I'm making an operation involving the Algonquin regiment and attached units at the Battle for Welberg between Oct 31 and Nov 4 1944 in the scheldt area. My main source of info is Warpath written by G.L. Cassidy, an excellent book that has allowed me to give historically accurate names right down to squad leaders and PIAT teams, however the maps have no major terrain details, just roads and buildings. Does anyone know where I can find a map of the battle area? I've tried a search to no avail.

I think the graphics acceleration may lower the graphics to improve the performance. Since turning it off other games that I play have had an improved visual quality. I sure hope it works for everyone else, it certainly worked for me.

Some mac users experiance downsampling. For those of you with a radeon card I have a solution! Beside the finder pulldown menu you should have and ATi menu, if not you will have to activate it by holding option-c during your next restart. Once you have this meny activating you will see the Graphics Acceleration bar checked off. Just scroll down, select it and it will uncheck. Start CMAK and voila! No more downsampling. It's as simple as that.

I've been looking through my Uncle's photos from the war. He was a Sgt with the 48th Highlanders in Italy. I noticed that most of the submachine guns in use where not Stens, but rather Thompsons. I've looked through various books and also seen many Canadians with the Thompson rather than a Sten. Was it really that common for Canadians to carry the Thompson rather than a Sten? Or is it just that they where never near the camera man? *Waits for Dorosh*
