As an Old CMBO Guy (I started with the Demo over a year ago ), this was not a problem for me until I recently upgraded my original version 1.0 to the latest upgrade . Something changed that did not need to be IMO. Abrams Out dP

Hi Guys, I played vs the German computer and had a Tactical Victory. I owned the town and the left sidfe of the map.I was in process of working to the right side and removing the last German Armor when the game ended. I ran most of the US Armor "Hell Bent" right up the road with infantry going for a wild ride. I am sure vs a human it would not have beem so good. Thje results seem right. Abrams was feeling a tad cocky at the time and thought 1/2 of a Combat Command would work. It would be nice to substitute a full Combat Command onto this map and have a go at it . Abrams out

Thanks for the help guys. I had already double checked the shift W before writing ... the top of my screen says that fog = full . I have an Intel 810e Video driver , so hopefully the upgrade from the site posted earlier will put me in the "Fog" Thanks Guys/Gals/People/Fellow CMers Abrams out

Apologies, I know this was discussed but it did not show up in a search for "fog". My daughter and I are playing a quick battle that is set in fog. The "fog" itself does not show up as it does on the screen shots we saw on someones web site What is my system missing ? Is it something that can be downloaded somewhere? Hi all , Got the game yesterday ... had to milk the cows and watch a b-ball game first. Six hours late , I go to battle ... Impressions -- Manual is very "First Class" even a computer dummy like me can follow along Explanations are real clear and easy to follow.The making scenario chptr might even get me to do a design or 2 ... first ,I'll map my farm and have battles on my "Home Turf" After looking at the scenarios ... Singling was an obvious choice for a guy named "Abrams" Several hours later , my alarm goes off ... Oh SHOOT , forgot to sleep ... The map matches my historical map as closely as can be expected in a computer game (awesome !! Maps and OoB info is what I first judge a game on ... you guys nailed a battle that I have studied right on ...gives me confidence that you did good work on battles that I have not studied ) A good romp , for sure . If someone wants a smaller armor/infantry combined arms scenario , this one would be great starter.Ended in a 45 - 55 Draw Two suggestions ... 1 Could the scenario list and info be posted to the web site to inform folks just what battles are covered ? Might help sales a tad . 2. As a Farmer and a studier of WWII , I noticed one omission from the rural scenarios... COWS !! They were in nearly every Western Front battlefield . Could they be added in a patch ? AWESOME GUYS !! As I said before AH/HASBRO/MMP are missing a BIG ONE here! Abrams , out

Hi All, When does one "know" when they know the game well enough to play a veteran ? I just played C.E. as the Germans vs the computer Americans ... the computer had +150% balance. I lasted all 40 turns and battled them to a 48 to 49 point draw with FoW on (the only way to play it , I've found ! ) . Do I need to actually win this battle to be able to compete with vets who have been here from the beginning ? More practice ... Oh Darn . Some other ??s 1. Are Victory points also based on the starting force size ? I was thinking that all those dead squads ,(from camera angle 5 there were at least 3-4 dead squads surounding each surviving German unit --my VolksGrenadier SMG squads were SUPERB!-rather grisly site , actually!), should be worth more in the end, considering my size disadvantage . 2. When playing FoW in PBEM , do all of those Stars and Crosses show up to give away your troop concentrations ? Or is it a true open battlefield until you actually hear or spot an enemy ? 3 Play Balance -- someone earlier this week asked whether or not the balance could be changed for both sides to give a "foggier" FoW feeling in PBEM -- I like this idea a lot,especially if Victory Points are awarded on a scale taking into account each sides start up forces. What a game guys !! After I get the "Real Game" , I was wondering if someone could help this computer illiterate move the demo scenarios into the real game area? I'd also like the demos from the beta version (2 are different , correct?) Thanks to All. Will be 37 in July , dated the same girl for 4 years through H.S. , married her ,been married 16 yrs this Oct ( Friday the 13th Three daughters , 11,8,5 ... all love the graphics of CM ... all three play with daddys' 1/48 scale miniatures ... Hi All , Will the demo scenarios be in the CM list of scenarios? Or will I need to keep the Gold Demo to play those 2 scenarios ? I hope they are included with the game . VoT is just TOO MUCH FUN !! Can the scenarios be user changed ? VoT ,if muddy ground and rain/fog could be added , it would make a good representation of some of the fighting around Metz/Lorraine area. Abrams

Greetings all, After reading the postings on this board , I got the feeling that I was missing out on the true flavor of CM during my learning process by not using full FOW , so I set up VoT , as the American with 150% US troops , full FoW . "Holy invisible Krauts , Batman ... I need Depends !! " Anyway ... I started at 11:00 PM for a turn or two ... next thing I know , my alarm clock goes off at 5:00 AM ... time to milk the cows and put in a full 18 hr day of field work ... AARRGGHHH !! I need sleep ... shall I cancel my order or join CM Anonymous and try to control my habit a tad ? Abrams

I've been getting the email updates for a long time ... I just recently bought a decent computer that will do more the mail & serf .. This was at one time going to be Computer ASL , correct ?
