  1. I believe most of the campaigns that were in Blitzkrieg were enhanced and included in Weapons and Warfare except for the Global campaign. For that one there are a few mods that were made to include a Weapons and Warfare version but after that we simply created the upcoming Strategic Command WWII Global Conflict release that includes all the latest and greatest features and enhancements. Hubert
  2. Same issue for me here, I can't seem to recreate this either and I wonder if Full Screen mode will work better for your system. Alternatively you can try and make sure you are running the latest version of Weapons and Warfare via the patches page and update your Video Card driver to see if that helps. Hubert
  3. I've tried to repeat all of these and I have not been able to do it, I wonder if you try running in Full Screen mode if it works as expected? I realize you prefer Windowed mode but if it works in Full Screen mode the nice thing is that you can still Alt-Tab back and forth, it just takes a little bit longer to refresh the in game graphics as they are entirely reset when running in Full Screen mode.
  4. 1. The path can be controlled by using the mouse and the Ctrl button on the keyboard, i.e. you can set waypoints. 2. I think this is a possibility in the future 3. We've thought about it and while it is a great feature for head to head games the AI would have a real hard time dealing with it effectively so the option was left out. 4. At the moment there are only adjacent unit penalties but this is something we have also considered developing further.
  5. Unfortunately the windowed capability is not backwards compatible and was only made available for Weapons and Warfare and the subsequent games that have followed. Hubert
  6. Great ideas here gentlemen and I wish I would have a bit more time to provide an indepth analysis but just a quick FYI that I'm on a bit of a break over here as we just had a new addition to the family this month, a baby boy I probably won't be back up to full speed until the game is released in March, but definitely keep the ideas coming
  7. sedas, I would suggest testing out the SC Global Conflict Demo once that becomes available to get a better idea but in the meantime you could always try out one of the previous demos such as the one for Weapons and Warfare as it too can give you an idea of how the SC series will play. 8. Hi mjm800, Glad to hear you are enjoying the game 1. You can certainly do this and this would just require you to edit the OFFENSIVE scripts as needed, but the good thing about the existing scripts is that the AI will only DoW on these countries when it is sufficiently ready to, i.e. it has the appropriate number of units in place and so on. If you change this to hard dates, it will of course DoW on the historical dates but it might not have the right number of units in place and may actually be less effective. You can of course compensate for this by adding in UNIT events as needed. 2. You can change this but as you noticed you then have to edit a few other scripts that are tied into the existing USSR settings. Alternatively you could turn off USSR/USA resources via a set of RESOURCE events so that they only activate once they are activated so that this way they will have less early MPPs for purchases etc. Take a look at the Urals Industry RESOURCE event for some ideas. 3. Unfortunately not at the moment 4. This was just a design decision made a long time ago 5. Another design decision just to keep things simple 6. Unfortunately no as there is no detection percentage to edit Hubert
  9. Hi Pcpilot, To be honest I am not sure at all why you would be receiving this error message and it is the first I've heard of it. Can you check and see if it is indeed missing that file in the appropriate 'Bitmaps' folder for your installation? To do this you would have to navigate to your WaW installation directory and then to the Bitmaps folder. If you are missing it, you can download it from here and then paste it into your Bitmaps folder as needed and that should fix the issue for you. http://www.furysoftware.com/images/strength_values_sprites.bmp Hubert
  10. Hi Warphammer, The Axis income collection amounts can be a little misleading as Japan receives a high valued convoy from the Dutch East Indies at 90 MPP and its base MPP is boosted by several US oil mines reflecting the US oil trade to Japan. These can be found on the bottom right hand portion of the map. Initially this has it appear that Japan is collecting more than Germany but its base income is actually rather low and once the Dutch East Indies convoy is no longer available to Japan and once the US cuts off the oil to Japan, Japanese income will severely drop and this usually happens in mid 1941. The only reason the DEI convoy is so high and that Japan recieves significant US oil income is to reflect the importance of these resources to Japan and how it will affect them once they are cut off, i.e. Japan needs to aggressively prepare for all out war in order to maintain her military capability once her MPPs are cut in 1941. Germany can press Italy and this will only help to have them join earlier than they did historically but otherwise Al is correct, Italy will eventually join and the Diplomatic points may be better spent on other countries like Spain that can help the Axis out if they can then gain control of Gibraltar etc. For HQs you can right click on it and toggle the HQ mode from Auto, to Auto-Assist to Manual and this will then allow you to change the HQ attachments. For the User Manual, if this is a review copy you received it should be included with the installation as a PDF file. You can access this in the Program Group links for the game or if you navigate to the installation directory you can find it there. Additionally it is online found here: http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_flippingbook&book_id=15&Itemid=388 If you prefer, you can also contact me directly at info@furysoftware.com if you have more questions. 11. I believe the SC Beta Tester can be edited in your profile, probably something Al never realized or decided not to do and that is fair enough as it is optional.
