After I posted my post above just now I re-read the post again. Did I read that correctly? you drew that drawing? Damn, that's unbelieveable. Boy, some people have all the talent! I can rub two sticks together myself and make fire - well, most of the time anyway. I'm very impressed- With the drawing not my rubbing two sticks together.

Looks good. Great idea to get started on the mods for CM2 now. Hope all the mod modders or what ever they're called ( I personally call them wonderful human beings ) start doing that. It would be so cool to have a bunch of mods waiting for the game to come out.

I thinks Matt is just lazy and doesn't love us anymore. Probably out partying and stuff. ME, ME, ME , is all he thinks.

I admit that is a good idea but I mostly just play short games so am not that keen on it. What I would wish for is (Darn this is hard only wishing for one thing. Maybe I'll start a post saying " If you could only ask for Two things in CM2, just kidding.) that the tank turrets could rotate the direction you wanted them to independent of the body. Example" Tank is traveling North and you want the turret to be pointing West or whatever. Now I know that would be easy to allow in the game. They just won't do it because their mean and I'm probably the only one that wants it !

How about shoulder patches for the American's. German too but I don't know if they actually used them so if not forget I mentioned the German's. I know there are some for the original uniforms but I guess you can't use them for any of the new uniforms that are out. It really improves the appearance of the game seeing dozens of GI's coming over a hill to attack the enemy, I think anyway. Yes, I know the airborne troops have them. Thinking of the ground pounders.

Not to be impolite or rude but in an effort to simply correct something the 7.62 NATO round is actually a 308 cal. Cartridge. It could never go thur 3 ft of anything, well maybe jello. The BAR is actually a 30/06 cartridge and it also couldn't go thur 3 feet or even 1 solid foot of wood either. Just for what it's worth.

Yeah I knew you would be happy to get on the list. Actually there's only 5 of you so far so you are in an elite group (if you call 5 people a group). Anyway, I still think they should date the mods or something. With so many mods out there it could get confusing - like it's not already.

I am fairly new to looking on forum's and haven't seen a lot of them but I do feel that for whatever reason the regulars on this one are cooler. I believe it's because most of us know that because of this game itself and CM2 coming out that we are going to be using this one for a long long time and if we are going to be accepted and liked we need to be at least a little polite/nice and or helpful to each other. (OK, there are a few exceptions ) but knowing this makes us like kind of a family. Not that any of you guys are welcome to the house for dinner. I do have a extremely pretty 23 year old daughter and don't trust any of you that much.

Can anybody tell me if the Pershing tank mod by Tiger on CM Outpost is new! If you go to Tiger's list of mods and find the above item it states "New" on it. Is that new as in now or new as in months ago? Please somebody that knows let me know. Whoever answers ( correctly ) gets on my good guy list unlike some of you out there that are not. You know who you are.

Since I play nothing except the American's ( still bad at the British about the tea thing ) I only buy Greyhounds and if I have to the halftracks for the 50 Cal mounted on it. I love pitting the American halftracks up against the German 250/1 or 251/1. They come out on top everytime. But they really aren't too useful otherwise. If I ever did play the German's I sure wouldn;t hesitate to buy the Puma. They are very strong and have a pretty good punch. The mortar vehicles are useless in my hands.

I second the request for a Hi-res Pershing tank. Tiger's low-res is good and it beats the original but a good Hi- res would make this tank look much better. Oh yes - with a white star on the front and turret sides.

Maybe somebody is messing with us? Bet that's it but let me ask you both a question. How much and what have you been drinking just prior to noticeing these disappearances?

Thanks for the reply Simon. That's interesting. You'd thought that if it worked so well or even a little that the Allied's would have used them too. I wonder if due to the poor power of our bazooka's that the skirts worked for them but wouldn't for us because the German AT weapons were so much more powerful and wouldn;t have helped us that much? I would like to do some reading on the subject but wouldn't even know where to start so I'll just assume that this was probably the reason. Again, thanks for your info Simon.

I'm with you on all the different directions you have to check out before moving or whatever. I get my guys killed more because of that then any other reason. I would love to see some improvement in this area myself. Good suggestion.

I was just looking at some of the German tanks and wondered why the American's didn't use them. Any X-tankers out there or anybody that knows? I would be interested in hearing why if you have a minute. :confused:

Best game ever, that's for sure. I have no interest in anything else since I bought it including work. Well, ok I really didn't have much of an interest in work to begin with and this game didn't help at all. We won't even start on my married life. Buy it, you'll like it. Welcome, by the way.

Did you know that the BAR shot the 30-06 round? And not to be impolite but the round will not go through 3 feet of wood not even 1 feet. I tested them on many many types of material and it won't do it. Sounds cool though. The 300 Win Mag won't go through 3 feet either but that's another subject. Also, just for interest the 7.65 Nato round is just a 308 cal. and it's not as powerful as the 06. We went to that round due to the bulk factor. Course look at us now using the 5.62 mm or as we civilans call it 223 cal. Most states won't even allow it for large game but it works on humans pretty good. Course the idea is not to kill in war but to wound.
