  1. Hi all!! I've got a problem!!! I use a 56k modem that cuts off after 2 hours so I can't download the humungous CMBB patch. Is there anyone in the UK with it willing to burn to CD for me and post it to me??? I'd be very grateful indeed...
  2. Just had this minute flash of inspiration! Why not have a covering fire arc command so support units such as mgs etc dont just aim at one place but try to spray fire across the area that the player tells them too. THis would be especially useful for covering troops crossing streets etc, because at the moment you can only tell a unit to fire at a specific point! What do you think?
  3. Yeah that makes sense Bullethead, but Im talking about firing on a zeroed, identified tarket at around 400-700 meters. Ive seen this happen several times. If I was a commander, having harmlessly hit the (identified) target several times and now receiving incoming fire from the target, I would immediately load up one of my precious tungsten rounds. In these situations the instinct is to knock out the enemy, not to save precious tungsten for later. Instead Ive seen my tank commanders firing round after round of AP, which usually disintegrates or richochets until my tanks are destroyed! Any other comments?
  4. I know this was a problem in CMBO but Ive played many battles now in CMBB when Ive had a PzIII or similar come up against a T34 or worse, a KV1. The PZIII will start firing AP as it brackets the target which makes sense. But then after several hits on target, with both vehicles stationary, it continues to unload AP until it is eventually destroyed. Wouldn't the PzIII change to Tungsten, if it had any, after one or two connecting shots???? It's really frustrating seeing my tanks, that have the ability to knock out an enemy T34 etc. get wasted because they dont use their Tungsten!!! Anyone else got any comments on this??? [ October 25, 2002, 05:16 AM: Message edited by: Lordfluffers ]
  5. Shouldn't that be (totally spelt tottally.. ?????
  6. Well I ordered mine from Wireplay.com, if anyone recieves their copy form Wireplay let me know!!!
  7. Thats what makes me really mad  If it was BTS or another publisher, I'm sure they would have at least acknowledged the problems and explained the delay. I am really angry at CDV's noticeable absence from this board and their lack of courtesy and respect for CM's fans. I wonder if they'll end up going the way of Cryo if they're not careful.
  8. Bollocks! If we get the sanitised version is there no way BTS can arrange for us to order direct or is it part of the contract that CDV has sole retail rights to Europe?
  9. Just wondering whether the ahistorical issues concerning SS, swastikas and other issues that have surfaced in the German CMBB will also be in the UK's CMBB> I am aware that in Germany there are laws prohibiting the display and use of such things and so games such as Wolfenstein etc couldnt show Nazi symbols. But as CDV are responsible for the UK's CMBB will they let us have untainted or will we have to put up with thisstupid Waffen Grenadier instead SS stuff???
  10. Please BTS say it isn't so  Just checked the UK 'Game' website and their projected release date for CMBB says 11/10/2002. If that is the case, Im gonna give CDV a pounding, cheeky little *"#*@#%'s that they are. Don't they know I'm counting the minutes Anyway SORT THEM OUT BTS!!
  11. Cheers Moon, until I find on some gamer mag cover Im justr gonna have to sity tight!
