1. I'm from one of them states. How about the rest of you? ------------------ "While stands the Collosseum, Rome shall stand. When falls the Collosseum, Rome shall fall. And when Rome falls -- the World." **Byron** [This message has been edited by Maximus (edited 05-30-2000).]
 2. Well considering that each subsequent version will take an additional year or more to complete, I wouldn't worry about that too much. ------------------ "While stands the Collosseum, Rome shall stand. When falls the Collosseum, Rome shall fall. And when Rome falls -- the World." **Byron**
 3. Echo, are you gonna simulate the little song on the record player before the Germans show up? (j/k!) ------------------ "While stands the Collosseum, Rome shall stand. When falls the Collosseum, Rome shall fall. And when Rome falls -- the World." **Byron**
 4. I don't know, but just guessing......Tanks?? ------------------ "Today I saw a slave become more powerful than the Emperor of Rome."
 5. Some hints I could provide would be:

When advancing, use artillery to create a smoke screen when possible.
Use HE artillery against soft targets when possible
When confronted with Slot A, insert Tab...err..umm...nevermind. I can't think of anymore right now, but I'll probably post again here. ------------------ "Today I saw a slave become more powerful than the Emperor of Rome."
 6. nevermind [This message has been edited by Maximus (edited 05-29-2000).]
 7. Would you perhaps be referring to "Meeting Engagements"? Of which Chance Encounter in the Demo is one. ------------------ "Today I saw a slave become more powerful than the Emperor of Rome."
 8.
quote:
Originally posted by Owen: That sounds like a f**king execelent idea, it has to be made. I recon the taking of the town would be a good idea although it would be hard to move the Americns into such good positions without being spotted so you might have to give them a few extra men to compensate for this.

Yes, the taking of the town is actually what I had in mind. Also the Sherman attack on that "mine" looking facility. Although I don't know how we would simulate the loud music they played. The road ambush as just as they crossed the minefiled would be cool too. I don't know, even though they wouldn't make very balanced scenarios they would be fun to play out. Make them only say 5 turn limits. [This message has been edited by Maximus (edited 05-29-2000).]
 9. Anybody planning on doing any Kelly's Hereos-based scenarios. This film is being played on TNT today, Memorial Day, and actually, it ain't that bad of a film. All you'd have to do is to just up-scale the OOB from individual men to squads.
 10. Your English is just fine. Yes, the Remagen Bridge would make a great scenario. IIRC, the Germans had several 88 FLaK guns up on one ridge. Actually, the scenario could be made into an Operation. One skirmish could be around the bridge itself, another around the house-to-house fighting in town itself. Seems like I had a book somewhere that showed a pretty good layout of the land around that area.
 11. I just played a PBEM game of CE with my buddy and Panzerfausts took out three of my Shermans, so definately they have got that Panzerfaust thing fixed.
 12. Well, maybe it is that barbed wire is considered a unit and not a terrain feature since they are placeable. Granted that they aren't hindering movement like they are supposed to. 'Cause when you select a pillbox, doesn't it say located in "woods" or whatever? Same goes for minefields. Does the game say that a unit is located in a minefield?
 13. Murgen, BTS, plans to fully cover the European Theater of Operations (ETO)
CM1: Beyond Overlord (Western Europe)
CM2: Barbarossa and Beyond* (Eastern Front)
CM3: ** (Mediterranean Theater-North Africa, Italy, Balkans)
CM4: Blitzkrieg* (Early War-Poland, France, etc) * Working title. ** No comprehensive title thought of yet. (Working titles come from previous discussions on this BBS) Each title is to follow approximately a year after the previous one. And each previous one is expected to be updated to keep up with the newer versions, so that CM1 won't look outdated by the time CM4 comes around.
