  1. Very nice and will help a lot. Thanks for you taking the time and doing this for us. Now even better.

  3. That there are no 1943 period StugIIIF/8 or StugIIIG (Early) mods out there? There's not. I looked since these were the only two armored vehicles that I still have the original ones of. Hmmm. isn't that odd? Hmmm.
  4. Excellent job gautrek. They do look used and dirty plus I like that dark color you've used. Another one I'll have in my games thank you very much. Appreciate it - again.
  5. Excellent Supersulo and thank you. That play/Pause button in the game being reversed was bugging me and I had actually already gotten it earlier this morning from one of your posts in a thread but sure want to thank you for doing and sharing it with us, not to mention the other improvement. That play/pause button one works great and I bet I've smiled about having it corrected a dozen times this morning while playing a scenario. A little thing perhaps but I couldn't be happier about them. Thanks again. [ September 01, 2003, 03:08 PM: Message edited by: lcm1947 ]
  6. OK, OK if we are dropping names then you have to look at Flesh's stuff too. While the modders above are all certainly good and I have something from everyone of them I also have to mention Flesh's as being extremely well done with some really nice color schemes and they are done on some of the vehicles you will encounter a lot in the games like the Sd/KF251/1 and lots of the Stug's. Far too many to mention here but they are great looking in the game. Oh and don't forget Makjager's excellently done Lynx which is the only one of his at the CM depot but you will have to find it by using the "Search Mod Database" finder as it's not under his name under the designers names. He's also got some just beauiful later PzII's but for whatever reason they aren't posted anywhere yet.
  7. A Stug IIIF you say Flesh? Well that would have been my third choice, so cool but the poor IIIF/8 and IIIG(early) also really needs some help. Maybe somebody will do those some time. Hey, one can hope, can't one? Thanks for letting me know Flesh.
  8. More mods coming? That is sweet music to my ears. You da man Flesh! Please do keep us posted. I wonder what you could be doing now prey tell. Can hardly wait to see what you are up to now. You do come up with some of the best color schemes. Seems they are always kick ass and different.
  9. I don't know about Mobear but I for one sure appreciate it and if you don't mind I will be the keeper of this closely guarded secret in case future need of it comes about inwhich case I can come forth like a white knight like you just did and render this gift to the needy. Thank you kind Sir and may you die and be in heaven an hour before the devil knows you're dead.
  10. It's a beauty and even better looking then your screenie and it comes in two camo schemes. What a great looking mod. Just love your colors you do. Thanks for the time and efforts you put into these great looking mods.
  11. So if I am having problems with anything over 3000 points then I should stay away from this one then?
  12. Very nice guetrek. I love the way you do dirty vehicle and this one is very nice looking also. You have gotten that dirty look down pat and they always seem to even look even better then your screenies in the actual game. Looking forwar to it and thanks for your efforts and time. You are fast becoming one of the better modders out there although there are lots of them to be part of. Now as I'm not a tank grog or anything which particular one is this? I would hope it's either the 1943 IIIF/8 or IIIG(early) but that's just me hoping.
  13. Hang in there Sgt. Beavis I think you're winning this one. At least in my opinion although I know that's not the issue here but thought I'd throw that in for moral support. The issue is not whether you could by pass them, ignore them, or whatever but why they don't die like humans. They are evidently firing back and causing you casulties so that must mean that they are not down in deep holes which means they should also be vulnerable to fire. I actually just had a similar superman HQ units in a game I just played which is why I remembered this topic and thought I'd check back on it. This God like HQ unit fended off one Pz II ( 20 mm ), three HT 151's and two full 10 or 9 man squads and was able walk away and live to see another day or at least he would have if I hadn't got pissed and sent the two full sqauds after him to hunt him down and kill him, which they did. I actually thought of saving the game but and sharing it here but thought what's the use. I think as close as an agreement as we are going to get is from JasonC when he said: _________________________________________________ It could be argued that the infantry fp model is too forgiving to small units. It seems to put casualties on them as some percentage chance against the men in the unit, so smaller units take fewer absolute losses. The way you are supposed to adapt to this is by ignoring impotent tiny units. "Eliminationist", willful desire for overkill of the last man is extremely inefficient in fp expended and ammo terms. _________________________________________________ Anyway if people can't see or understand your point which was very well worded and explained, I might add, then I'm afraid it's just you and me against these hordes. and you just can't win against hordes. PS: Do you suppose the guys that are so dead set against admitting and recognising this obvious game flaw were or are actually officers themselves. Only possible answer.
  14. I have a modest computer being a 850 processor with a 64 whatever video card and something like 392 Ram and when I first got this game and played it without any 3rd party mods it had no problems with the larger scenarios but now that I have just about every Russia and German vehicle modded plus terrain it got to the point where it was a dog to run anything over 3000 points. I just recently changed to Tank-A-Lots low res grass, snow and tree bases as well as some low res trees and it has helped a bunch. So yes at least on my computer it slowed things down. I think somebody back in the CMBO forum once told me that the grass and snow mods were the biggest hogs and this seems to prove it. So thanks to Tanks-A-Lots lo-res mods and they actually look great too. What a deal.
