Someone has committed large amounts of resources to pull this off. That means, most likely, a nation state has sponsored it. Oh dear lord. I just heard that the second tower has collapsed. Someone will pay dearly for this. If a nation state, they have committed a clear act of war. If a terrorist group, any nation that harbors them might well find themselves at war with us. God help us all.

We don't need a missile defense system, we need an anti-airline defense system, eh, MrSpkr? Looks like what we were talking about earlier just came true huh? Luckily no nukes were involved, but nothing a good 747 can't do, eh?
 2. OK! What have I been trying to tell all you Bush supporter jokers??? The international community doesn't like us!
 3. Eye witness said he saw the tail of a large airplane crash into the Pentagon. Oh now I just hear that the White house was threatened by a terrorist attack.
 4. Well according to Chamberlain and Ellis, the US 76mm gun had a lower muzzle velocity than the British 17 lbr. It also said that the gun was developed in 1942 when the US realized that the short 75 was not very effective in North Africa. However the 76 wasn't deployed until 1944 due to, I guess, the balancing issue.
 5. I don't know, I use a penetration sound that gives a initial boom and then a sound that sounds like the AP shell ricocheting around inside a bit. Maybe that's the sound you're talking about. Seems like that one came from Ncrawler's sound mod.

 7. Extend the screensize by using the controls on your monitor.
 8. Sounds like CM is having a problem detecting your video card. That happens from time to time. Or, try deleting the Prefs file in the Cmbo folder and restart the game. Then select the first option you see. Hopefully it will be 1024x768. Either that or Schrullenhaft will be along soon to spew his great technical knowledge.
 9.
quote:
Originally posted by Fuerte: Exactly. Loading and exiting a PBEM turn would be about 5 seconds faster, maybe even more. No need to load the main menu at all, just the game engine.

True, true, but I could get ya a new microwave oven that could nuke your cup of coffee 5 seconds faster for the low low price of $399.
 10.
quote:
Originally posted by Mace: ...the ability of MGers to run with their...

...tripods, which explains why MG crews can't run. However, it doesn't explain why Flamethrower crews....
 11. Huh? You know you didn't have to hit the "Add New Topic" button don't you? [ 09-09-2001: Message edited by: Maximus ]
 12. Shatter, I'd suggest you come join the 1980s. If your cable box is that old, time for a new one anyway don't ya think?
 13. As per your Thread title...Really? Get over to the General Forum and check out the threads there. [ 09-09-2001: Message edited by: Maximus ]
 14. Actually Gordon was wanting Fernando to do a Hi-Res KT so that he could reapply the green and black stripes camo.
 15.
quote:
Originally posted by Fuerte: And will the Windows version have a command line option to load a PBEM game directly with a password? And it should also exit to desktop after doing the turn.

What? The already simple interface isn't simple enough for ya? Hitting "Esc" is a bitch sometimes, isn't it?
 16. Because they already have a set agenda. If you are not aware CM2/CMBB(Barbarossa to Berlin) will cover the "Ost Front" 1941-1945 CM3:Mediterranean Theater (North Africa, Sicily/Italy, Greece/Crete) CM4:Early War (Poland, France, Norway possibly) Your inquiry about the Napoleonic era...been discussed several times before and with the current engine, it would not be possible. Only until now that computer hardware was capable of handling a full 3D battlefield as it does in CM. Most people over-estimate the power of today's computers. To do a Civil War or Napoleonic era game, many things would have to be refined. Like number of men per unit and so forth.
 17.
quote:
Originally posted by lcm1947: Now it's looking good. Really like all the extra's. It really just makes the mod. yeah, I for one would like to use them and if Maximus comes out with the rule set it'll be just great to be able to change between uniforms.

Yeah that's no problem. I wrote up a new one for one of Scipio's new uniforms last night in a matter of minutes.
 18. For those that do come from afar, can we stop by Dubya's house and give him a "what for"?
 19.
quote:
Originally posted by Scipio: No, but if you want to publish them somewhere, please let me know where, and please make a big link to WarfareHQ. BTW, this CMMOS makes only an error message here, it ask for something in my C:\windows folder - and I don't have c:\windows folder.

Are you on a Mac? If so then that's why. CMMOS doesn't work with Macs. When does it ask for something in the Windows folder?
 20. Scipio, Do you mind if I do a cut and paste of the web gear that you had on your previous Splinter and Tanwater uniforms?
 21.
quote:
Originally posted by Scipio: Ehm, no I haven't seen this new tool already, and I don't know about your rules.

You haven't seen all these Threads with CMMOS in them? Go to Manx's site. It's there with several new CMMOS compatible mods. Basically its a new program to replace all those old batch files.
