/index.php/news/194-watch-out-for-dodgy-emails-appearing-to-be-from-necl-clubs
  3. Impressive CV! Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka is a mysterious but great man to have surfaced on the earth. He is a preacher, inventor, innovator, Physicist, Chemist, Biologist, agriculturalist, philanthropist and the Star of Africa. He is the world’s greatest multi-dimentional scientist and technologist of all times and has carried out the greatest philanthropic activity in Ghana. He funds all these exercises with revenue from his numerous investments. • First African to manufacture engines, vehicles, aircrafts and heavy-duty machines (he did so manually). • First man in the world who manufactured Bass guitars with seven strings • The manufacturer of gadgets and machines with extra-ordinary features. • Only man on earth capable of producing metals from sea shells and palm husk making metals renewable. • Only individual on earth who practically cuts across the length and breadth of invention and innovative science. • Most mysterious man on earth. 4. Plus the amazing flying rocket equipped armoured car that drops exploding eggs... surely worthy of including in a CM module
  5. Jered Threatin - He tried to fake his way to fame and got caught red-handed. Or did he? A conversation with a false rock god. Duchamp of the music world??
  6. You can't install the campaign file into the demo - when you get the full game then plonk em in using the way I outlined above if the full game installer hasn't already been patched.
  7. "Maybe the problem then is that I don't have the game files for SF2 yet. I purchased it when it was first announced, but received no link where I might DL it. " ?? Have you installed the full game or just the demo? If you've bought the full game and installed it it could be like CM Black Sea - You need to right click or alt-apple the CM game .app file to show the Show Package Contents to bring up the: Contents > Resources > Game Files > Campaigns
  8. ?? .cam is the campaign file once unzipped it goes into Game Files > Campaigns
  9. Blow a ground floor wall away as a way in - simples
  10. Sure it wasn't a very lucky mortar round dropping in an open hatch...
  11. No it's been restored and repainted/touched up in those colours at least a couple of times at the http://www.museedesblindes.fr - It was with the Fench Army post-war and stashed away before going to the museum.. "Tiger II – Musée des Blindés, Saumur (France) – running condition Fahrgestell number 280112. According to an article from the Saumur museum's magazine n° 54, this tank, which now carries the turret number 233, could be the tank n° 123, which belonged to the 1st Company, 101 SS.s.Abt in August 1944. It could have been abandoned by its crew on 23 August 1944, due to some engine problems, at Brueil-en-Vexin (near Mantes-la-Jolie). It has been apparently salvaged by the French Army in September 1944, and then stored at the AMX factory at Satory before being transferred to the museum, when it was created. It was not in running condition for some months due to a gearbox problem, but the tank has been repaired recently and now, it runs normally (France AFVs register) How it was in 2006 (note slightly different green tan pattern in places) http://preservedtanks.com/Profile.aspx?UniqueID=216 This King Tiger is believed to be the only one in the world in running order. It carries the turret number “233” and has taken part in some ‘Carrousel’ dynamic displays. It is coated with Zimmerit anti-magnetic mine paste. It was restored using parts from a number of other vehicles,
  12. JK you just can't help yourself "...academic D r. Michael Salla . He has, I think, created his own niche of study, and he consults with governments, think tanks and corporations on matters which may surprise you." In your argument from authority, you'll likely find he's got a 25 yard swimming certificate and a degree but at the end of the day he's a certifiable woo merchant. "He is listed as course instructor at the Exopolitics Institute, along with journalist Paola Harris and former lawyer Manuel Lamiroy. The institute offers a so-called "Galactic Diplomacy Certificate," among other scamsqualifications. Cost of that course is $1500 plus extras for seminar tuition — a trivial investment, really, when one considers what an asset such a certificate would be if applying for a job in, say, corporate management" https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Michael_Salla ”The central belief of every moron is that he is the victim of a mysterious conspiracy against his common rights and true deserts. He ascribes all his failure to get on in the world, all of his congenital incapacity and damfoolishness, to the machinations of werewolves assembled in Wall Street, or some other such den of infamy. (Add Battlefront.com forum mods to the list!) —H.L. Mencken
  13. JK the last major kooky thread instigated by you culminated over 5 years ago! - you weren't 'savagely attacked' but lampooned for your ludicrous claims you posted on a public forum. There are no cries from you in that thread for anyone to stop - instead when no one believed you or took you seriously, you posted yet more silly claims with various woo links before it seems you withdrew in a huff/out of sheer embarrassment/moderators orders. Some time after that forum moderators suggested by your own admission, that you best limit your posts to less controversial and more verifiable type posts so you wouldn't get upset at the rejection of your bizarre ideas. As you've generally abided by this it shows you're well on the road to recovery and can self-differentiate what's real and what's not before posting - well done! no doubt because you are now getting professional medical treatment for whatever ails you, but occasionally you still need a nudge to keep things on track - as it was when your posting exhibited incontinence in the CM forums and become annoying and you were simply directed to the correct place.
