  1. What are you asking, I'm confused. What platform are you referring to, PC or Mac? I don't follow your statement about copying the Core CD files to the Mod folder. And what Core CD zip icon are you talking about? If this is all have to do with the Mod Manager, then that's where I'm losing you as I don't use that. I just do it the ol' fashioned way. CTRL-Drag (copy) from mod folder to bmp folder. ------------------ For your dream car click here. For a Close Encounter click here. Hey look! I can see my house! 2. Just one question, why only make a 800x600 resolution splash screen? I like the new one, but you're limiting your potential customers by only offering it in that lower res. I myself run CM at 1152x864. The 1024x768 screen is even smaller than my viewable area. Let's just test this Geocities thing... It works. As long as you copy and paste the correct URL of the pic, it should work. ------------------ For your dream car click here. For a Close Encounter click here. Hey look! I can see my house! 7. The only problem with ABIT boards is that I can't find one that supports DDR memory. The only boards that I've seen so far that support DDR memory are the Gigabyte and Iwill boards. If you can point me in a direction of a ABIT board that supports DDR memory, I'd appreciate it. For the KT7A boards don't support it.

  9. Yep it sure does, from Internet Explorer that is, but NOT from Netscape. So there is a problem somewhere. [This message has been edited by Maximus (edited 03-17-2001).]

  15. Batch files are really easier than they appear. What you do is to copy all of the necessary bmps into the bmp folder. That is is that the bmps will have suffixes at the end of the bmp #. Such as 3060_us.bmp, 3060_uk.bmp and so forth. Now what the batch files will do is that depending whatever one you run, it deletes the basic bmp, then copies in the suffixed bmp as the basic bmp. In other words, it renames the suffixed file to the regular file as CM only recoginizes plain numbers. Now as for how to set up the batch files, that's pretty easy as well. Also each mod that comes with batch files also contain icons for the shortcuts that you will create. Now, to set up the batch files, you do the following: Copy all batch files into the root directory of CMBO. Also copy the icons there too just for convenience sake. Now, create shortcuts to each batchfile. (ie. Right-click on the batch file, select "Create Shortcut"). Then to replace the generic MS-DOS icon, right-click on the shortcut and select "Properties" Select the "Program" tab. Click the "Change Icon" button. Browse to the CMBO folder and select the appropriate icon and then select "OK" a few times to close-out the Properties window. Your shortcut should now change to the newly selected icon. Now drag the shortcut to your desktop. I have a Desktop Folder set up called Combat Mission. In it I have a shortcut to the CMBO.exe and to all of the mod batch files that I have as follows:
  16. I'm looking to go that route also. I've been doing some research on motherboards lately. If possible get a motherboard that supports DDR memory. It is twice as fast as PC100/133 stuff as it writes on both the up and down cycles of the MHz clock. In fact, 1+ GHz systems are bottlenecked if they don't have DDR memory. Check out the Gigabyte GA-7DXC Socket A motherboards here.

  18. Just one suggestion though when posting screenshot from PhotoPoint. That service tends to darken the image quite a bit, so before you submit an image to it, you might want to increase the image's brightness or gamma or both. Look at your bottom pic, especially, to see what I mean. ------------------ For your dream car click here. For a Close Encounter click here. Hey look! I can see my house! 19. Well I just did a test on the matter. I placed 2 Lynx's on an island surrounded by 10 .50 teams. In a matter of about 45 seconds or so, both Lynx's Abandoned. I don't know if this had to do with just a morale problem with the TCs not being able to escape the area or what. But they did take a large pounding of .50 cal fire for about 40 seconds though. So take it for what it's worth. ------------------ For your dream car click here. For a Close Encounter click here. Hey look! I can see my house!
