  1. Automatic pistols are - well - automatic. At short range they are just better than bolt action rifles. 8 shots, 1 throw. Now, the general accuracy of snipers in CMx2 is a different matter. But the sub-50m range is probably not at the core of it.
  2. Well, now they have a new area of interest, and that is a land path to Crimea. Also keep the water crisis in Crimea into account.
  3. They are scared away by heavy AA.
  4. What's the version number of the working driver?
  5. You people need to stop buying Shilkas in WW2...
  6. Oh forgot an important one: 6) for challenges listed, while there is a decent amount of info available about the proposed battle: - it doesn't say which side you will play if you pick it up - it doesn't mention which forces have been selected (SS, airborne etc.)
  7. Thanks @BFCElvis. Overall, the communication (or lack thereof) is most annoying. Reports popped up in the official discord (which Matrix runs) and the Matrix forums. But so far there is no Matrix person who has ever participated in discussions. The bug list I have above should have been communicated to Matrix directly, but there is no communications endpoint for users. Thanks for stepping up.
  8. 1) only one side can see the end screen. The game is terminated one file too early. 2) frequent hangs or other conditions from which a game cannot be resumed, the game is lost. This could be fixed by leaving the PBEM files on the user's disk (they are already there, just don't delete them when done with a turn). 3) there was a phase where people using 1.03 were rejected from playing, PBEM++ saying they need 1.03. This was obviously a code update gone wrong server-side, then silently fixed. It should be communicated when the server side code gets updated, and it should be communicated when a problem is fixed. 4) cases of server down or otherwise not answering for users. There obviously is no monitoring of server status done by Matrix. 5) at least one case of a game disappearing before being finished. Also, the timeline when idle games are deleted is not communicated. Not a bug, but it is annoying that the Matrix password is neither remembered nor does it support copy and paste. This forces the users into trivial passwords, which then in turn apply to their entire Matrixgames account, including game serials.
  9. This buildup seems to have a lot of logistics units (aka trucks), sustain-enabling material you don't need on exercises, and now the blood banks. Very expensive if you don't plan to use it. I rate the chance of an actual attack as quite high by the standards of such crisis.
  10. Before Matrix can fix anything they need to collect data. I haven't seen a Matrix person picking up responsibility for the code and/or engage with the community about PBEM++ on any comms channel.
  11. That really sounds like no TPM/TTP turned on.
  12. Seems very arbitrary then. That CPU is not lacking anything feature-wise as far as Intel's specsheet is concerned.
  13. Check whether your TPM is turned on in the BIOS. Sometimes called TTP in the BIOS.
  14. Say, have you ever posted anything useful? Or comprehensible for that matter? Why are you even here?
  15. Legal issues aside - Apple wouldn't allow Facebook to use the microphone outside user preferences. They aren't friends and Apple controls the microphone. What you see there can be explained by proximity. It noticed you had lunch with these people based on location and time in that location. Now it spams things to person B that person A had previously interacted with, because it figures that might have been a topic in the conversation.
  16. Absolutely not. Breakthrough tanks, or heavy tanks, have strong side and rear armor. Medium tanks only have a strong shield to the front and thin armor everywhere else. Specifically, Tigers have 80-82mm side armor, Panther has 40mm (which is quite good for a medium tank).
  17. No, because of crew ergonomics. The T-34-85 would be a different matter, but that is also a development effort in 1941-1942. There also is the diesel issue. The German supply capabilities shuffled gasoline. I don't know how easy that would be to change to a dual system.
  18. Yeah, but the topic here is what would be the best AFV strategy to jump on in 1941-1942 with the knowledge available (or allowed) at the time. The tank designers aren't told "we are screwed already, but make a nice tank now".
  19. The Pz IV never was that great. The suspension is substantially worse than the Pz III and the turret ring couldn't hold reasonable amounts of turret armor.
  20. The newest Radeon driver has been reported as fine again, but who knows what this laptop manufacturer currently delivers.
  21. I assume you are trying to download the installer? Download it from your BFC user account, in the orders. The order has an up-to-date link.
  22. There was a bad version of the ATI/AMD graphics drivers causing this.
  23. That sucker has a few tungsten rounds. Not really a surprise.
