  1. Is this for one of the campaigns that came with the Breakthrough release or is it happening with a non Breakthrough campaign? If it is the latter, then my reply in the other thread should address the issue for you.
  2. There have been changes to the Breakthrough game engine and as a result you cannot simply load any of the older, non Breakthrough campaigns without updating some of the BMPs. This is likely causing your crashes. If you take a look at the Breakthrough installation folder, specifically the Bitmaps subfolder, you'll see all the bitmaps that have changed for Breakthrough. Please ensure that any campaign you are attempting to import have these updated Bitmap sprites in the custom campaign subfolder Bitmaps folder. You'll also have to ensure that the campaign.ini file has the following line set: #CUSTOM_BITMAPS= 1 You might want to open the campaign in the Editor as well and run through all the scripts as some of the scripts require some changes as well, this will simply ensure that the campaign then plays properly in game. Hope this helps, Hubert
  3. Thanks for understanding and passion is good too, nothing ever wrong with that
  4. Hi Hellfirejet, just a reminder to go easy on comments like this. We've had problems in the past with threads getting out of hand and the easiest way to prevent that is for everyone to post nice
  5. Hi Irishal, WWI no longer uses the eLicense system so no need to de-register any license as this option is no longer applicable. You should be able to license the game on your work computer without a hitch
  6. If you navigate to your installation folder you should see a subfolder called 'SAVE'. From there you can just grab the file that corresponds to the saved turn you created and then attach it to your email as an 'attachment' in your mail program. Should do the trick and if you have any trouble, just let us know, Hubert
  7. Just a quick heads up that I've just changed this on my end as suggested and we'll test it out but I think there shouldn't be any problems with this change.
  8. Very glad to hear it gentlemen and please don't hesitate to spread the word
  9. There are ways to do this such as if there were no changes to the options and features and the AI or game engine code, i.e. essentially if the expansion was just a list of new campaigns, then there would be no need for a separate installation and it could just be a campaign expansion install that would install into the same existing folder as the base game. However, since Breakthrough is for the most part a new game, albeit built upon the original WWI base game so it does share some files, this is not an option and needs some of its own support files, i.e. compatible with only Breakthrough, as well as a new set of executables and so on. In this case what could be done is to have a launcher that will display the list of campaigns and then launch the applicable game EXE for the particular campaign. It is doable but I'd have to think about the effort involved as it just not something we've done before and perhaps something to think about for the future. Either way though, in the end it would still be more or less the same result, older campaigns only compatible with the base game EXE and newer campaigns only compatible with the new expansion EXE.
  10. Just to try and clarify here, Breakthrough is an expansion to the previous WWI game and it comes with a brand new executable including many new features and options that only the new campaigns are compatible with. This is the same with all of our past expansions and the older campaigns that come with the base game are just that, older campaigns that only work with the base game. Hopefully that helps to clear that up, Hubert
  11. Unfortunately some A/V programs are flagging the encryption protection in the game software incorrectly as a virus or "guessing" that it might be a virus and it is safe to whitelist the either the installer and/or the game EXEs in order to proceed. I hope this helps, Hubert
  12. Well since you've asked so nicely That's a good question regarding some of the arrows and looking at them now they look like some of them could certainly be amalgamated between the Axis and Allies. With Breakthrough we did add a new feature that a loop arrow could be used by ANY country and this will be more helpful for future map designs. I hope this helps, Hubert
  13. If you have the saved turn right before France surrendered that would be the most helpful and if so please send it to support@furysoftware.com and I'd be happy to take a look.
  14. In terms of the AI it handles them just like Battleships but takes into account that they are a bit different in terms of stats and adjusts accordingly for that.
  15. Just to clarify, the base game will not be updated when you purchase the Breakthrough expansion. To do that you'll still need to update it to v1.06 but it does not have to be at v1.06 for the expansion to run.... you just need the base game installed.
  16. I can confirm that v1.06 will be included in the Bundle package for the up coming release.
  17. Yes that is always the case with our expansions, you can either purchase just the expansion if you already own the base game or a package that includes both games. Hubert
  18. Hi Krista, If you go to the SETTINGS dialog found in the MAIN MENU screen of the game you can select enable/disable the Full Screen option. If playing with the Full Screen option disabled then the game will appear in a window in the middle of your screen. To further reduce the size of the window, you can change the resolution of the window, i.e. smaller, in the SETTINGS dialog as well. I'm not 100% sure if this will help with an on screen keyboard but hopefully it does. Hubert
  19. Hi Grim Reaper, Thanks for your interest and just to confirm, you will indeed need the base WWI game to play this expansion, I hope this helps. Hubert
  20. Hi DrunkenLuftwaffe, Things are going well on our end and as far as we can tell we are still on track to meet the original 8-12 week release time we announced in July... so if all continues to go right, soon enough Hubert
  21. Speaking of which we'll hopefully post the new features for Breakthrough in the forums this week, including the latest SUPPLY rules
  22. All I can say is a real sincere thanks for all the support we've received over the years, it does mean a lot to us, and we'll get there hopefully soon enough. It is just one of these things that take time unfortunately and especially so ever since the games have become more in depth and detailed.... you all have Bill to thank for that Kuni, not sure if were being serious about JerseyJohn, but if so I'm really sorry to hear that.
  23. Is it the #AI= 2 in the unit script perhaps?
