  1. Sorry about the trouble but I can confirm that this is a known error that has been fixed for v1.04 which should be ready soon.
  2. I believe so, as long as the USSR is fully mobilized, i.e. at 100%, then it should be possible.
  3. Scook, For which campaigns did you find this as I can't seem to be able to repeat it, i.e. German subs can upgrade and reinforce but cannot 'resupply'. Thanks, Hubert
  4. Thomm, sounds a lot like things over at my place as well, wife + self + 3 year old daughter also on antibiotics, no coughing though, 8 month old son that still refuses to sleep at night, was up for 2 hours yet again, but at least my computer still works... thankfully!
  5. MJY, Sounds like my high school history class all over again Hubert
  6. Lookout... Jollyguy is back! Great to hear you are enjoying the game and thanks for the kudos as well. For the scripts, I'll be honest in saying there is no easy way to tell you what each one does as the writeup would be very long and detailed as we have grown now to literally hundreds of events. Probably the best bet would be to crack open the Editor and review the unit script list under Campaign->Edit Event Scripts after you open the desired campaign. From there you will see all the descriptive headers for the unit events and after that you can then open the file and review the actual events for all their conditions etc. Hope this helps! Hubert
  7. This is a bug as this should be a user definable option and should not be set automatically as it is in v1.03. This will be fixed in the next patch, Hubert
  8. Thanks for the feedback and I don't necessarily disagree with the historical possibilities, I'm more or less simply referring to consistent game mechanics. For example, since Germany and Japan are set to be non-cooperative majors this prevents them from operating air units back and forth as well as limits the use of ports. The limited use of ports may make less sense in this context as they were likely to allow for what Pacestick describes above but let's say in the context of the USSR docking ships in the USA. Would the US be that cooperative to resupply, repair and upgrade a Soviet ship? Again I'm just referring of the generic game mechanics that are in place once we set nations to be non-cooperative majors and not necessarily what might have happened in the war... so if we allow ships to receive supply, repair and upgrade in non cooperative ports then this would be the case for all non cooperative majors etc.
  9. Sounds like a bit of both as Japan should not be able to resupply with non-cooperative majors but we should probably limit reinforcement/upgrades as well in this case. I'll look into this for the next patch, thanks! Hubert
  10. Hi Baron, It might be a few more weeks as we are still wrapping up a few items. Hubert
  11. Hi Morbius, Welcome to the forums and Bill is correct in describing the use of the 'F' keys as we use these to debug the game during development. However, if you want to just watch AI vs AI you only need to use the 'F4' key as the other ones handle different debugging options. Hope this helps, Hubert
  12. Hi Dragon, Unfortunately this cannot be changed during the game but must, as you discovered, be set before you start the game via the Editor. Hubert
  13. This is unfortunately a Vista/Windows 7 issue and not related to the game at all... see here for more info: http://www.hanselman.com/blog/VistasShowCompatibilityFilesAndTheScrumptiousWonderThatIsFileVirtualization.aspx
  14. If Battlefront doesn't carry the older patches you can usually find it on the web, for example here is a site that carries the v1.02 patch. http://www.brothersoft.com/games/strategic-command-wwii-global-conflict-patch-v1.02.html
  15. Are you both playing the same version of Strategic Command Global Conflict? This error usually occurs when the saved game file is from a different version of the game you are playing etc.
  16. Just a quick follow up in that I think I found the error, consider it fixed for the next build.
  17. Hi Gronq, Can you tell me if you were playing in Windowed or Full Screen mode? Thanks, Hubert
  18. Thanks for the reports, consider it fixed for the next build. Hubert
  19. No it shouldn't matter, perhaps Nupremal simply did not give Polish fighters double intercepts in his mod as this is an editable value and not necessarily applied to all nations.
  20. Great to hear and glad you finally got it working as expected
  21. Sabot6, We had an issue with the automatic 'raider mode' in Beta but I had hoped that it was resolved for the release. Anyone else notice that ships are automatically switching to 'Raider' mode as I am unable to repeat it? We did miss adding this to the User Manual with the last update and I'll look to fix that for the next patch. David, You are right about the subs that they go into Silent mode if they dive and escape... we added this as a counter balance to the more favorable and recent changes to Destroyers when coming into contact with Subs. The thinking was to help preserve the cat and mouse game at sea etc. Hubert
  22. Ok if it is just recent then it is not likely the patch that is causing the issues. What are the error messages? Did your computer go through a security update or something similar? Perhaps downloading the latest video card driver might resolve it for you and if not I would suggest a full uninstall and reinstall. Also, it sounds like there might be an issue with the save directory, could it be set to 'Read Only' or something like that? How much hard drive space do you have left on your system?
