Unfortunately I don't think this will change... problem is that the convoys are intended to be naval routes first and foremost with the engine trying to find the "best" route given the waypoints... in your case it worked fine until a proper sea route became available as it will then plot a path accordingly

Interesting ideas and just to clarify... if an AF attacking at 10 and is intercepted and reduced to 8, then the resulting combat between the AF and its original target would be with the AF at strength=8. FoW may not show this when viewing the expected combat results as an interceptor may be hidden, but when playing without FoW (or if the interceptor is not hidden) the expected combat results take interceptor action into full account and probably why it might seem that the AF has still performed its maximum damage despite interception.
  4. Japinard, I just tried this in v1.04 using your same steps and it worked fine... what values did you enter in step 6? Also did you select 'Yes' when asked to update the related scripts? Any more information will be helpful in tracking down what might be the problem. Also I would suggest taking a look at the Editor Help File as it has some good notes on how to shift contents etc.

  6. Terif, I agree having a separate category for influence of majors and minors would be nice as well... we'll see what I can do wrt this in the future.
  7. Yogi Diplomacy and Research can be turned off within the Editor under Campaign->Edit Campaign Data->Advanced. You can then save it as a Custom campaign and play from that one instead of the Default. Hope this helps, Hubert

True, the only problem is that probably any other solution would force me to change code and most likely add in an extra data feature to hold just how much influence diplo should have over majors as I am not sure just halving diplo effect on majors is the best solution considering customization etc., i.e. it is also not immediately apparent when viewing diplo in the Editor unless you look for the describing text in a README file
  9. #1 it should actually use the AF with the highest readiness, first check is to simply see if there is an AF in range and then it checks for the one with the highest readiness. Could be a bug so if anyone has a turn where this does not appear to work as intended please send me a turn so I can take a look Send to support@furysoftware.com #3 I've tried to reproduce but so far have not been able to... truth is that I unfortunately I don't have the time to chase this type of error unless I can look at a turn where it is repeatable so if anyone encounters this in one of their games, i.e. during a PBEM replay etc., please don't hesitate to send me a turn so I can take a look.
  10. How about just halving the overall effects of Diplomacy in general but keeping the minor influence bonus the same? This would have the effect of slowing down hits on majors as well as minors such as Spain at the same time. What do you think?

  16. hellraiser, this looks like a small error I introduced with the v1.04 patch that will be corrected for the next one... if you delete any older incompatible campaigns in your 'Campaign' folder this should resolve the problem Let me know if this works for you, Hubert
  17. Just a reference to see if the folder was somehow changed to be Read-Only... rare I know but I've seen that happen every once in a while for no apparent reason. Either way, glad to see you got it working again
  18. TaoJah, can you check to see if the permissions on your save game folders have changed?
