I, being a sprinter at heart, have never had the endurance for the 1500, so this may well be an opportunity for you of you to knock me off of my self-perceived pedestal! Come now, who shall it be? A Word of Gratitude to so Many of You
Hiram Sedai replied to Wild Bill Wilder's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
Wild Bill, I sincerely beleive that it is we who should be grateful to you. Granted, I've only played the scenarios that came with the game, but I am aware of how detailed you made the mission briefings and how true to history you made the scenarios. So, let me just say thank you. Playing the scenarios and saying "good job" is the least we can do. -

You probably already know this but....I just hit the plus key until I get to a unit that has the radio icon with the red cross through it showing its out of command radius. ------------------ Did someone compare this to the Peng thread? I've apologized for less. -Anonymous -

Cooperative Play in CM
Hiram Sedai replied to Hamstersss's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
Thus far, the only co-op multiplayer game I've done has been Myth II Soulblighter. We would use the system where one person would be captain and decide who would get what. With that game it would be warriors, archers, and dwarves. So, what M. Bates stated makes sense to me inasmuch as one person could be mech, one armor, one arty, etc and the captain could assign squads or platoons to certain players. We each have our strengths and weaknesses i.e. armor vs infantry, so this could be taken into account when we are assigned soldiers/vehicles/tanks etc. Hitting Alt-S would just allow the other teamate to move certain pieces again thus defeating the co-op idea. So, the person who has the file last has the say on what that team really is going to do. thoughts? ------------------ Did someone compare this to the Peng thread?
