Go away or I shall taunt you a second time!
Hiram Sedai replied to buddy's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
Here is a quote from real life: "Dammit Private!! Swing your arms before I rip them off of you and beat you with them!" Drill Sergeant Ledbetter My Basic Training Drill SGT 1987 ------------------ "If you want battle, come to me!" - Lieutenant Worf -
PBEM enhancement suggestion
Hiram Sedai replied to M. Bates's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
I would also suggest a way to save in a specific subdirectory on a PC. For instance, when you have multiple PBEM's going on some filenames might be the same. ------------------ "If you want battle, come to me!" - Lieutenant Worf -
What's With This Hamster Infatuation?
Hiram Sedai replied to Col Deadmarsh's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
I hate Hamsters!! He smells funny and he's rude. -
I think this thread has merit and should be noticed. Don't poo-poo the idea of being nice in the CM community. Its very possible to PBEM people and be courteous. Granted, I don't PBEM well, but I am oh so very nice. I remember my first PBEM with Moriarty. "Hot Diggity!" I thought to myself, I finnally get to play with one of the "Big Dawgs" I wouldn't dare say that he is nice, I can't speak for him. The things he is doing to my hapless troupies in far from nice. The weeping and panicking they are experiencing is troubling to witness. I try to explain this to my family and it ends up with them handing me a box of tissues. ------------------ -Work Hard -Type Fast -Save Often

I am fully capable and predisposed to being nice. In fact, I am "oh so very nice" I remember MAJ Frank Burns when he said "its nice to be nice to the nice" I'll send you a setup tommorow because I have to be really nice to my lovely girlfriend tonight. Well, Governer Whitman has created plenty of new jobs in NJ. Traffic is still scary in Camden and Gloucester Counties. We have a new disease being spread by misquitoes and crows are dropping like flies. hmmm....The air is still thick and kind of soupy, no change there. ------------------ -Work Hard -Type Fast -Save Often

Another thread about graphics...
Hiram Sedai replied to Jeff Heidman's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
I'm next: Pentium 166 with 32 MB RAM. The only reason I can play CM is because my Video Card has 16MB on it. hehe -

The pauses help me when I get a bunch of vehicles on a road traveling in the same direction. I've had some traffic jams with jeeps until I figured out the pauses. my .02 ------------------ -Work Hard -Type Fast -Save Often

Your favorite snack while Wargaming (possibly OT)
Hiram Sedai replied to a topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
I like to munch on Cheetos when playing CM. Actually, "munch" is not altogether accurate. I like to savor the cheesy goodness of the crunchy little wonders and only use my right hand to make my moves with the game. By the end of my tenth turn, I have an orange smile and little cheeto crumbs all over my keyboard. Oh sweet mystery of life... ------------------ -Work Hard -Type Fast -Save Often -

I'm still amazed at the bomber runs and the shadow that you see on the ground when the plane attacks. Weather would just be a feature that I would turn off because of my limited concentration and ....what was i writing about now? hmmm ------------------ -Work Hard -Type Fast -Save Often -