  15. Excellent Flesh and I am heading that way as we speak but you should start a new post telling everyone. This post is dying and I'm afraid many will miss it and your mods if you don't. But hey great mods by the way. Love your stuff and I bet I've got everything you've done so far.
  16. Finally after years of seeing this exact same thing in my games starting way back with CMBO and then to my horror in my brand new and improved CMBB someone else sees it and thinks it's pure lame. I have posted about it several times back when playing CMBO myself but finally gave up after everybody and their mother jumbed in making excuses and reasons for it. So it is nice to see that I am not the only one that feels it's ridiculous and highly unrealistic. I'm afraid however you'll just have to learn to deal with it as I have done or it'll drive you crazy each time it happens. I even stopped playing scenarios for a long time so I could at least could edit HQ units in battles I designed where they had less ammo, no special skills and were green to correct this silly and unbelievable phenomenon. Anyway, I finally got over it and started playing scenaros again due to Pbem's and just think of all HQ units as being composed of a full sqaud as well as the HQ units themselves. But if it helps please put me down as one that agrees wholeheartedly with you.
  17. Oh cool Herr Kruger and thanks for the help. I can't believe you hadn't noticed them being ass backwards though as it was one of the very first things I noticed when first getting the game and even got a laugh out of it wondering what in the world BFC was thinking or should say what were they drinking that day. Anyway I do thank you for the BMP's and I'll sure try switching them in hopes that this is all it'll take to correct. It's not a really big deal I guess but everytime I use them I always hesitate before clicking them due to this error and it's just weird looking.
  18. Hello TTT. Let me refer you to this site. You will be happy I did and all your troubles will go away. http://www.garykrockover.com/cmbb/ Cheers.
  19. I'd be happy to answer you Godflesh but there are just hundreds of mods available and many of the mods were done by different modders of the same tank or vehicle or whatever so it really boils down to taste when trying to decide on a particular mod. See the problem? Also my personal opinion is that if you download a couple of mods, take tanks for example then the rest of the tanks in that game will pale alongside your d/l one and to me I'd rather not do that but again my opinion so what I would suggest is sticking to only changing terrain or building or uniforms, etc. That way you wouldn't have the problem I mentioned above. Now if you just insist on picking up some vehicle mods then I would suggest you decide what countries and what period you will be playing mostly and d/l'ing mods for those areas. So if you can just get back and let me know which way you want to go I would be more then happy to recommend some to you. Oh and welcome to the game and this forum. You are in for a time of your life with this game for many many years to come. So get back with your answers and I will refer you to some mods. Later.
  20. Hey how about learning that you can switch some Bmp's around to make the "start" and "Pause" buttons work properly? Now if he will just answer me I'll be very happy. So some good can come from evil after all. Course we don't know the Bmp's yet.
  21. Thank God somebody else agrees about the buttons. Now back to the comment about switching Bmp's to correct it. Which numbers do you switch? I gotta know those button do drive me crazy. Oh and Hi Dandlion. Boy you just can't leave some people alone for a month without them going and getting themselves in trouble. I knew you should have come over to the CMBB forum when I did. Now look what you've done. Hehe. Take care Dandlion and stay out of trouble if you can. Hehe. [ August 30, 2003, 12:53 AM: Message edited by: lcm1947 ]
  22. Actually those sound like some good ideas and who knows maybe someone is listing. As far as the flags and certain troops being assigned to attack them I think that really would be a good idea. Like it is now the AI seems to just attack one flag which doens't seem too realistic when the goal should be all of them or at least most of them. Anyway, good ideas I think.
  23. I think this topic should be in the general forum itself. MOM! No, all kidding aside I totally agreed that there is never a reason to be rude. Like your momma told you or should have anyway "If you can't say something nice then shut your damn stupid mouth up" or something to that effect. Anyway continuing on, I also looked at the post that was supposed to give us an example and while it wasn't really bad it would have made one feel that he was stupid for posting and that probably made him feel bad. The dumdum part was uncalled for in my opinion but it was very mild and Michael should be allowed to get off with just a warning this time. Next time we go to his house and beat the crap out of him.
  24. No disrespect to Fernando whom I admire and am sure he was just making a point anyway as he clearly expressed but I just have to add that I certainly agree with you Andrew. Your mods are what they are ( some of the best ) due to your reasoning. You must be in sales? I know I for one love the extras that you add to your mods.
  25. I strongly agree with Cabron66 as the most important thing is that the game needs to be realistic. I love the eye candy as much if not more then anybody else but wouldn't be playing it still to this day for over the past 3 years if not for it doing that. I think BFC has balanced both of these things extremely well. The realistic part and graphics. They should however concentrate on it staying realistic above all else and let the great group of modders we have take care of the eye candy part. This way guys with only average puters can still play the game without having to slow their game down anymore then what it already is and the guys with the faster ones can grab all the modds they like. My 2 cents anyway.
