  1. Corona doesn't seem to be too far, so I suppose I can attend. But July 20th? CMBB will surely be released before that.
  2. Lee is studying at the Super Ted School of News Reporting. You can see he didn't fall asleep during Madmatt's special lecture on exclamation points. [ July 07, 2002, 09:14 PM: Message edited by: Pvt. Ryan ]
  3. That's also one certain way to piss off BFC (and make them show their teeth) when they have already said this type of thread will be locked up from now on. BFC is never going to give us a release date until they are ready. Although they want this game done as much as anyone else, they don't want to set a deadline for themselves. I think the general estimate of Q3 (assumed) is a good enough guide for now. The more you think about when CMBB will be released, the longer it will seem.
  4. Do any beta testers live on Lincoln Boulevard in Santa Monica? I really don't think I should have to get in my car to see a sneak preview.
  5. Do vehicles slow down before they stop?
  6. MT, keep in mind that we are commanders of all the forces at our disposal, not tank commanders. We order our tanks to assume hull down positions and it up to them to do it. Of course, you can still manually find your own hull down position instead of relying on the hull down command. Plus, as well as the feature may work, it is still an AI function and is probably not as good at finding the perfect hull down position as a human player would be. But then again, maybe it is. BFC, keep up the good work. I too look forward to the day when CMBB constitutes my entire life. Not that I have much of one otherwise.
  7. I'm not saying BFC is ready to release CMBB, or even ready to tell us when they are going to release it, just that it must be getting pretty close. [ July 04, 2002, 02:02 PM: Message edited by: Pvt. Ryan ]
  8. For those of us who can't attend, look on the bright side - CMBB must be pretty damn close to completion if they are letting people have a look at it.
  9. Someone look on Rune's fridge to see if the release date is posted.
  10. Will this be covered by the major media outlets for those of us who can't make it? Casa de Rune - sounds like it's in Los Angeles. I think you meant LA instead of Chicago.
  11. How about Pasadena? Would that be better? Or maybe Smith River - check a map, it's somewhere on the 101.
  12. Let's have a 4th of July gathering. OK, everyone meet at 6pm. See y'all there.
  13. Yes, this was discussed a couple of weeks ago. The ad isn't clear, but most of us assume the demos are for the other games.
  14. Do to unforseen circumstances, September will have only 30 days this year, and every year henceforth. This change will also be retroactive to the time that the Gregorian calendar came into use.
  15. Well, I did consult with Miss Cleo on this, so the date is pretty reliable.
  16. Gordon, you do such nice work. Could you please take a trip up to Maine and throw your weight around?
  17. That's great news! I'm looking forward to your new old site.
  18. The release will surely be announced on this board with a post in all caps and many exclamation points. It will also probably be flashed on the news ticker in Times Square.
  19. I can't take credit for the date, only the explanation.
  20. 9/27 is the last Friday of Q3, although Monday, 9/31 is the last weekday. Some magazines have a CMBB release date of Q3. Maybe he feels that the last weekend of Q3 will be the release date.
  21. Well, lcm, the squeaky return roller does get the grease afterall.
