Crew Crash I did a little research. I started up the tutorial and ran the T-34s around until one was knocked out. I was able to select the crew with no problem including reloading a saved game file. I have to go to bed now. Yes I know, how could I on this night of all nights?
-
Madmatt: Scrolling does the same thing when a crew is reached, lock up. Yes, they are bailed crews, one is a "dead body" graphic, the other appears to have "live" crew members. E-mail on the way.
-
One additional piece of information on the "crew crash". The game locks up as soon as I click so the unit info never shows up at the bottom of the screen. FWIW

I just came across a possible bug. Playing "Citadel Schwerpunkt" as germans against AI. When I try to click on any tank crews the game freezes and I have to ctrl-alt-del or esc to exit the game. If I ctrl-alt-del I get an "unhandled error exception" message. This happened with both a dead crew and one with survivors. Running WinXP Home.

Ultimate soldier Toys has anybody had a look at them?
Pine59 replied to Lipperd98's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
They are nice but I have to second what Michael said. That 1/6 scale M5, what was I thinking?? If I had saved all the money I spent on 21st Century and Dragon stuff I could have bought one of those Russian made R/C Tigers! -
Music for CMBB title sequence?
Pine59 replied to Michael Dorosh's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Michael or anyone, do you know the name of the other song that is mixed in with "Little John" in the COI intro? Sounds like a march but I've never been able to identify it. Interestingly enough, my daughter has a toy steering wheel that in addition to horn sounds, ignition sounds and a siren also plays "Hanschen Klein". Strange -
Percentage of German Tank Camouflage?
Pine59 replied to Wally's World's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Well, since you have read the other thread, you know this topic stirs up considerable debate. I think the panzer gray mods look great but as long as we are still in CMBO time I guess I am in the anti-gray camp. Personally, I have yet to see a late war photo that unequivically has panzer gray as the primary color. Leaving that aside, almost from the beginning of the standard use of dark yellow, some units received supplies of brown and green to apply themselves. I don't believe "factory applied" camo became common until later but I could be wrong. By mid-44 it seems like mono, bi, and tricolor schemes existed across the board. As you may know "ambush" refers to a specific factory applied tricolor with contrasting "spots" pattern that was used from Oct 44 until early Jan 45. After that, the usual base color was red-brown primer with green and yellow camo applied if available. The last "official" color scheme was solid dark green but few if any production vehicles came out with it. One of my books actually references an order prohibiting the use of panzer gray on new vehicles but I haven't been able to find it. Two cents (or less) -
Very nice, tell us where we can get it!

#4, use it for every mod its available for.

I think that's right and I think it was CoolColJ who was active in modding the demo. There was some controversy about that. After the game came out it seemed like some of the first attempts were at whitewashed winter vehicles and the MadDog Mod 1.

Thanks I-man, I hadn't thought to check that but they are both there in the Ruleset300 folder. Still no luck.

I have been using CMMOS v3.0 with no problems. But I just installed the CMMOS compliant version of Panzertruppen's buildings and the icons for them remain disabled in the selection screen. I can select Magua's Normandy and Tanks a Lot's buildings just fine. The bmps with the _pzt extension are there in my BMP folder. Any ideas? Thanks

CMHQ: There are Updates, and then there are UPDATES
Pine59 replied to Manx's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
Incredible job by all. One question. I just downloaded Makjager's new Jagdpanther but realized there wasn't a ruleset for it. When I went back to CMHQ it appeared the mod had been removed from the list. Is there a problem with it or just missing a ruleset? Thanks -
Bump Have you posted the hi-res version anywhere yet? Great job!
-
I can see them. They seem to stall and refreshing the page several times seemed to help. They both look great! I always liked KwazyDog's Jagdtiger but hardly ever get to use it. The King Tiger is a different story. So someone host it!!

Will Luftwaffe ground troops be included .

I wondered about Leningrad too. Also Talinnen (sp?) on the Baltic. Also on the Black Sea there was a prolonged battle for Novorossiysk that appears to have involved Soviet Marine troops. Back on topic, based on numbers of troops it would certainly seem reasonable to have Luftwaffe Field Division Troops but the CM engine may limit that to some type of mod by a 3rd party. I guess you could make the same argument for Axis allies such as Italian, Rumanian, Hungarian, and the Spanish Blue Division. -

I'm good for $20. That is of course assuming I get the coffee mug or the "CMBO Mods Greatest Hits CD" -
Viceroy, I think the problem is that the Ruleset 901 zip does not create a folder when unzipped. I manually created a folder called "RuleSet901" in the CMMOS folder and then unzipped the files into the new folder and it works fine. I think if you just unzip to the CMMOS folder it just dumps the files in the main folder and doesn't create a new RuleSet folder on its own. The exe must look for those folders. Hope that helps.

CoolColJ's Lynx is available here: Toms CMHQ If that site doesn't play nice with Opera I can try e-mailing it to you. It is 700K.
