  1. Been trying to use FRAPS but can't get it to take pics.
  2. I am amazed at the BMP3M. 105mm gun, 30mm autocannon, and three MG's. Oh and did I mention its 8 ATGM's and that it can carry about 9 troops plus a huge amount of ammo and RPG's etc. Other than you can't use it in close combat with a tank, it's a real monster. I wonder why the Russians got rid of he 105mm in their latest versions.
  3. I have seen that high wheeled counter-mine US vehicle in ISIS column pics. I suggest adding the Canadian "Nyala" and "gwagon" as they look similar. There also exist black outfits used by some ISIS. You sure they have no BMP2's or 3's? Otherwise is looking good!
  4. I am sure that my walls look a lot better than what I see in the pic. You may want to check your other terrain mods and see if there is interference.
  5. I restarted playing CMSF recently. Am pleasantly surprised that even without the latest CM2 v3.0 triggers, the CMSF scenarios and campaigns that were made in the year or two before CMBN was released (and since then) seem superior and more fun and interesting to play than many of the ones we have gotten with later CM2 releases.
  6. Sand colored mods I have: T-72 + variants M114 gun truck (Humvee) UAZ BMP2 I also have many other NATO nationality vehicles in sand (Brit, Canadian, German, Dutch...) that could pass for the mishmash that is ISIS vehicle inventory - esp Canadian: Nyala, Coyote, gwagon... There's a bunch more mods in the SYROPE and EUROSCAPE full conversion mods, but those are all in brz files and I imagine would be green. I am surprised that there are not default sand colored T-55 and BMP1's etc in the vanilla CMSF. Have you checked those brz files?
  7. If you need me to send you other CMSF mods, let me know. I just sent Saferight a bunch of technical/PU trucks.
  8. We're interested in any new CMSF scenarios. Just didn't have a useful comment is all. It's the view count that's important as it shows that this forum is quite active.
  9. What "should" make CMSF hard is winning while suffering minimal casualties. That's what's so great about some of the best campaigns. You HAVE to practice ammo and equipment conservation while taking minimal, if any, casualties.
  10. "But if that is all you make you are demanding that only people without jobs or lives play CM." Jason, I agree with everything you said. I am NOT advocating that we/BF only produce huge scenarios. I wuz simply trying to point out that us old time CM1 players actually enjoyed the huge scenarios. Yes, they are much more time-consuming in CM2 than in CM1. However, the ability to have operational-level games with a reinforced regiment on each side is what turns us on. We miss the mobility of CM1... armored columns racing from one side of the map to reinforce another side and it took 4-6+ turns to get anywhere. We enjoyed the need (and resources) to have a reinforced mech platoon or even an entire company with armor formations in reserve as a "Fire Brigade". There is nothing wrong with small scenarios and certainly they are much easier to design. So, am sure people who prefer small scenarios will never run out of them. It is a lot more work to produce a huge scenario, and even more daunting to make a campaign that features huge scenarios. In fact, I worry that campaigns themselves appear to have become an "endangered species". They will always be greatly outnumbered by small scenarios. So, you don't ever have to worry.
  11. "Introduce a female face icon for the Russian army in Red Thunder." +1 Someone more versed in history can verify/critique, but other than lone snipers, I think the Russian women were in their own formations, not mixed with the men. (Authoritative research source: Peckinpah's CROSS OF IRON.) I have often asked BF for Red light district Hookers as well. But, maybe not a good role model in this instance. (I also agree that most tanks didn't catch fire or blow up spectacularly like they do in CM2. They just sat there with a hole in them. That's why other tankers would keep shooting at them even when passing by. IIRC some enterprising enemy tankers would just sit there all quiet and KO'd like, and suddenly decide to kill something.)
  12. I am certain that your assessment is correct. Nevertheless, one can confidently predict that those weapons will "get around".
  13. Kieme has created much better walls. (No European-style bricks in the ME. Kieme uses the larger breeze blocks.) At least the walls show up much better in the scenarios I am playing. Those may be Kieme's buildings and windows.
  14. Hey, apparently brilliant minds think alike, and simultaneously. You are brilliant Vanir.
  15. How about Hungary/Budapest... give the Germans some attack campaigns and scenarios where they were relatively successful. Operation Konrad etc. You got urban war, sieges, mobile attacks (for both sides)... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Budapest
  16. This may be it: Ramadi Govt. Center FULL_UPLOAD.btt. Whoever is playing the actual scenario: what is it called as I need to find it in my folder.
  17. It's probably cos many of us are old CM1 hands and we became fans of the huge maps and scenarios that were easily playable in CM1. CM2 with its detail was wonderful, but that intricacy makes CM2 much harder and more time-consuming to play - which also made it a bit of a shock (as in SHOCK FORCE - geddit??) However, the almost operational nature and mobile warfare aspects of the huge CM1 scenarios was great. And that is what many of us would like to see in CM2 (once the tech has caught up and we have some ease of play/ergonomics worked out). B4 someone jumps on me, there is nothing wrong with small intimate scenarios as well.
  18. It simulates shellshock. Actually another good game title: CM:SHELLSHOCK
  19. Looking forward to trying em out. (But now that we have to load up 3 games to do that it takes time... Am imagining what it will be like when we have 5+ versions of CM2.)
  20. Re Ramadi, it depends on what it was called. I actually can't find a scenario file or map called "RELIEF OF JOKER..." I had playtest versions. So, not sure what the released scenario is actually called.
  21. "Pkk and pyd are not going to get german weapons." I imagine they will percolate around...
  22. Yeah, I probably have every CMSF mod ever produced. 6.12GB in my Z folder and 5.6GB in my UNUSED MODS folder.
  23. I dunno if it's gamey, but I noticed that when one adjusts preplanned arty barrages, they arrive quickly and are as accurate as the original pre-planned barrage would have been. So, you can set a preplanned with 15 min delay with the expectation of adjusting it to other locations, once one gets the spotter to have LOS to those locations.
