  1. the score in CMBN as compared to CM1,in giving a result,isnt a fair representation of the battle facts of a particular battle imo comparing a total victory between the two games,say ive had plenty of battles were ive actually taken more losses than my opponent and won a total my latest game has been a real hard even slog,whomever has the strength left to push each other out of the OB will probably achieve a total victory,even though the battle was far more even. in CM1 you can count the scoring as you go,you know you get 100 points for armor kills etc,you can play it like poker somewhat. its already been said a few times,if your comparing it to CM1,your probably doing yourself a diservice,i speak with some experience here:) Salute

  3. Win7 is suspect with screenshots and CMBN and others i get away with it by alt tab first ,restore,then capture,then paste to watever you use for your edits seems to work most times
  4. im at about the 75% mark of the battle,as the Americans the US forces have seized most of the OBs and eliminated 90% of the german forces the initial recon stage was quite close,with only 1 M8 and 1 Stuart surviving these 2 units were able to continue on through the lull and scout all the required locations easily,until german reserves rolled up 2nd phase had the US forces smash the german armor fairly easily at this stage only 1 panther remains and seems to be out of the fight US lost 2 tanks in this battle and another to a schreck team another sherman got bogged crossing the river at this stage of the battle the american forces has overwhelmed the defence without any significient use of the arty and look to be in a unassailable position my opponent is battling on i cant see any reason to change the strength of the US forces,they've got plenty i crossed the far left side forge with a platoon of shermans and a mech inf platoon and ran amock in the enemies rear catching alot of the german forces on the move and out of position,while setting a few firing lanes around the bridges and other areas of interest to catch any german armor trying to reinforce the flank attack certainly some luck has played my way,but ,its certainly looking like a walk in the park for the US

  6. my current game has had it happen again!!!!!!! this is the 3rd attempt to setup an axis attacker v american defender QB each time so far,the defenders forces are placed in the attackers deployment zone driving me insane and wasting alot of gametime poncing about with the QB BFC fix or do sumfink the params for the battle were,(x3) attack med battle size 1 hour map auto map large map type random(although last 2 attempts were village) attacker german force mix human pick map preview on for what its worth
  7. its a bug in the setup zones ive had this happen quite a few times,and as recently as yesterday the QB generator screws up somehow and swaps the attacker/defender zones however,ive also noticed that if you have map preview allowed,it can sometimes show you the oppositions deployment zones,and thus,gives you the false assumption that the zones have swapped,but,upon actual placement phase,the zones are correct mighty confusing and certainly needs addressing from your screen shot i can see the attackers intended deployment area in blue the defender should have a larger area surrounding the objective,meaning that the highlighted area around the OB is highlighted to show the objectives zone,the defender should be able to deploy anywhere around it for some distance with the use of arty in this game,its probably a good idea not to focus the static defence around the OB too much,and elect to use a mobile defence instead,and move into the OB zone once your certain the enemies arty is expended
  8. if your trying to use CM1 style tactics,id suggest that may be a problem forget it and start afresh
  9. its hard enough to get one opponent to send his files promptly,let alone eight players my god man,the horror! the logistics of getting eight players ready to play RT wouldnt exactly be pleasant either.
  10. its happened to me in QBs in the past with random settings applied its also happened that only some of the troops purchased did turn up its also happened that different troops turn up ,rather than the ones i actually chose i remember a purchased pak40 turned up as a pak38 and a StuH turned up as a stug theres certainly something fishy with the random element selection in QBs one of my first battles against Baneman had only half the force i selected appear for the battle,and i was certain it wasnt the force i had chose at the time

Australia has long been protectorate of Antarctica it is in fact a territory http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_Antarctic_Territory and i think you missed my point about the aboriginals maybe something closer to home then take South Australia,my home state,the premier Mike Rann,is an immigrant due to his governments policies over the last 10 years,i could find 1000's of examples of hardship,stress,job losses, you say dont exist 15,000 leaving the state per month for greener pastures is disturbing the bloody Prime Minister is an immigrant,and look how thats going how on earth a country can allow someone not born in the country to become the prime minister of this country in this day and age,is mind boggling what hope do you have for any form of honest government under these circumstances theres plenty more of examples i can show you i could offer the medical situation as another i care not what you believe,but try not to make such blanket statements about the situation,as if it was gospel

  13. First turn barrages should be unavailable in ME QB i make it a point to agree to this with ALL my ME opponents,until its reconsidered as a option in game,or actually removed
  14. i scored a minor victory as the axis in this one in H2H,close call though the trenches are deathtraps so i abandoned them early and took up position in a least expected position basically held the main road,working both sides of the bocage,up to the first tanktrap i managed to inflict heavy losses on the advancing infantry,and the stuarts couldnt really support the infantry without fear of being knocked out at close range apply a bit of stick and move to avoid the inevitable arty barrage my only suggestions would be,regular troops instead of green for axis ability to setup fortifications as you see fit i lose more men in trenches than i do out of them,bloody useless i reckon
  15. this is my experience too Huzzar scenario for example i just put a small pause at the desired waypoint whilst moving through,seems to work ok
  16. ive had this happen a few times for no apparent reason rarely i admit,but it screws up the squad fairly well,becoming tired,i assume they become tired waiting for the bozo to get back in formation:)

  18. i for one salute the players whom take the time to note these observations it is a simulation after all,and the better it can simulate,the better it is for the players. keep up the good work
  19. well,imho,no platoon leader in his right mind is going to order his men to fire small arms at a tiger/panther/med tank at 400m+ in the hopes of pinging off an aerial. the video of them beating back a stug is all well and good,but,was it ordered by the player? there appears to be more than one platoon firing at it,and its also at close range,this i have no problem with.we didnt get to see what happens when the stug actually fired back,the shooting seemed to stop then?ill assume they paid dearly for this minor victory:) now on more than one occasion ive had them firing at a tank and not engaging the more suitable infantry nearby in los/lof they were american troops so maybe thats an excuse:lol infantry are just cannon fodder for my mind. another QB im playing,2x 155mm shells land about 100m or more from the target,which is fine,i get an email back with the next turn,my opponent says those 2 shells killed or wounded %85 of a full company,immobilized a mk4 and 3 HTs. we both thought that was a little overkill,as it appears the shells werent really close enough to the units in question to do that kind of damage now either the visual representation of the shells landing arent actually where the game calculates them,or,they are firing some atomic shells:) i havent used large scale arty before in game,so ,i need to test it abit more before i can say somethings a bit off,for what its worth

  24. its listed in the right hand column total rarity points rarity points arent the actual cost of a unit the unit will cost x amount and have x amount rarity value the system works in such a way as to stop you buying too many rare items,such as tigers or the like looks like this 1000 points to spend on units 500 rarity points to use so let say a sherman 75 costs 200 points and costs 400 rarity leaves you with 800 points to spend but only 100 points rarity left forcing you to buy common units which typically have 0 rarity cost with me? my samples are just examples and not actual costs of the units in game
