  1. I'd personally like to see someone HiRes Tiger's Rough mod. It blends perfectly into the surounding enviorment and looks very natural. It just needs to be updated to fit in with all the new terrain that has been released. I have used it since I down loaded it. Mord
  2. It's pure and unadulterated ART! My Mod Slutty heart has taken wing! Beautiful. Mord
  3. Which one do you have Colonel Deadmarsh? I have four different kinds. all are nice, but I personally like Kwazy Dogs Hires version the most. Mord. [ 05-24-2001: Message edited by: Mord ]
  4. We had a beautiful thread going a while back that I am assuming was lost in the big crash the other day. So how about we restart it? Mod Requests: A Thread about Mods, Modders and the Sluts That Loves Them So. So place all requests here and lets get this bad boy goin' again! [ 05-24-2001: Message edited by: Mord ]
  5. No rumor Panzerleader. I read and mentally burned that statement into my brain. But alas the thread was lost along with the many others. Steve said it though. Mord
  6. Sounds great Max you guys really did an excellent job tuning up the trucks, even though they don't do much in the game they look Damn Sweet doing it! When you do the winter versions I hope you guys will have just an option snow covered truck without any kinda camo. the Allied vehicles look best to me in a natural snowy state. Mord
  7. Steve also stated that the new engine write up will start immediately after CM2 is released. Mord
  8. The Tiger mod is part of the MDMP from CMHQ I believe. Mord
  9. Jak that mod was done already though I don't think it resides any where that you can download it. It's one of the few that I don't have or I would try to send it. The MDMP on Matt's site has some SPR samples in them, richochets, some fighting sounds and Corporal Upum screaming at the Germans to surrender. That is a start. Mord.
  10. My purchasing of Computer games went waaaay down since buying CM. I use to grab stuff off the shelves like a mad man. having so many varied interests makes it hard to concentrate on just one thing....until Combat Mission that is. I have purchased a few games since CM but most are old titles. The VERY few new games I did try went back within a day. Bruno brought up a good point that I hope the rest of the Computer Industry would take to heart. BTS's Manifesto should be on the walls of every software company out there. Around the water tank, in the hallways, and plastered on the inside of the bathroom stalls. Quit peddling crap to the lowest common denominator of Walmart Bargain Buyers and put some real game play back into games regardless of the generes. Make some decent games. If you are making a game about Vietnamese Oxcart Racing make it the best damn simulation of an ox cart race ever seen by man. I have been spending alot of time on classic game sites lately and am amazed to the cockles of my little gaming heart at how much game play these guys put into these titles when RAM and Harddrives were just the kilobyte induced wet dreams, of Dorito munchin' geeks who hadn't seen the sun for three years. Hours upon hours of virtual bliss, at times under a meg of space! It seems to me that over the years the game has gone out of gaming and been replaced by the fast buck. ....Until Combat Mission that is. Mord. [ 05-08-2001: Message edited by: Mord ]
  11. LOL! My brother did this very thing with the first scenario he made. He had a ton of paratroops from all three nationalities and they were all like elite or maybe crack experience. He gave them about a million tanks and some 14 inch navel guns! It was really funny 'cause I know exactly what was going through his head. He just plopped his ass down in the big virtual sandbox and opened up a brand new Marx WWII play set. He had so many forces in that scenario I had to eventually stop playing cause my comp bogged down quicker than a Pershing in a buffalo wallow. I think alot of first time scenario designers get carried away with all of the toys that are at hand and forget the little details such as troop experience and the little and big historical nuances that go into the making of them. Most will eventually learn. And maybe some won't but they'll be smilin' from ear to ear just the same. 'Cause this is the best damn set of toy soldiers we've ever been lucky enough to play with. Mord.
  12. Excellent News Tom I Have been waiting for that. I actually did one for the Blue Devils using DD's unis but that is as far as I made it. PawBroon and Max I remember seeing this Mod now and just may have downloaded it. I have soooo many mods now, over 800 Megs, it's hard to keep track of what is what. I may have lost it in the shuffle. I'm gonna check. Great job on the Trucks Max and Klink. And I am happy to hear the Diamler is getting modded up again Pawbroon. I'd like to take this time and thank all the modsters out there on all their efforts in making this game really come alive. You guys as well as the scenario jockies keep a great game going strong. It seems we have specialists in every modding avenue that CM offers. How many games can boast of that. BTS and the Boys should be very proud! BTW if anybody hasn't downloaded the new death screams from Scipio Base GET THEM!! I highly recommend it. These files add alot to the sound submersion of CM. .......ok enough gushing Mord. 13. I don't think I've ever actually read a Peng thread but I don't see what the big deal is about it being here. It's kind of a tradition on the board and I don't see where it harms anything nor anybody. If your not into what they do in there don't read the thread. The Cess Poolers are as much a part of this BB as threads like "The Trajectory on the UberwaffenbuttsnorkleIV is off by 2 degrees!!!" We have lots of different threads in lots of different flavors read what interests you and forget the rest and just be happy. Mord
  14. Daimler and Humbar definately need a "Jenny Makeover"! Mord
  15. Your welcome Morten! sorry I could'nt be of more help. Good luck. Mord
  16. Or maybe this http://www.angelfire.com/games3/CMCP/ Click on FILES. [ 05-04-2001: Message edited by: Mord ]

  18. Commisar those are DD's Summer uniforms they can be found at CMHQ. Nice work on the truck guys looks much better than what I was using. Can't wait! Mord
  19. Ahh a topic that I can really indulge in! Allied AA guns, Allied truck and the wasp. Mord. Oh and a Field Grau of the Waffen SS uni would be cool. Hires of course. I have one but it doesn't match the DD Unis I use. Hint Hint DD. [ 05-04-2001: Message edited by: Mord ]
  20. Gen X I have a CD burner and I just burned a copy onto a blank CD. I use this instead of my original so if it gets beat up I don't have to worry. I also made a copy of all the mods for the game so if I wipe my hard drive I will always have them. Mord
  21. I received a CD Burner for my birthday back in January and the first thing I did was make a copy of CM and all the mods I have. I don't use the original disc any more just because I am afraid that it will be ruined. It is nice to have that protection and lack of worry. It seems no matter how careful one is a cd will still end up with little scratches and the like from constant use. I hope you solve your dilemma my friend. Mord
  22. Hell yes! We are really seeing some of the lesser vehicles getting the All Star Treatment lately. Great work fellas! Mord.
  23. Try one of those CD repair kits they have on the market that are supposed to fix scratches and what not. I don't know how well they work but it is atleast a cheaper alternative than ordering a new CM disc. Mord.
