I didn't post in the last thread on this topic so I shall here. It was about a year ago I guess, I was checking out all the Steel Panthers stuff Wild Bill and his Boys were doing. I'd read an article in PC gamer or CGW about them doing a revision of SP WWII. I came across a link that lead me to Battle Front. I downloaded the demo, I guess an early beta test? and tried it for a while. I thought hmm interesting and that was it. It didn't do much for me then. Last month I went searching for some games for my brother and I came across BattleFront again. I started reading and looking, digging here and there and flipping the hell out! It really got me the second time around. I joined this forum sold most of my PC Games to buy CM and have been enamored and spreading the word ever since. My brother BTW can barely stand to talk to me any more. 'Cause all I talk about is CM. Very very soon that will be all he talks about. Mord. Ok I have a ton of books. I own atleast 400 but I am sadly lacking in WWII reading material. The only stuff I have on this subject is "what if" sf fiction. Up until now my WWII interests were only surface depth sadly enough. But since CM they have exploded.(Another great quality about this game, makes you want to learn more) So what I need from you guys is a list of First Person WWII Books. I have seen other book lists but all that I want is the best Auto or Biographical accounts of the war. I am not looking for any overview of the war or tacticle studies or anything of that nature. Theater doesn't matter.Right now I am mostly intereted in West, East and Pacific but any will do. I want in your face, blood pumping, grit between my teeth, infantry action. Some fiction would be welcome. As long as it is written well. It doesn't necessarily have to be in the FP. I am also becomming very interested in Huertgen Forest fighting any cool books on that with the above criteria applied would be appreciated. So everybody please help Mord feed his brain. Everybody here that keeps claiming they heard such and such about so and so and these ballots were taken and so on. You are really falling into man. The news has already made three mistakes so far in the papers and on TV that I know of. These are the people you think have the professionalism to give you an unbiased view point of it all and they are not doing a very good job. So just wait and see 'cause whatever you hear next may not be the truth. In a few days we'll know for sure. Mord.

Ok I know it's only been a week since I ordered the game. And I know alot of people here waited a long time when they ordered theirs. I just want a guesstimation of about how much longer it will be till I see that beautiful package in my mail box. I'm trying to be patient really I am. But I am going crazy with anticipation! Thanks. As of The November issues of both PCGamer and CGW go, I have not seen one tiny complaint about Combat Mission in the reviews or letters sections. I Have all the issues for the last two years or so laying around so I know this for a fact. If anything at all was said that was derogatory towards CM it has to be in the December issues of each.
