Yep. That did it. I'd tried "fastest performance"..but that didnt work. I then, after your advice, tried "single chip" but accidentally changed it only under Open GL and not DirectX. I was bummed when the problem was still there..until I realized and went back to change. Phew! Thats a relief. Now I can get back to playing...after re-adding all of my mods. Thanks mark

I've had this problem before. I just reloaded the game after a few months and forgot how to remedy it. I run a Voodoo5500agp in Win98SE. I am unable to read the text in battles because its white on white..or yellow on white. There was a quick and easy fix that someone provided last time. Can someone help again? thanks mark

Can someone suggest what would be considered the most preferred modifications to the game. I see TONS of options out there...but would like to first install the more critical ones. Also..do these mods apply for scenarios and campaigns? If I install a snow mod, for instance, will it just be loaded when I get to a snow battle? Thanks mark

Thanks for the assistance. I sort of figured that the artillery spotters worked that way, but wanted to be certain. I was pretty much clueless about the mortar guys however. Imagined them jogging to a hilltop and pointing the tube like a bazooka.<<grin>> This game appears to be amazing and incredibly well supported...and now I find that the forums are thriving, friendly, and very helpful. Am just getting into demo and have ordered game. I noticed that many platoons have a 60mm mortar..but he never seems able to get an LOS on anyone. Should he be able to lob shells over hills? Second, I've also noticed spotters for mortars and artillery. How do you go about getting fire support from these dudes? Lastly...how much better is the total game than the demo? Because the demo is damned good..I can only imagine the full game. Thanks for any advice

Can anyone point me where to find additional scenarios? I just downloaded the CD demo and am very impressed. My version has two scenarios called: "Chance Encounter" and "Valley of Trouble". I recall reading on a site that there a couple more scenarios downloadable for the demo. Any help would be appreciated.
