I have to say I have noticed this too. I've played the two demo scenarios to death and a couple of others to a degree, and the penetrative rounds are far less destructive than they appeared in CMBB. Could it be the FOW however causing this, rather than any armour data 'tweaks'?

Arghh I was enjoying that guys. Come on what's the outcome then - and are we going to see a new improved version of CMMOS that supports CMAK? I loved it for CMBB.

I think to start with I'd like to see the winterised Shermans and allied AFV's. You know the ones with the heavy frosted look - Remembering back, they were my best mods in CMBO. Then perhaps the uniforms, with minor alterations. I'm no grognard so I'll let the experts deal with the detail. Perhaps some refinement to the Matilda as well - but I haven't been able to spend much time with the game yet, although I played the demo to death. I'd love to see sky mods, terrain improvements, a Juju fest.. hehe.. then Madmatts sound mods..

hehe I've got 4GB of mods in total now. Soon I'll need a new hard drive just for CM. BFC should supply one with the release of CM-X.

I got thinking about this. Combat Mission is the ONLY game still to survive my house keeping antics. It's the only game to still be on my hard drive all this time later. Pretty impressive BFC eh?

Well I got my copy today, and I did not receive any email shipping confirmation at all, nor did I receive any reply to two emails I sent to sales in the last three days!

The waffen thingy is a big deal in my books, I pay for a game and I expect it not to be censored. How long are we looking at before receiving it though? I pre-ordered on the first day from BFC.

I'm sooo tempted to nip out tomorrow and get myself CMAK from game or somewhere, but my question is this - do I get it now or do I wait? I got CMBB from CDV and to be honest I've had dreadful experiences with their stuff. No disrespect to BFC. Does it offer anything on top of the CDV version also?

Does the AI have to use arty is maybe what the question should be. I've played that scenario a few times now from both sides and both times I've seen arty used, admittedly more for smoke than for HE. Also, if you catch the spotter early on and keep him pinned or killed then they're not gonna be using it anyway..

ok thanks I think I follow now - so I need to issue the command twice to get them to follow the order - I've just played the mission twice and have had all my commanders shot up by that pesky sniper.

I'm not sure I follow you Andreas? Surely there is no other way to order them to button-up other than at the start of a turn?

This is beginning to annoy me. You button up only to have them unbutton themselves within a turn or two, and get the commander shot out by a sniper or machine gunner a lot easier than in CMBB. You don't have any control in this. I like the fact it's easier to hit the commander now, but I hate the fact they unbutton themselves like that.

I just bought a Nvidia 5950 - it's superb for Combat Mission. I have had several ATi cards in the past, my last being a 9800Pro. The AF was brilliant in CM but the lack of fog really got my goat. It adds heaps of atmosphere to the game.
