  1. Those aer good pics , MikeyD A good source of info ... http://www.cgsc.edu/carl/resources/csi/doubler/doubler.asp
  2. Thanks !! Slow it is ... I've used HUNT for 11 yrs now and didn't realize the "new" hunt meant go look around and not shoot ....
  3. Have a friend that was an Armor guy ... Armor is pretty blind in real life ...
  4. It really allows a "historian" the ability to understand EXACTLY why the Cullen devices were rushed into service by front line troops and just how poor the Allies "intelligence" really was when the Allies hit the beaches ...
  5. Amen , Brother ... Only thing "blown" is my free time !! :D:D
  6. Nice !! Looking forward to German and US MGs really sounding different ....
  7. Agreed 100% !! The troops in Normandy most likely wished they'd been omitted !
  8. Yup ... the sounds need to be seperated and matched ... Hopefully its just in the demo ... and , yes , I know how to spell Abrams
  9. Killing your wife to prevent her from being annoyed ? How thoughtful !!
  10. Enjoying this new CM game immensely ... Just gets sweeter with age !!!
  11. Great idea , but , as far as skills to make mods .. I have no idea how to change the sound files ... But , yes , since we have individual soldiers now , hearing the very distinct sounds differences of the MG42 and the BAR and the 1917's and 1919's and the very different sounds of the different SMGs in action would just make this game even more orgasmic
  12. Agreed ... we'll have to see what BF has planned ... I miss the rip of the '42 But ,at the moment , I'm still figgerin out the CMx2 controls , so all my guys can march towards the sound of battle ..
  13. Oh yes , the GI could tell the difference ... Interesting videos .. facing the MG42 http://youtu.be/N59msUnyy1g http://youtu.be/AwW31u6wYvE
  14. Quandry ... shall I find lost tanks in the fog , or go watch my untrained dudes run willy nilly in the bocage of CM:BN demo ? Hmmm ... Demo has it !
  15. Thank You ! Leaving forum and going back to demo , now .... see if I can get my dudes all going in the right direction
  16. That would be very helpful ... I am also a WWII CMx1 veteran trying to figure out CMBN CMx2 ... Thanks!!
  17. I'm in agreement with Canuck .... I gave up on CMA demo because of the interface ... I was so used to CMx1 controls .... WWII is of interest enough for me to want to learn the controls ... I fell asleep last night after download when I failed to get units to go where I wanted ... try again tonight when I'm awake !! Graphics look fabulous!!
  18. From my original CM:BO Demo instructions from way way back .... HMMMM .... Repeat of 11 yrs ago ?
  19. Considering more maps will be coming in the follow on modules , I won't miss the random maps .... I've lost count of how many ASL scenarios I've played on the original few SL/CoI/CoD/GI maps ...
  20. Just killing time ... I set up another 5000 pt game using CM:AK ... Jan 45 ,assortment of TigerIs , PzIVJs , JgPzIVs , and PzVGs vs Assortment of M4e8s , M18s , M10s and M4a1/76 rolling hills and fog !! Fog is so thick I lost some tanks Fun times !!!
  21. I had mentioned this game a few pages back ... since that time I found mine ! Of course , with a name of Abrams , I played the 4th Armored Division ... As the German , the 11th Pz .... Arracourt is prob my most studied battle ...
  22. First Computer game , the scale of CM? Hmmm ... CM:BO is the first and only added CM:AK and CM:BB at this scale .... I had Knights of the Desert : North African Campaign of 1941-1943 published by SSI for the Commodore 64 in the early 80's .... I had several of the SSI C64 games "back in the day ".... and then in the mid 90's , I moved up to a PC machine and I played MicroProse "Across the Rhine" until CM came along ... Also played Panzer Elite ... but CM:BO put all of the others to bed ....
  23. Fun times ... I love that scale ... I've gone back to that scale for gaming ... easier on my eyes and the tanks look cool on flatcars on my Large Scale railroad ! Yes , 4x8 in 1:35 does make some short range fire fights .... I still set up 5000 pt Quick battles ... King Tigers vs Easy 8 Shermans .... Lots of carnage ... and more tanks than I could afford in 1:35 !!
  24. I have little interest in the East ... I just bought CM:BB when I pre-ordered CM:BN ... more to have the entire CMx1 series ... Bring on the Brits , and the SS !
