  1. Just a follow up on what Ludi reported and it was indeed a case where his opponent had Level-2 subs to his 0-Level ASW destroyers. In this case it will produce a skewed surprise contact result but one thing I can experiment with for the next patch is to simply have the Hidden Attacker Bonus reduce the attacker losses for the sub but not necessarily increase the defender losses. This and matching experience and research levels on the part of the player should help normalize this type of situation a little bit more. This would of course be a generic change and essentially the idea is that the surprised encounter would benefit the hidden unit in terms of potential losses (lowered losses via a higher readiness) but the surprised unit would suffer normal damages from a regular attack/defense combat calculation.
  2. Ludi1867, If you still have the original EMAIL turn please feel free to send it to me so I can take a look. Otherwise it is still difficult to comment as your opponent may have upgraded his subs if he achieved a higher research level or he may have also had a higher experience than you expected. Not saying that there may not be a bug but there are many variables that can affect the outcome of surprise combat and without seeing it first hand it really is difficult for me to conclude one way or the other.
  3. Okay I see what you are saying now... although there is that graphical glitch I was still able to move the tank to the selected tile location. For now I would simply suggest to right click to cancel the Paratrooper movement as at least this does not introudce the graphical glitch.
  4. Youri, to speed up the AI turn simply press the F3 key once in game. This will accelerate the AI animations and combat for the AI turn. To turn this off just press F3 a second time. Hope this helps, Hubert
  5. Retrieval and I/O errors usually indicate a failed connection. 1. No 2. The autosaves are always created at the end of your turn, i.e. for any game play mode as this enables you to restart your following turn from the beginning should you encounter any issues. Hope this helps, Hubert
  6. This is a restriction of minor air forces where they can only operate to connected territory. This was a change made a long time ago when SC2 Blitzkrieg was first released where I wanted to prevent let's say the Polish air force operating to England and the Canadian Air Force operating to France etc.
  7. dodge, I tried to repeat what you have described and I am unfortunately unable to do so... seems to be working fine on my end. Hubert
  8. powergmbh is correct in the sense that if there is a convoy relationship between a major and a minor country then that is the only way to receive MPP. The supply situation is a bit different in WaW where it can only increase if it is connected by rail. So in this case if you can successfully connect Scandinavia by rail to Germany the value of the resources go up but the transfer of MPPs is still only via convoy.
  9. william bowen, WaW around here refers to the Weapons and Warfare Expansion pack available for Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg. For the questions on the Global campaign, for now it is a free addon for the SC2 Blitzkrieg system but is currently slated for an upgrade to the Weapons and Warfare game engine (amongst other planned improvements/enhancements). Keep in mind that the SC2 Blitzkrieg game engine is over a year old and that this campaign will of course have some limitations relative to the new game engine we now have available via the Expansion pack. Off hand though it is a fantastic effort by a member of the mod community, i.e. in terms of what he was able to achieve via the old game engine, but the feedback has been positive enough that we will be more than happy to produce an upgraded version for some time down the road. Note, the AI will also be enhanced as work progresses on the upgrade. Hope this helps, Hubert
  10. Hi Steven482, At the moment there is no such feature. A request also came up for something similar a few years back and while I have kept it in the back of my mind it is one of those things where there is always so much to do and so little time Hubert
  11. Not a feature but I'd have to see it in action to understand what might have happened. Any chance you can email me with the approximate postions of the units before you saw this error? Hubert
  12. It should then work... are you sure you loaded the correct campaign in game? Note, any changes to the campaign only take effect on new games not games in progress... could this be the case?
  13. Sombra, Thanks for the feedback and I'm very glad to hear you are enjoying the modifications made to the expansion as we put a lot of time and thought into it Hubert
  14. FuChu, What you did should have worked. Perhaps you did not resave after you edited the scripts?
  15. Stalin's Organist, Are you back? I thought you moved on?
  16. Thanks, those are similar in size to SC2 so nothing out of the ordinary there.
  17. Sombra, No reason that I can think of as this was tested prior to release and ran just as fast as usual under high speed connections... can you tell me which campaign this is for? Also, can you tell me the typical file size for the TCP/IP autosaves? Anyone else notice this? Hubert
  18. Targul, If you have a saved game please send it to me so I'll gladly take a look. Send to support@furysoftware.com. The only reason I mentioned the above is that the Italian air CTV values are really not much different from the rest of the CTV values for other countries so my guess is that some other factor is perhaps skewing the combat odds against your favour.
  19. Gorgin, Good points and we will make adjustments in the future. Hubert
  20. I'd like to say thanks to John for his feedback as well. Also considering the limitations of the SC2 engine it is simply amazing just how well this campaign does play and what a fine job David did overall . That being said there is always room for improvement and based on your feedback much of this can be resolved by moving the game to the WaW engine. In the meantime there was really no reason to hold this campaign back and it was my pleasure to add in some AI for solo play and release it in a patch for the Blitzkrieg version of SC2. For the remaining items there are already plans in the works to expand on what has been provided via the WaW engine and these include additional country slots, i.e. this way we can probably have Canada, India, Australia in game (if desired) and at least eliminate the double India seen on the map. Lots of ideas and I think you guys will be VERY HAPPY with what we have in store for with respect to future of this campaign. Hubert
  21. Targul, Are you sure there were no interceptors in the combat losses estimation? For example, UK Air Fleets or perhaps a Carrier. Also, it could have been that the Italian air was low on supply or not supported by an HQ to produce such a drastic difference... additionally many factors including experience, morale and readiness could affect these numbers as well.
  22. Gandalf, San Diego is only temporarily Axis controlled to reflect Oil transfers to Japan from the US prior to hostilities. Once hostilities commence those US tiles revert to full US control.
