I gather from some commentary on this forum that because of time restrictions, BTS was unable to release the cd with everything included. I was wondering if I happen to wait for 4 or 5 months (and yes I can do it unlike most of you sorry slobs ) before buying the game, will there be a new version of the cd available that will be complete with all the necessary files? I dislike having to download large patches because right now I'm on 56k and I like to have all the files included on the cd, just in case I happen to want to install it again 3 years down the road and dont have the patch anymore.

I doubt any Canadians will get it until at least Thursday or Friday. (just my own opinion)

Yes I don't believe MP's are very well liked by their brothers-in-arms. Not liked at all in fact. Is it just me or is Sgt. "Glare" wearing jungle boots? ANd on a serious note could you please mark "gift" so that GST isnt included? Or is there no duty? I forget.

I was also shocked when the game came with no box or jewel case. I'm one of those people who loves to look at a pretty box I guess. As for the jewel case, I just went and through away one of my sister's useless cd's and then printed up a cover that someone from the CMBO commmunity made up especialy for that purpose and slipped it in the jewel case.

You people all sicken me!! FOr god's sake the least you could do is at least officially apply at BTS before you go around acting like those annoying sales people!

Aha, that makes a helluva lot of sense. That way, people used to the old-hat CMBO way can still do things their way, and you can take advantage of the side to side motion if you just move the mouse cursor up. Seriously, I do think the WASD approach might not be bad either... How about figuring out a way to use the scroll wheel as well? ianc</font>

Reason why I should get CMBB for free: ~I'm too cheap to pay for it.

I like CM as much as the next person, but I would like to think that I won't require 3 copies of the game. I'm sure the boys at Battlefront would be just fine if everyone bought just one copy (not that they would admit that while they still have breath left in them)

It's all about demographics. The fact of the matter is that CMBO (and in the future CMBB) is played mostly by...(how can I say this nicely?) middle-aged players who have a good income and who are commmited to playing practically this game and no other. I suppose that there is also a maturity level and a certain amount of honesty that comes in that makes them by the game rather than acquire it by "shady" means In contrast, I'd say that games like QuakeIII, etc are played mainly by a younger generation, who have smaller incomes and who have enough internet savvy to know where to get games for free. This, I argue, is the reason why CMBO and CMBB have done so well. They may not have the largest gaming audience, but they do have one of the largest dedicated audiences who are willing to pay for a good game. Where probably 99% of people play CMBO with a legitimate copy of the game I'd say probably closer to 50% of Quakers legitimately own the game.
