  2. sorry, although a major branch of the armed forces, the hamstergruppen had no need for volunteers and thus no propaganda posters are available. sent emails to out just now! if you didn't receive, let me know.
  3. too many cool russian ones, plus i like their side better than the germans & friends
  4. i sent emails out! let me know if i missed you. you guys did not provide an email in your post or your profile. (tsk, tsk, tsk) gunnergoz tracer (not sure if you want or not ) send me an email and i'll send you the zip.... russellmz@hotmail.com i appear to add depth to 2d posters? i AM good. thanks for the compliments (and the feedback). i might try and offset and overlap some of the posters. that may also solve the problem where i am having trouble making the borders line up nicely and evenly compared to the buttons. and the non-proportional shapes of the posters. if you want more images of russian poster check out google.com and type in "russian world war ii posters". takes a while but you get lots of links to some great poster sites in the first few hundred results. also try and replace russian with soviet. although these are the best of the bunch i found a couple dozen other nice ones. i only got interested in old posters a week ago. 5. (would like to thank that forum member that gave me the idea for using propaganda posters. i even used the example poster he gave in the upper right)
  6. try http://www.combatmission.com/mods/germansupport.asp
  7. lol yeah. i know we trust bfc but we should still read those warnings that get put up
  8. suggested guidelines: -no new units/terrain/features/STUFF that aren't in the demo:sewer movement, reinforcements etc -similar sized map(s) to the two non-tuturial scenarios (most people think the tutorial is fine i think) -show off new changes from cmbo as much as possible
  9. oh screw 20m.com! sorry about that guys, i'll try and find another place for it. edit----------------------- stoffel: when i deleted my history, cached files, and cookies so it did not know i was the website owner i could download it without a FORBIDDEN message popping up. when i had my Proximatron proxy ad blocker on the site blocked me. but i did not get a ask for password message. can you tell me if there is anything you did that caused that? special browser, virus/ad blocker, firewall, etc? 11. it was pretty clear he was just kidding you , since your system basically towers over the min and even the recommened specs i think.
  12. for all the interface bmps it will probably take a while. i did some just replacing the font and status/experience labels with the ones from deanco's original mod and it took me a few hours cause i was obsessively lining them up.
  13. i THINK the "what's new with cmbb" page at battlefront.com also mentions something about alt-shift making esc work again...
  14. i think deanco did an good job as well. the main adjustment problems are that the labels are smaller than usual for cm. so i just took labels from deanco's excellent interface mods for cmbo and it gives info as quickly. (except fitness and tiredness since the labels are nonexistent or different for cmbb). [ September 04, 2002, 01:18 AM: Message edited by: russellmz ]
  15. don't you know the internet was designed precisely for people to trade endless bitching and pornography?
  16. ok, so when i put down a waypoint and then select another movement type to do, like "run", BEFORE i set down another waypoint i may change my mind. so i hit backspace to get rid of the movement command. but it doesn't do anything! i have to place the waypoint down before i can use backspace to cancel, unlike in cmbo where backspace gets rid of the command before or after i place a waypoint. there, my nitpicky cmbb complaint.
  17. i am d/l on 56k now. you'll be playing before me.
  18. 7hrs and 37 min to go...oh wait, my posting added another ten hours. doh!
  19. too bad the lt. herrick who actually said "if i have to die, i'm glad I could die for my country" in real life as he died didn't have time to come up with a better line. (we were soldiers once...and young, p116-7) and you might have appreciated this deleted scene that the director said was based on a true incident: one officer in a hole is hit by NVA mortar shell. a soldier gets into the hole with him and tries to help him. a nva rushing by shoots at the soldier who falls down, hit in the arm. the nva runs off without bothering to confirm the kill. the officer and the soldier(both very much alive) take a moment to access their wounds. then the soldier looks to the officer and says, "tell my wife i love her." the officer stares at the soldier for a moment then screams, "can't you see i'm hit worse than you are, you dumb son of a bitch!?" of course they both start laughing after this. i guess they shoulda tried filming in vietnam...might have made for a few real life and realistic fight scenes? sorta, they had (and showed) more than two choppers but not enough to get everyone in at once, as they mentioned before the first helicopter dropoffs. ??? a lot of no name and minor character soldiers did a lot of killing... in the dvd extras i remember some b&w news footage of moore being interviewed after the battle, on the field i believe. moore said something to the effect that the american soldier was the finest in the world and then teared up on camera. at least it wasn't 50 ft long like in pearl harbor and saving private ryan seriously though, i thought the fact they used that tiny tattered flag was very powerful. i thought it showed them as enemies not to underestimate. i don't knwo.
