Hey your site is down!! How typically Canadian-I love it!! -
Hi guys I'm having a little trouble with the modmanager. First of all I'm not sure what version I'm supposed to put in for my CD. I have the newest version and I have the 1.12 patch so do I put in 1.12? or is the version of the cd still 1.1 maybe? Second of all when I try to copy the core files it takes forever and I end up with a zip file 40 megs big-yet isnt this supposed to take more than 200 megs? and it never seemed to stop copying either-the cd seemed to stop spinnning yet I had the icon (sandclock or whatever) which suggested that it was still doing something. Then when I tried to quit I got somekind of error pop up saying something like "List not found (-1) or something like that. So I had to ctrl-alt-del just to close the program. Could someone help me with this? Also, what happens when I have conflicting mods installed? I'm thinking of the MDMP and then I try to install something else that is already in the pack-what happens then? Thanks in advance guys!

Turning those preview thumbnails in Explorer OFF
Canuck replied to Old Dog's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
so your saying is that what your thumbnails all come up at once? I was about to format because for some reason I couldnt view my thumbnails as a webpage anymore and I needed to be able to see all my asian chicas!! hehe Anyways, me and a friend mucked around in regedit and fixed it-you could maybe do the opposite. What you could do as a stopgap measure is switch to View as Webpage perhaps? That way you should only get one picture at a time -
CM jumps again in charts - have you voted?
Canuck replied to Scott Adams's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
Haha this is hilarious! What power one forum has! From now on whenever I see a poll with CM in it I will realize that it has been totally skewed by this forum!! -

Poll: Newcomers, where do you get to know CM?
Canuck replied to GriffinCheng+'s topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
I read Trotter's column about it in PC Gamer...and then....I either read the review in PC Gamer and then downloaded the demo or I just downloaded the demo and then saw the review. Either way it just didnt seem to do it for me and I ended up uninstalling it. And then 4 months later, out of the blue I decided to download it again and I felt I had a better grasp of what was going on and I loved it! -
Has anyone seen pics like this before? I was browsing the web and came up with this. The artist has many more but I think this is the only one with the background. CLICK HERE FOR MORE TANKS [This message has been edited by Canuck (edited 03-08-2001).]

Don't know if anyone has posted about this before. I think it would add a very interesting twist to the game. Certainly it's not applicable to CM because European (west) were all fairly small in size and limited to usually sabatoge at most. I think I'm correct when I say that by the end of 1942 the Russian partisans numbered 130,000 and most individual groups were in the range of 350-2000 in size. This is certainly within the scope of CM's battles. Perhaps they could be used in quick raid missions or something. Any suggestions?

I'm a woman who likes to blow up tanks!!!
Canuck replied to mimary's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
I was playing my friend PBEM on that one map on the demo before I bought the game. I had no idea that buildings were blowup-able. He had about 4 rifle squads in there and I thought I was just shooting at THEM with my tanks and then the whole church went up like a little atomic bomb and I almost jizzed myself!!! -
Just wondering, could u guys post the original version as well as your mod? I'm kind of new at the game so it's hard for me to say "oh yeah that's way better!" when I can't even say that I've seen one yet. I think it's the Outpost maybe that posts original pics and then the improved pics on their site?? Anyways I just think it's really helpful in allowing me to compare which is better

Thought I'd make this public so it's made clear

This thread is a little too Grog-y for me -
ROFL!! Usually when me and my friend play we message each other over ICQ (usually using some nonsensical radio talk, hehe but that's another matter) and not by making a new thread to communicate

LOL these guys are hilarious

Canuck replied to Canuck's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)

If you live in the states it should only take 5 days or so. Maybe 10 if you live in Canada.