  14. https://www.itv.com/presscentre/press-releases/paras-drop-itv-landmark-series-elite-regiment Paras drop into ITV for landmark series on elite regiment ITV will show a brand-new landmark documentary series on the Parachute Regiment in 2019 after its doors were opened to a UK network broadcaster’s cameras for the first time since the early 1980s. For The Paras: Men Of War [WT], producers Avanti Media, commissioned by ITV, were granted unprecedented access to the elite regiment and spent 12 months filming all aspects of this closed world which turns raw recruits into elite soldiers trained to kill. Across the 3x60 series, viewers will see young men, many still in their late teenage years, pushed to the extremes of their endurance and learn vital skills - as they give their all to pass through the highly pressurised and often brutally demanding recruitment stage and be accepted into the regiment. Only a few of those who join up will make it to the end. The Paras: Men Of War [WT] will offer a unique perspective and unflinching account of what it takes to make the grade, as well as providing an intimate insight into the characters of the young men and the officers charged with transforming them into battle ready paratroopers, who are the first in to any conflict. Throughout the series they talk openly about their experiences both in training and in combat - and reflect on the challenges they face, providing an often disarming and enlightening view into the mindset of the soldiers and the reality of the unique culture of the Paras. And the series will follow the recruits who make it into the regiment, filming them up close and personal on their first major assignments as they prepare for new military threats. The Paras: Men Of War [WT] is commissioned for ITV by Tom Giles, Controller of Current Affairs and produced by Neil Grant [Executive Producer] and Nick Betts [Series Producer/Director] for Avanti. Tom said: “At a moment when the armed forces are under more scrutiny than ever, this new series presents a unique opportunity to see inside the world of the Parachute Regiment, which is usually firmly closed to outsiders, and get a powerful understanding of the people and culture within an elite, sometimes controversial, regiment that we all know of, but about which we have little real inside knowledge.” Neil Grant, Executive Producer said: “This is no ordinary and predictable army access documentary. This is raw, honest and revealing - sugar coated it isn’t. Uniquely this series goes inside the Para mindset of what it takes to succeed and the personal consequences of failing to make the grade. It’s an intimate portrait of loyalty and honour, of the kill or be killed mindset and being a member of the Regiment entitled to wear the coveted maroon beret.” Nick Betts, Series Producer / Director said: “The Paras are trained killers who’ve courted secrecy, controversy and admiration in equal measure, and who largely view all ‘media’ with extreme caution. The dialogue with the Regiment involved a long period of just listening, without filming - but then slowly the real men behind their identities as soldiers emerged. The ambition of the series was to show the raw, often brutal truth of why young men from all backgrounds desire to become Paratroopers. And in order to do this they must strip away the person they are, to become capable of killing.”
  15. Are you now saying that CM should model Canadian pixeltroopen avec plimsoll super stealth equipment option. As even in your original misplaced post you stated it wasn't applicable to CM ..." I do not believe CM can accommodate the weapon load this man took into battle or the Stealth mode changing footwear afforded him." Come on JK you've had to be literally potty trained on this forum as you had to learn the hard way to self-moderate yourself with making Woo posts by following simple rules governing your behaviour - quite sucessfully if I may say so - though you still rage and harbour bitterness with the site's owners for making you do so. (despite free access to other outlets for that content i.e your own website, etc.) Then to make up for it you embarked compulsively posting anything and everything military related turning this forum into a directory of random links that pass by your eye with all the subtlety and thought of a search engine algorithm gone amok.
  16. Mods moved it from CM-GD to GDF as JK was cluttering up CM Game topic forums with random military history posts , such as this thread, not directly related to CM titles / gameplay.
  17. Both sides pixltroopen are currently overly skittish when off map arty gets amongst them - it will be patched soon. No
  18. If it's mines - then yes arty esp heay calibre will degrade it, as well as canny engineers given time and patience. Read more about it in the game's PDF manual.
  19. Coming to a boil nicely PS Jones the cat in Alien / Vasquez in Aliens? So a space Alien theme going on... Carry on
  20. Nope - at the tiime the game is set the US has its airforce mainly for the task. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Army_air_defense
  21. Speed of movement order could be a contributing factor - I've noticed of late a few players in youtube vids and screenshots using 'fast' order for everything. It could cause adverse effects when entering buildings with AI thinking the urgency in gaining entry gives precedence over everything else, and that door round the corner will help get everyone in in the shortest time. Hopefully folk are clicking a waypoint immediately in front of the door they want to enter rather than just plonking it directly in the building in a long bound and hoping the pixeltroopen will infer precisely what was in the player's mind. PS Brit troops should queue come what may as it's our national sport....
