The Good: 1 Panther, 2 PzIV's, 1 Hetzer, 2 or 3 HT's & Loads of Infantry taken out...By a single M8 HMC. The bad Very same M8 gets taken out...By a stray 105mm round from my own spotter, some 600m away from the targeted area. Gyrene

Dan, I thought that the dirt that gets kicked up by bullets and the much cooler ricochet & impact sounds would have been it. The smoke from the muzzle is pretty cool, all the same. Need to work in the blast wave and the dust kick-up when tanks fire into CM2 though Gyrene

Find yourself a group of people you can trust and you will need no set of rules to get in the way of your playing and your fun. There's a lot to be learned and enjoyed from playing an out classed and doomed-to-lose CM side. WWII wasn't about even sides and fairness, it was about doing your best with what you got. If you want even go play chess, in the mean time if you want a balanced setting in which to challenge an unknown opponent then stick with scenarios like the excellent Der Kessel ones. Gyrene
