I noticed that we gave up on the M1917 HMG in 11/1944. Does anybody know why we would stop using these and just go with the M1919 a MMG? I can't imagine why we would stop using a HMG and continue with a MMG. Anybody got any info or know any sites that explain it? It really bugs me as the 1917 seems to be a much better MG or at least it is in the game. I tried several tests and the HMG is a lot more gun at least in fire power then the 1917 was.

Gosh Poor Old Spike it sure sounds lovely. I'll simply have to put that on my list of locations to visit in the future - way in the future. Call me silly but I really think Slovenia sounds a tiny bit nicer.

So Moneymaxx if I may make a suggestion? If you get off your butt and get out of the house instead of playing Pbem's with me you might have a bigger chance of success getting that job. so Netherlands has 4 so far. We better get another Texan to sign in soon. Looks like New York has 5. Darn !And Dandelion your description of Slovenia sounds like my kind or place. It truely sounds like heaven. Who knows my wife and I do travel on occassion since she's a travel agent and I'll certainly have to check into visiting there. Finally my favorite country has signed in Ireland. Thanks for the brief history lesson Dandelion. Well now I know why the German's were called Huns , interesting. Not that it makes much sense like you pointed out. Maybe they were just trying to hurt their feeliing but they could have done a better job by calling them something like Sissy men or stupid heads. I kind of think Huns is pretty cool, not the people just the name itself.

Yes I like it Dressler even though the pictures aren't real good. Like you said probably look better in the game which is usually the case anyway but overall looks like sometime I would like to play with. Thanks for your work and time.

Well I've got the opposite problem. I always play the American's and the German tanks take out my guns faster then anything. Even when hid which they normally are they still don't last as long as you'd think. I suppose the shell's that the German's used were more effective then what American's used but it's gotten to the point where I seldom ever buy field pieces anymore.

I never actually thought about it but have of course seen stuff like this but now that you mention it I too can picture Hitler with his mad face on running across Europe. Hey moneymaxx the links aren't working at least for me they're not. I think the list is a real good thing to have and everybody should discuss it before playing. I know I will. I think most people like moneymaxx and myself are more worried about others thinking that we're pulling something gamey then us worrying about others being gamey. I think that says a lot for most of us that visit this forum and want to play.

No not a dumb question at all. You should see some of mine but anyway to answer your question. Now I don't use CMMO so can't answer that but as far as just using regular mods then yes just d/l mods into a folder of your choice maybe named Zipped Mods and then unzip them to look at and then copy them over into your Bmp folder. They will replace your previous ones. So enjoy and yeah it's a shame that not all the mods out there are set up for CMMO and that's the main reason I don't use it. There are just so many outstanding mods out there I prefer over some in CMMO.

I am interested in seeing where everyone is from state or country wise and thought I'd see if I could get everyone to reply. Now since this is for my interest only although it may interest others I started it so would like to define what I am looking for - if that's ok with everybody? Please just state the location where you actually live. Doesn't mean your present location which could be different. Well maybe if you live somewhere where you will be staying the rest of your life then state that country or state. This is actually only for CMBO. CMBB can do their own if they want to. First thanks for the replys guys even if they are not what I wanted to hear or agree on but like Fionn pointed out that's my opinion and his. So cool. What I trying to do however is determine what most people would think about that. I have seen that site before nevermind and also think it would be a good tool to have in The Proving Grounds but doesn't it still leave open what is actually gamey and what't not? It does however help a lot but even going by it it doens't spell out not to do it. I guess like mentioned before you just have to talk to your opponent. I personnally am making a list of questions to discuss for the future but would be great to have a list at the various signup sites.

Ok I'm having a problem about the dismounted tank crews etc not being able to be used in certain circumstanes. Example; Here's your crew, fighting all around them. Where is he going to go? To the rear? Where's the rear and might the enemy not be in that direction anyway? I say crews would try to make thier way to the rest of the force in the area. If that's around a flag then I know I at least would try to hook up with these other troops. Would that be considered gamey?

This is great stuff guys. Thanks to all for the info. I have always had problems with these weapons. Either what to do with them or how to get them where they should be etc. so this is extremely helpful stuff. Good oh JasonC for starting it.

I just heard about this feature recently myself and I have read the manual "sort of anyway" years ago. I however have misplaced it and or my wife destroyed it :mad: . Could someone explain what all is involved here if it wouldn't require too much typing on your part. I would really really like to use it.
