Also remember due to the fact that the big Russian tanks carried so few AT rounds, they were discouraged from engaging in long range shooting matches. Whereas that was what the Germans perferred and thus would be better at.

There is a very good documentary movie I thinks its called "Eager Beavers" I would recommend to any one interested in the role they played in the war.

Just was doing a 1.05 QB against AI and here comes the dreaded 2" AT mortar. 2 shots to hit marder(top hit no damage) but did not kill till forth shot. Then it turns it attention to 20mm HT. Three shots later boom. Even after the HT started moving away after 1st shot to avoid fire. (which is good but the marder took no evasive action-bad).

Yea my vet tigers would often take two shots to hit and the GREEN british tankers were hitting with the first shot. I even got hit by the 95mm churchill from his first shot after I missed. I feel your pain. [This message has been edited by Dittohead (edited 08-30-2000).]
