  1. You really need to read the StuH42 caption, it's a classic. Do you carpool with your mannequin? Gyrene
  2. It got much worse Mike...Something about how Nazi Germany & it's soldiers were the builders of the one true Europe & that the allies should have joined Hitler in fighting the Russians. Gyrene

  5. LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!! Woooo....I'm glad I read D-Roach's reply on the other thread before I read yours. The comedic timing...The genius! The part that sucks is that I'll not be able to explain to anybody else why that was funny... The shame... Gyrene

  8. It's the Sherman BARV (Beach Armored Recovery Vehicle), it has a winch at the rear and had a diver as a crew member. It was used under fire during the actual landings. Gyrene
  9. The Sherman with no turret and the blocks of wood in front was used to rescue other tanks during amphibious landings. It can wade into some pretty deep water. Gyrene
  10. The jeep with the RR is a M151 MUTT with an 106mm Recoiless Rifle. It was used during Vietnam and is still in the inventory for special circumstances when a Humvee won't do: During Desert Storm we got several Mutts out of mothballs, armed them with TOW missiles and flew them into Kuwait City International in CH53's, 2 mutts at a time. Humvees wont fit in any US helicopter and external loads cut the speed of a helicopter in half. Gyrene

  18. Well, bother, I couldn't make it...I couldn't weasel out of work. Oh well, I'll wait for the release. Gyrene

  21. All you need is a router with a built in switch, NICs for each computer and enough Ethernet cable. Nevermind the coax splicing, hook up the cable modem to the router then all the cpus to the router's switch, then follow the router's manufacturer's instruction on programming your account info into the router and off you go. (A few extra steps there, but it's not that hard) Gyrene
  22. It's the Battle of the Michaels™! Who will emerge triumphant as the board's one true Mike? The winner will be awarded a free dinner date with Fatmouse. Gyrene
