Ok, I'm going. Hope it's new's about a new mod.

I once dropped shells on my own men. There was 3 or 4 squads, a company I guess, waiting in brush, they had just stormed the area routing out some troops that were there. Well, as I often do I got busy paying attention to something else and forgot I had targeted that area earlier. Well, at first I thought what the hell then realized what had happened. I laughted my butt off. I wiped damn near all of them out, a whole company! They still won't talk to me to this day. God it was funny. Stupid too but funny. We do have fun don't we.

Outstanding post. I laughed my butt off. Wife thinks I'm nuts, but she didn;t read it. Thank you. What a hoot! As far as gamey, I being new actually prefer both ways. I mean I am learning to play the game and am willing to try both to see which I like best, but I can see people getting upset if the other doesn't play the way he was looking forward to. My simple answer would be to set rules up before hand. I will probably go the non-gamey way myself, but until then I'm buying everything and anything to find out what's best to win. I am at this point in doubt however if buying big makes you the winner. I will see. The one thing that does bother me however is the fact that there are those out there that know what type of units to buy to win. I was hoping that this game was more perfect than that. It's beginning to look like just another game you can perfect and always be the winner. I don't always want to win. That would take the fun out of it for me, well, at least not every time.

Can you imagine what the other guy would think when he saw one of his country's tanks with the enemies marking on it. And I wonder how close that tank could get to the enemy before being noticed. Man, I bet there are some stories about that. Cool picutes.

Damn, they are beauiful. Yeah, Tiger's the man! If only he would quit his job so he could devote all his time to making mods. Oh, well I guess one needs money. Let me go do some downloading.

Ok, I know I should read up or research or whatever but I haven't a clue where you do any of these things so I'll just post here hoping not to upset anyone. How do you create or put a smiley face on your questions/answers. I don't see an option anywhere and would like to use these icons. It really helps a person express his feelings which I think is important when talking on a forum. Can anybody answer. Thanking you in advance.

Thanks for the instructions on setting up the mod manager. I think I will try it. I like the idea of being able to organize the mods plus maybe I'll learn more about windows by just playing around with it. But I do appreciate your answer and time.

Sorry that I can't ( don't know how ) to just allow you to click on the web site like alot of others guys do but I will give you the sites so you can have a look. Try www.afv-uk.net/cmoutpost and www.combat-missions.net and angelfire.com-ns-mocm-index.html, that should keep you busy for awhile. As far as an updated list, there isn't a list as such. The different sites kind of all fend for themselves and update pretty regularly, you just have to check them every so often to see what's been added.

Well, I'm no expert and I hate people always making like of another person's questions or problems, but on this one I think I can answer why they don't shoot at each other. Can you imagine what would happen if either one of them would fire their weapons. I don't know who would get hurt worst. The guy he was shooting at or him. That back blast would do the shooter in. Now, they should have pistols however. They sure do in real life. I was playing a game just the other day when my bazooka team ran across a HQ unit. He was about 5 -10 yards away in woods or brush and blasted the crap out of them. It was so cool. I think, not sure that the HQ was low on men, however so that could explain how they beat ( killed ) them.

I use both the tri and Bi-colors. 250's are the Bi - I think? I personally just like to see different vehicles with different colors.

OK, sounds like I'll stick to what I know. Thanks for the info. One less thing I have to worry about.

OK. I see some of you actually knew what you were talking about and apparently some of you didn't. Now, thank those of you that knew and were so kind as to reply. You others should try reading up on a subject in the future before answering a serious question because I almost was thinking that and would have told someone else some day that the Tiger II was a concrete tank with a wooden gun that the Russia's built for Hitler. King Tiger how about that.

Anybody know or have any knownledge about this tiger tank. I've never heard of it and am really interested in getting even a little info about it.

I get my mods the old fashion way meaning I download them and place them in the folders myself. What I'm interested in, is using the mod manager a earier, better way? I was going to just try it myself but when I looked at the setup and what all it involved I knew I couldn't figue it out so just continued to do it the old way. BUT - if it's that better or easier ( once figured out ) I would want to use it. Anybody tried both and your comments would be appreciated.

Very nice. Thanks, I enjoyed that. Did you see the size of the King Tiger. Had no idea they were that damn big. Can you picture yourself in a sherman rounding a corner and seeing that sitting in front of you. Gunner bring me my brown pants. And what the devil is a tiger 2? Never heard of it, not that I would have. Looks more like a panther to me. I guess they were an improvement over the tiger.

How about who downloaded the most mods? Surely I would win that award. I used to have a fairly speedy computer but now - well, I'm having to upgrade and the things not even paid off, but it's has been worth it. Thanks to each and every mod maker out there.. You guys and gal have truly made CM into something special - not that it wasn't already. My personal thanks and gratitude to you!!!!!!!!!!! You are all winners!
