  1. If he got a email confirmation then he should have been in the system. Who was your friend and what was his order number? Please have him email at matt@battlefront.com with his details at once! Madmatt</font>
  2. When did you put in your pre-order? I put mine in about a week before they started shipping and I still don't have it here in Fort Bend county. (Fort Bend is a neighbooring county of Harris, where Houston is located. It looks like one big city, just in case anyone was wondering about it)
  3. What is the deal with this? Is this just a site to find someone to play? http://www.insidemacgames.com/news/story.php?ArticleID=5427 http://homepage.mac.com/combatranger/
  4. I have seen this a few times and it was really annoying. It has gone way for me when I quit and restart CM. I don't recall if I had to reboot any of the these times. I would like to know the cause. I don't like it is a hot card in my case. [ March 16, 2002, 02:53 PM: Message edited by: pford ]
  5. The system requirements listed show it as Windows only. Is this a different packaging or just Window-centric ad writers thinking that there is no use in mentioning MacOS since no one uses it?
  6. Are you using NAT? That appears to mess up hosting.
  7. If you installed the TCP/IP addition by dragging everything out the folders and into the CM folder, it won't work. So when all else fails read the instructions. That was the final part that fixed it for me. Re-installed it correctely and it worked as advertized. BTW, is this a direct internet connection or via a router with NAT or a Firewall?

I still cannot open a TCP/IP connection<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> I completely reloaded CMBO and it worked. I suspect one of the added code files was corrupted. Thanks for the help.

  10. Would that be the Public IP address, the one the router sees on the cable modem, or the IP address that the computer sees, e.g. assigned on the LAN by the DHCP from the Router? THX
  11. I just upgraded from phone modem to cable modem and I am connecting to the internet using an home network via a router with NAT. Everything seems to be workng just fine except I cannot use CMBO TCP mode. I cannot connect to an opponent's IP and I cannot set it up to be the originator. I can ping him easily. Suggestions please. Addendum: I am trying this over a wireless connection also using Apple's Airport. [ 10-20-2001: Message edited by: pford ]

We've tried various zip formats to no avail....<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> On the Mac side, I have Eudora set to use uuencode, but I don't think this makes a difference for a text file. I have been playing Mac V PC without any problem. How are you attaching the files to be sent?

  14. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by Buckeye: Thanks guys. Posting to a newsnet Mac programming site is probably a good idea, although I'm not sure exactly how to do so. Any suggestions?<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> Try groups.google.com and go to the comp.sys.mac section such as comp.sys.mac.programmer http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&group=comp.sys.mac This will give you a list of sections. You will have to register to post.

Any Mac gurus out there who can answer this?<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> It looks like we don't know.(I believe it is no, but I am not certain.) Have you tried posting to a newsnet Mac programming site? I am sure someone on those sites would know. Regards [ 05-30-2001: Message edited by: pford ]
