  1. xwormwood, can you try running the game in 16 bit mode? For example, you said you tried 1600x1200x32. Can you try 1600x1200x16 instead and see if that helps?
  2. There is a Program Group icon with a link to a PDF document on SC2 to WaW conversion written by Bill Macon. Here is a link from the MODS forum with more details: http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=59;t=000398;p=1#000009
  3. VonBrecht, Unfortunately we do not officially support the Mac but with that being said the only thing I can think of that may be the cause, i.e. the only real change that may be related to this issue, is the changes implemented to run the game in a windowed mode and in multiple resolutions. I would suggest experimenting with these settings and perhaps not running the game in windowed mode but rather in full screen instead. This may require a re-install though. Also, if you can describe how you are able to get the game running on the Mac that would be great to know. Hubert
  4. Great and you'll have to thank Edwin P. for many of these EVENTS as they were a part of his suggested additions to enhance solo play against the AI.
  5. CanuckGamer, Welcome to the world of Strategic Command To answer your question you are doing nothing wrong as Production is disabled for the demo. This was explained in another thread and long story short this is necessary to prevent certain creative individuals from cracking the demo and turning it into a full game.
  6. Gorgin, there is a little something extra regarding SC2 Blitzkrieg for those that have ordered the bundle pack (if you have a keen eye you will spot it)... otherwise if you have just ordered the Expansion there should be an announcement regarding Blitzkrieg in the coming days.
  7. tedder7, When using the F4 key to do AI-vs-AI it may at first glance appear that FoW has been lifted but rather it is just showing you all the units on the map for reference with a slight twist. The current AI player will have all of its units shown (same as it would be if you were playing that side) while the AI opponent will only fully show units that are visible with the remaining units shown without the base counter, i.e. those without the base counter are hidden to the AI under FoW until spotted. This is just to give you an idea of what is going on for both sides under FoW and of course it will switch when the AI plays the other side.
  8. David12345, This is actually not a bug. For solo play we added in quite a few AI specific EVENTS (many with low percentage TRIGGERS) for variety and flavour and these are just two of them that you discovered .
  9. No resizing necessary just more units so more columns sort of thing. For tips, Bill is probably the best guy to ask as he did his own mod conversion but one thing I can think of which I am not sure is in the conversion docs is to make sure you create your weather zones list before you try importing the weather map. The only reason for this is if you try and import your old weather map it cannot correlate the entries with items on your list because the list is empty. Once you re-create the weather zone list the old weather map should import fine. Not much but a bit of a time saver.
  10. Yes the AI attempts to take paths that are of the least resistance so it does take into account road to road tile movement for any map. Hubert
  11. Fintilgin, Very nice indeed... with your permission I'll gladly include this in the Extras folder for the first patch. Hubert
  12. Ottosmops, Good catch and this seemed to be missed entirely during development... I'll have a quick fix ready for this once the game is available and include it in the first patch. Hubert
  13. For reference and for those that may have missed it here is Bill's original thread on his mod for Weapons and Warfare: http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=34;t=002712#000014 An excellent mod if you ask me with a smaller scale and a fully scripted AI
  14. Biscuit60156, No this should be working fine in the demo as well but you have to remember that if you are running the demo in the same resolution as your desktop resolution you will generally not notice any difference as the game screen is maxed out. What I suggest trying is one of the lower resolutions available in the list without full screen selected and you should then see the demo run in a window as desired. It's a bit tricky but if you experiment a bit you should see what I am referring to here. Hope this helps, Hubert
  15. Exel, not sure if you are still reading the forum but you mentioned an article that covered SC2 Blitzkrieg. If you get the chance and if you still have it please send me an email as I would be curious to see it. Send to info@furysoftware.com Thanks, Hubert
  16. Fintilgin, Have you tried using the National colours option via the OPTIONS dialog? I agree it can still be difficult to see all the movement options but I find this helps especially for the white on white. For your modification I for one would be interested to see it if possible... please send to info@furysoftware.com. Thanks, Hubert
  17. dgold07, Could be that no purchases may have had an effect. Also weather and bad dice rolls can play a role on the AI as it would for a human player. Could also be that you are a better player that would require you to move up a few difficulty levels. Difficult to say as you would probably need to play a few times through with maybe even a few changes to the difficulty options to find just the right balance. The full game may also make a difference once the AI has the option to make purchases etc. For France, Paris needs to be captured and enough French units destroyed before it surrenders. Hope this helps, Hubert
  18. Sombra, With the Editor there are several options available. You could set the build limits for the new units to 0 and play a Hard Limit game... additionally to speed things up you could also adjust the Rail rules to be the same as they were in Blitzkrieg... essentially you can mix and match to play the exact type of game you are interested in playing. Lots of options Hubert
  19. Agreed and with Weapons and Warfare there are some attempts such as these POPUPS to make the game more intuitive and user friendly.
  20. Can you try upgrading to the latest video card driver as well as DirectX to see if that helps. If not send me an email at support@furysoftware.com Hubert
  21. I would also suggest to try and upgrade with the latest video driver for your card as well as the latest version of DirectX just to see if that helps.
  22. Cantona66, Couple of questions for you: 1) Does the game play faster in 16 bit mode? 2) If you change your system to run in 16 bit mode and then subsequently run the game in 16 bit mode does the graphical error still occur?
  23. MemoryLeak, the map went through an enhancement process and not an entirely new design. Essentially, and off the top of my head, we expanded the sea areas to the north so that you could now traverse around Iceland, the Mediterranean was enlarged and the North African coastline redrawn, and the UK was re-adjusted to allow for more manouever throught the Channel. There were also a few new Villages, Ports and Cities added to the game as well as the addition of countries like Saudi Arabia and so on. Weather zones were also changed and of course enhanced with the new layers for rain, snow and sandstorms. For reference though there are already some custom mods in the works for Weapons and Warfare and if it is a bigger map that you prefer I can hint that one of these mods includes just that
  24. Note this issue is also covered in the Demo README.txt file that can be found in your Demo installation directory. It also is displayed during the installation process.