  12. Hvs, sounds good and for KF, I don't think I can answer it any better than what Moon has already said above, sorry! Hubert
  13. Hi Bo, For Rommel this is a set of Axis AI scripts only as we previously tried to have the AI ship Rommel down there but too often he is intercepted or heavily damaged on the way, i.e. an Allied human player will always be better at blocking transports than an AI will be in getting transports across the Med, so to balance this out and to ensure that North Africa remains interesting for each game we simply scripted these unit arrivals each game for the Axis AI. Beyond that you are correct though that an Axis human player will have to do this themselves. For the Soviet invasion of Bucharest and the US invasion of Rome these were just a few AI scripts thrown in there to keep the human player honest. Admittedly I could have made it more random though so it would not happen every game. For the Destroyers the AI will aggressively hunt down raiders on the convoys, likely better than a human player would but as pzgndr suggests this is different for Global and PDE as the last known positions are now known to everyone so this won't seem like much of an advantage anymore for the newer releases. Hope this helps, Hubert
  14. Hyazinth von Strachwitz, definitely submit a support ticket to http://www.battlefront.com/helpdesk and I am sure they can get your version of PT up and running again on your new computer. Hubert
  15. Hi Geofighter, Just to echo what Bill has mentioned above, I believe the pre-order announcement mentions about 4 to 6 weeks from the late January announcement so we are pretty much looking at a February release, end of February in the worst case. Thanks for your interest and I really think you will enjoy the game Hubert
  16. While the detailed info is not accessible in game, it is included in the manual if you check the Appendix sections, as the manual is posted online, and this includes the PROS and CONS for each decision as well as how it will link to subsequent decisions. Hope this helps, Hubert
  17. Italy is a minor in this release so while they will not have units in the Horn of Africa at the start of the game, as soon as they are activated the applicable Italian units will appear on the map including in the Horn. Needless to say expect some interesting battles down there for control of that area
  18. Hi Chodan, The minimum specs would be the same as they were for the Pacific Theater release and are as follows: CPU: 1 GHz Processor RAM: 512 MB OS: Windows XP/Vista DirectX: 7 Video Card: 128 MB with 32-Bit Color supporting at least 1024 pixels in height and 768 pixels in width Sound Card: 16-Bit DirectSound compatible CD-ROM: 8x or better HD: 800MB free Hard Disk space Your system would of course have no issues with the game and in fact I run a very similar system for development. Added to that we've introduced a new 'Quick Animation' feature that cuts the AI animation time in half as well as several AI optimizations that have dramatically improved the speed of the AI. For example the early Global map turns, run with Quick Animation run at about 2 to 3 minutes on my end. That being said we will have a Demo released, ready for when the game is shipping, and you can always re-evaluate then if needed. Hope this helps, Hubert
  19. Thanks for your support silver_bullet, much appreciated.
  20. Great recent campaign additions Cantona66 and thanks for sharing, I hope everyone will enjoy what these campaigns have to offer as well
  21. Thanks again everyone and we are looking forward to this final stretch as well
  22. Thanks for the files and just to report this looks just like a few AI errors for Anti-Aircraft as the issues don't exist in the other game play modes. Consider this fixed for the next patch. Hubert
  23. Great to hear and another option is to simply have the scripts only fire when Italy is fully active. You can do this with a #VARIABLE_CONDITION for when Italy is only at 100%.
  24. Hi Jynx11, You can mix and match the sprites as needed as the bitmap files are all available and editable. You just need a bitmap editing program such as MS Paint etc. Hope this helps, Hubert
