1. Ehm .... lord madness how is the new banner coming ? Ok, i know you have not been twiddling your thumbs much lately but i'm curious. Wouldn't it be nice if all us CM-websites could put up a spanking new 'WOW' oozing banner to draw fresh victims into the ambush zone ... i mean to attract new potential CM-buyers ? 2. OK, you convinced me. I have resurrected my site and posted a 'basic' article about what the hell 'hull-down' means for the un-educated sychophants like me. Go check it out ! 3. The worst you can get at > +50% is that your troops run out of ammo. You better hope that the AI gets more stuggs than just zillions of infantry. You could easily get overrun on the long term. But allas, positioning is the name of the game in CE. After the first 15 rounds you begin to feel like an sea cliff ..... just breaking the waves ....... Grtz S Bakker.
 4. Hear, hear, i suggest they produce that add-on CD around christmas. And whouldn't it be nice if besides funky new hardware there would be other stuff on it like the best home made scenario's/operations and the best looking texture packages ? That would make christmas ! Grtz S Bakker. PS; Geez, already thinking about 'the next thing'. poor steve and charles ...
 5. Duh ! Why should we even discuss this ? Grtz S Bakker [This message has been edited by Bakker@home (edited 06-12-2000).]
 6. Does the above list mean that we can still complain about the germans stealing our bikes ? Oh, btw, i'm dutch to you know. Hey, maybe we can pool forces (and data) on some interesting battles on dutch soil ? Just a thought. Grtz S Bakker PS: or how the about the 'Prinses Irene' brigade ? 18. The russian 14.5 mm anti-tank rifle could penetrate 30mm of armour at 500m which was the armor thickness of the front of the turret, turret sides and hull sides of the pzkw III in 1941. But remember it was only a bullet so don't expect immidiate brew-ups unless you're lucky and hit ammo or a fuel tank. Grtz S Bakker. ------------------ Visit my CM site! 22. 7.5 cm kwk42 L/70 Weight of shell: 6.80 kg Muzzle velocity: 925 m/s 8.8 cm kwk36 L/56 Wieght of shell: 10.2 kg Muzzle velocity: 773 m/s The kwk42 put more velocity into the round aka more kinetic power. 23. From New Vanguard 25; sdkfz 251:
quote:
Though a fully-tracked design had been rejected because of excessive cost and complexity, the long ground run of the tracks required the use of a tank-type steering final drive unit. During slight turns, the steering wheel turned only the (unpowered red.) front wheels. Past 15 degr, the clutch and brake steering mechanism in the fineal drive system operated to slow the track on the inside of the turn and apply full power to the outside track. Though this was a complexity avoided in the US White m2/m3 halftracks with their short track ground runs and ordinary truck-type differential drive axles, the cross-country performance of the German armoured troop carrier was excellent, and usually superior to the simpler US types.

Any help ? damn typos.
