  1. Two things happen when soldiers get shot. First, the piss their pants, which is represented by the pool of yellow around them. If they are hit bad enough they bleed to death, which is represented by the pool of red around them.
  2. Handihoc, I've seen that happen on replays, but never on the original turn. Were you watching a replay when that happened?
  3. Once you've played enough you can visually identify impassible terrain. When you attempt to plot a waypoint through impassible terrain the cursor will also let you know. Just drag the cursor over the intended path of the vehicle to check for impassible terrain.

  5. I would think the module would be more like a patch that introduces the new components. The splash screen may be updated to show that you have the module installed, but I think you would still have a CMSF.exe.
  6. I usually use the quick command to load troops on a vehicle. What happens if you use assault? Does it accept the order?

  12. I had a situation last night where the remaining member of a Syrian ATGM crew was lying on a rooftop of a small one story building. There was an entire US squad inside the building and an entire US squad on the roof of the building. The two US squads blazed away for two full turns expending all ammo before the lone Syrian ( ) finally died.

  14. Try this: Close your eyes or leave the computer while the turn plays out the first time. This is equivalent to watching the blue bar while the computer crunches numbers in CMx1. Then watch the replay and you will have the ability to FF or skip the entire turn by hitting the red button.
  15. I think they made the change because people were complaining that it was a two step process to get a Javelin - why would anyone want a launcher without a missile? But I agree with you, it would be nice to be able to get that last missile without having to take the extra launcher. Consider that a scout platoon only has one soldier with Javelin training and there could be 12 missiles and 4 launchers in the accompanying Strykers. That means one squad could be lugging around all four launchers.
  16. I think the WWII game is going to be awesome. I don't see the point of complaining before we even know what its limitations might be. But it does have to have on board mortars. I don't know how it works IRL, but I hate having to wait for mortar fire when I just want to drop a few rounds on a pesky MG hiding in a trench. I really liked the on-board mortars in CMx1. I think you said they will be included, so, they better be. :mad:
  17. Steve, I'd gladly pay $100 for a CM game that simulates the period of 3000 BC to the present. I'll even wait the two years it would take you to make it. But it's gotta have horses.
