3. Congratulations BTS. You have proven that a great product coupled with superior customer service equals massive sales. You are one squared away company, and seem to be the only one out there that really "gets it". Way to go and hurray for the good guys! Allons
 4.
quote:
Originally posted by Norm: Hi guys, I don't know what happened but I seem to have received an extra copy of Combat Mission in the mail. There may have been some mixed up at BTS and 2 of my orders were put through. So just to let some of you guys know that I'm going to put it up at eBay. Sorry if this is not the correct forum to post this. Thanks guys

Norm? Norm Manerie? Is that you??? Long time no see buddy
 5. In the editor, go to map preview and move the reinforcement location markers to terrain more suited to the reinforcements. No bug, this problem is easily taken care of.

 8.
quote:
Originally posted by Fionn: 4. Well that one goes out to manieri and his buddies.. Onetime I played Manieri. I had FOW on, he didn't... It never occurs to us old-timers to ask for FOW ON but since lots of people here are newbies I thought it safer to state it and make sure.

Whoa, you mean that's possible? I hope they fix that, sooner rather than later. Allons
 9. Ahh my old stomping grounds. I graduated from Marlboro HS way back when, and lived in Colts Neck. Allons
 10. Hey, isn't the second shot the hedgehog of Piepsk map?
 11. Here is my theory. BTS went to the post office with pallets full of CM for shipping. they had them in the order they received them. They unloaded the earliest orders first and the latest orders last. they filled the mailroom. The USPS, emptied the mailroom from the outside, taking the latest first and the early orders last. While shipping, there was such a high volume that the USPS only moved 1/3 of the pallets each day. Shipping took 3 days, starting Thursday. Shipping ended Monday, with the early orders going then. Expect your early pre-order to arrive this week. At least I hope so! ALLONS!!!
 12. Manta, That's great news. We appreciate the screen shots, well, at least I do. Could you post all the Scenario and Operations pages? I'd like to dream tonight about all I have to look forward to. If not, could you tell me if Singling is in the scenarios? Thanks in Advance Allons
 13. The ability for mired vehicles to self recover and rejoin the battle. Given the time and scope of CM battles, this should be possible, especially for those vehicles mired in the early turns. Of course, while self-recovering, the crew would be able to do little else, and would be exposed. Allons
 14.
quote:
Originally posted by Scott Clinton: I read Sabot's post twice and unless I missed his point, I think he is saying (suggesting?) that the 'extra' gunnery detail in CM (as opposed to CC) is superfluous. Am I missing something?

Scott, I didn't take it that way at all. I read it to mean that many various external factors influence tank accuracy, and that CM players shouldn't be surprised or flabbergasted when their tanks miss at seemingly guaranteed hit ranges. Allons
 15.
quote:
Originally posted by Scott C: I just finished a game of CE vs. the AI. AI was Germans with +75% forces. They only got 4 StuGs, though they did end up with a grand total of 15 infantry platoons. I nailed 3 of the StuGs for the loss of 1 Sherman. The final (buttoned!) StuG came into sight right at the end of a turn. During the orders phase, I check LOS for all my (unbuttoned!) Shermans. Range is about 250m. All 4 are hull down with at least 60% hit chance and OK to Good kill chance. The results after one turn: Shermans fire 10 shots. Closest miss ~20m. StuG fires 4 shots, brewing 4 Shermans.

I guess your guys skipped the boresite line this morning huh? Seriously though, I'd like to see the replay of that, or some screenshots. I'm curious. What other events were going on in the LOS between the Shermans and the STUG? Was there smoke? Did any vehicles move? Did other more threatening targets present themselves? Did the Shermans have only HE? There is something about this particular situation that seriously swayed the odds in the Stugies favor, because you had no apparent problems bagging the other 3. Please let us look at this situation and give you some feedback. Allons

 18.
quote:
Originally posted by Moon: Anticipating that the first few CD's should be with the first lucky few anytime soon, I have now activated the first few scenarios for Combat Mission. 19. Ted, Do not mistake Rommelshausen for being related to Rommel. It's a similarity in name only. The Rommel memorial is east of Munsingen and west of Ulm. It is his hometown, and is the place where he was forced to take poison. BTW, Rommel's son was mayor of Stuttgart up until just a few years ago. Jochen, Where in Stuttgart? My uncle lives in Endersbach, and my grandmother used to live in Beutelsbach/Weinstadt. [This message has been edited by Blackhorse (edited 06-16-2000).]
