there a few wymyn around (one even did a game mod for the king tiger) if you like some east front russian action (and some germans, hungarians, romanians, italians, etc) then cmbb is it. if you like the more familiar west front with its us, poles, french, canadian, brits, and germans then cmbo is the one. if either one suits your fancy then if you want a more advanced one get cmbb unless you want to play now. the us postal system is used to deliver so if you are in the continental us you should have the game in a few days to a week. overseas is longer.

Gotta jump in here. If you don't have enough firepower at the VL to persuade ragtag outfits like this to turn and run the other way, units which at this point of the game are easily routed, then you did NOT have control of the flag to begin with. Face it, a few squads would turn this rabble back in a heartbeat. Back in the day, when I was new, I'd bitch about flag rushes. Now I just face the fact that, if I let someone rush it, I didn't control it to begin with. I'd say less than 5% of my games has a flag rush ever been an issue, and I play only QBs.</font>

check out the cmbb faq, i am pretty sure it was official that if there was still a major fight going around a flag that the computer would not end the game.

study the holy scriptures handed down by the bfc ones in the cmbb faq: they plan to make lower level units have the "human wave" command where morale stiffens to a point. higher level units will probably use the "assault" command in its place.

i'm not very well versed in pacific war tactics, but they japanese seemed to do fairly well at the beginning, only to drop in skill steadily as the movie progressed(like most war movie bad guys). the parts where they were fighting well were pretty good: japs popping out of the brush a few feet from some marines and jabbing them, actual attempts to flank, and use of grenades etc. towards the end though there was some silly stuff done by the japanese: the "attack a soldier from behind but scream the whole time so he hears you and turns around and kills you" type of thing. overall i liked the movie.

i once managed to hold on till nov(comp exp at default, dfficulty at max). i stripped the brits of an army and built more airfleets. i had the low countries surviving army defend paris. i moved as many fleets as possible into the channel to bombard any germans on the coast of france. any tips to holding it longer?
