  1. This is excellent! Any chance of you doing some mods for CMBB? Certainly would like to have these Panthers on the Ost Front! Thanks!
  2. I just wanted to thank you for the great winter mods that you have released in the past. I just found out about the games ability to automatically switch over to winter BMP's with their different numbering scheme. Your mods are real masterpieces! Now, that having been said, you've got alot of work to do because there are alot of vehicles that need a good whitewashing. Now get to work! LOL! Just kidding. Thanks again.
  3. I also ordered the Se edition and have received it and am using all of the mods and the scenarios with the copy that I ordered from Battlefront's website long ago. No problem using the extra goodies with the buy it from the website edition. Further clarification, I live in Bloomingburg, New York USA. I do not have the no Waffen SS or swastika CDV edition of the original CMBB. I have the Battlefront.com swastikas and Waffen SS grenadiers don't hurt my feelings edition. I'm not certian if the SE edition goodies would work with the European edition.
  4. I'll be playing all my West Front battles with CMAK. That screen shot is great! The excitement is building!
  5. I should have added, I'm counting on it being the same excellent game engine as in CMBB.
  6. CMBB is not balanced? Why not? Not picking a fight here just curious as to the reason for your remark. If I'm not mistaken, the CMAK game engine will be near, if not, identical to the CMBB engine. (Someone correct me here if I am misinformed.)
  7. Unless the graphics in CMAK are head and shoulders above CMBB I will probably frequent both forums for quite some time. I prefer the Eastern front. I will definitely spend alot of time initially recreating some of the Western Front battles with the Italian terrain and equipment. Personally, I have very little interest in North Africa. I will end up firing up some battles in North Africa to see the sand clouds behind the vehicles but beyond that, I won't spend alot of time there. At this point I'm guessing that most of my posts will be split between the CMBB and CMAK forums for about 3 to 5 months and then the majority will be in the CMBB forum. I'm hoping that with the return of CMMODS.com that not all of the modders will plunge their entire being into CMAK. Just having found out that the winter BMP's are entirely seperate and the game uses them when it sees snow on the ground, I would really like to see modders "hit the slopes" if you will with some really good whitewash mods.
  8. Strictly a hypothetical situation so here's my two cents. The Western Allies would have used any intact German forces that were still fit to fight. That means, Tigers and Panthers would have rolled side by side with Shermans and Pershings. As one poster has already pointed out, don't forget about the British and for that matter the Canadians. Just my opinion here so I've got nothing to back it up but I think the Germans would have bent over backwards to help with this victory. Please post if you disagree. I would like to hear what you think about any German participation in this hypothetical question. - also - The Americans were the first to develop and use the bomb.
  9. Thanks guys. I think for now I will just copy the 38t A bmp's to the G and E numbers.
  10. Does anyone know what the winter bitmap ranges are for these vehicles? Thanks in advance.
  11. Received my copy today. They sent it by US Postal Service for $1.99 shipping. Looking forward to getting home and taking a look at the scenarios and mods.
  12. What's with Kansas? I spent a week teaching an imaging software class in Witchita once. It's pretty flat out there.

  14. Mr.Tittles, Thanks for the link/information. Interesting.
  15. Tracer, Did you try 1944militaria.com for the original k98 sling? I just saw this on his site: Original German WWII k98 Leather Slings- These are original slings and are in used condition. These are a very dark brown, almost black, color from being used in the war, storage and age. Most have some type of manufacturer marking or date on the leather or metal hardware, but some are not marked. We would not recommend using these for re-enacting due to the age. These would be great for putting on the original k98 rifle in your collection. Good condition. We only have ones that are un-marked for $35.00 You may want to call or e-mail him to see if he has any.
  16. Is there any good books on this tank-destroyer that anyone knows about? I don't think the Germans made very many but this may have been one of the most successful vehicles produced in the war if the game is any indication of it's potency. As with most of the Uber weapons produced by the Germans towards the end, I'm sure that this fell into the "too little, too late" category. I like to expirement with some of the Germans better tanks and tank destroyers. I set up a quick battle wher ethe Soviets have +50% advantage and make it a pure armor game. I let the AI pick the Soviet equipment and I pick one veteran or better Uber tank and see how I can do. Extreme Fog of War is on. I have had a tremendous amount of fun trying to hold up 20+ enemy tanks and tank-destroyers with one vehicle. What a blast! I had an extremely successful run the other day with a Jagdpanther. The only real drawback was the amount of ammo it carried. If the terrain is favorable to the defender, a tank-destroyer like the Jagdpanther can do an incredible amount of damage. After about 15 enemy shots ricocheting off the frontal armor, finally one shell damaged the gun.
  17. (HORNS BLOWING MAJESTICALLY!) All bow before the Magnificent and Mighty Andreas! (whispering to armored legions: If anyone doesn't bow kill them where they stand.) All Hail! (MORE HORNS!) LOL! I wish CABRON66 was here to see just how zany this whole thing got.
  18. Really looking forward to recreating some of the Western Front scenarios with the, in my opinion, better game engine.

  20. I'll pass on the Pee-on Pope title. How about: Jack Carr - Bishop of Battlefront (Horns blowing in the background)?
  21. As in the other NY thread, I would be interested in attending this depending on where in NY it is held. I am approximately an hour and a half north of New York City.

  23. As far as CMBO goes, I have always found the Tiger to be extremely vulnerable. I base this on personal experience. The words, "Frontal penetration at weak point" haunt me in my sleep. The culprit behind this hideous message is more often than not an M5A1 Stuart. Not a Hellcat, Pershing, EZ8, or other Allied SUV with a decent main gun but a Stuart. At this point, I feel like a broken record. Good Luck!
