  1. CSS, The mods should all be compatible but it is up to the modders to take advantage of any of the new features such as updating Fighters to have double intercepts in the Combat Target data etc.
  2. Thanks SeaMonkey, much appreciated It has been a bit busy on my end the last little while but I too am lurking and still taking notes as much as possible for items for the future.
  3. Hi AZGungHo, Did this behavior just recently occur or immediately after you applied the patch? I'm only wondering because if it is recent it is most likely an Operating System issue. Can you try the following? 1) Delete all older saved game files that are no longer compatible with v1.03, i.e. from previous versions of Global. These can be found in your Save, Hotseat, Email and Network directories. 2) Reboot Let me know if this helps, Hubert
  4. No problem and thanks for forwarding it to the French community of players as well
  5. Thanks for the interest and we might have something of interest but I can't make any promises just yet
  6. Here is a link to the patch for the retail version of Global Conflict: http://www.excalibur-publishing.com/updates/Strategic_Command_WWII_Global_Conflict_v103_Patch.zip
  7. I can understand this but to be honest it is a tough call as once you have an option it is difficult to take it away after players are used to having it especially since there are those that like the option as it is. That being said we'll be more careful in the future to set it up the way you suggest at the outset.
  8. I've just tested it on my end and it still appears to work as it did before, perhaps try what crispy131313 suggests and see if that helps.
  9. xwormwood, I believe boudi is referring to the fact that we have not yet released a retail v1.03 patch for Global just yet and wondering when the existing v1.03 Battlefront patch will be available for retail. Either way something is in the works and we should have more info soon.
  10. I just wanted to add that I've been enjoying the AARs as well, thanks to all for doing them
  11. Borsook, can you send me a private email as I might have a fix that I'd like to test for 1 and 2.
  12. Armuss makes a good point and it was for situations like these that we initially had the code work the way it did, perhaps simply giving HQs defense values > 0 would do the trick. The downside is that with the +/- 1 modifier HQs might give back a counter strike of 2 if their minimum is set to 1.
  13. Looks like I may have opened a bit of a Pandora's box here with this bug. There were arguments/mods in favor of having units with 0s in the applicable category not apply any counter damage via the +/- 1 combat modifier but I can see how some may like this. I'm inclined to change it back unless this is very much preferable, let me know
  14. Vespa, I'll see what I can but I can confirm that I've made the adjustment for sleeping units as Borsook suggested above.
  15. When you start adding in feature changes, campaign changes and other major items it often unfortunately changes the data structure of the saved game files themselves rendering the older ones incompatible. In the end and when you look at the list of changes you usually see that we go above and beyond what is usually included in a patch, which is mostly bug fixes. Hopefully this minor inconvenience is a small enough price to pay for the level of support we provide for our games post release.
  16. This looks like an old script error where we had two scripts with overlapping positions, i.e. one for adding units and one for no units. I'll fix this for the next patch.
  17. Robert, quick question and this is if the original was a custom map perhaps created with the Map Generator? I only ask as the default maps should all be even numbers for creation and imports and perhaps I think this then might be an issue with the Map Generator.
  18. I would suggest a reboot and follow this up by downloading and installing the latest sound and video card drivers for your system. This usually resolves this type of error. Hope this helps, Hubert
  19. Thanks for the report wlape3 and I can say that the Editor does hold some information in memory that is flushed once the campaign is saved, i.e. the undo list and so on. Not sure why it is slowing down as much as it is as this is the first such report but I'll keep an eye out for what might be causing the issue. Thanks, Hubert
  20. With the added units, rules and AI improvements it unfortunately has slowed the game down. That is a part of the give and take and hopefully the newer additions make it worthwhile for most players. Hubert
  21. If you go to your monitor settings on your netbook, can you change the minimum resolution or adjust to a stretch setting of some kind? Apparently under the Advanced options in the screen Settings menu, there's a monitor tab. It contains a checkbox that says "hide modes that monitor cannot display" and this might enable you to play at 1024x768. I'm not 100% though as I do not have a netbook on my end but I have had reports that the game is playable with the right setting adjustment. It would be great to hear back if you can get it working. Hubert
  22. Vespa, for a recall of the summary of events we now have the 'L' enabled that will show you a log of the main events from the last turn... does this not help?
