  1. Hi guys, how the hell did you guys have time to post on the same day you get CMBB? Anyhow been playing since last night, got punched in the face by yhe AI at jeagermeister .... guess I need to relearn some things in CMBB. Bottom line; CMBB hits holland. Jippy ! PS: alleen die mooie handleiding al is het waard de originele US versie te bestellen niet waar ?
  2. Stumbles in, slaps Stoffel on the back. "Yep, this guy and one unnamed american samitarian snatched all 9 of us out of a terrible tight spot. If it wasn't for them we would be playing ..... the CDV version !" [crowd gasps, moans] PS: just my way of saying; Thanx Stoffel. Thanx mystery guy. 5. Why the rush ? Give them time. It's quality not speed what is important. Ect. Ect. Oh, and I haven't recieved the game yet so I'm in no hurry
  6. Nope. Because how would you back this up? It isn't very measurable ......... No national differences in psychology or troop behaviour in CMBO / CMBB.
  7. Meisser, check the data of the anti-tank guns and of your targets (select units and hit enter). You will notice that the PzkwIII's and IV's frontal armour can resist the 45mm shots pretty well. This is an important fact. As with any anti-tank guns your primary tactics should be; -Creating opportunities for flank and rear shots (see above -Buttoning the enemy tanks (reduces spotting and buys time before effective return fire) -Maximizing fire power (both in numerical advantage and optimal ranges for your AT-guns). So, for example you could take Chad's advice and position all your AT-guns in the woods. Wait for the germans to close in and unhide all of them (maximizing firepower). And as the panzers rotate their fronts to the threat of the AT-guns let the KV's creep up behind them (for rear shots). But there are more roads that lead to Rome. Experiment a bit, it's a good lesson how to beat armor. And consequently teaches you how you should handle armor to minimize the effectiveness fo these tactics (moving by bounds, overwactch ect.). The AT-rfiles are pretty useless in destroying the german tanks. But they are great for making them button up. For example unhide them (together with the mg's)the round before you open up with your AT-guns to button them up (you might want to assign them targets yourself though). This (the buttoning up) lenghtens the time they require to spot your AT-guns so that the AT-guns can fire more shots before the germans can surpress them with effective return fire. Hope this helps.
  8. Bump Still no CMBB reviews? Would be nice if CMBB got a little media coverage .......
  9. Harv, Madmatt, you can kick 'The Bunker' out if you like. I haven't updated it since 18-7-2000 and quite frankly forgot the FTP password. And besides it's bloody awfull since it is/was my first attempt at HTML and webpages. And my english ain't that great either Grtz (edietd bceaues fo tyops [ October 19, 2002, 03:54 AM: Message edited by: Bakker@home ]
  10. Sigh, I took a week off from 7-11 oct. Fully expecting to be able to play CMBB that week. It now seems that the european (non-german) release dat shifts to 10-18 october. Sigh. If I had known that I had asked some of our kind USA brothers if they could order and forward an US copy for me. I wonder if there are still US guys who are willing to do that? Now? For me? I got a Credicard but no experience with money transfers to the US. If there are still some nice US brothers out there whoe aren't tired of playing for post office please mail me. Would be much appreciated. EDIT: already got a response from a fellow country man on a similar quest. Thanx Stoffel [ September 28, 2002, 08:16 AM: Message edited by: Bakker@home ]
  11. I would if I knew how. No resellers i know sell CM:BB, so there's no easy way to order an US copy from Europe. Until I find a way I let my UK order stand. Still hope I can 'patch' the CDV version with the US exec. And then probably donate $10 to BTS for the complete manual. I would prefer paying CDV $10 to be allowed to order the US version and have it done with. Oh well. But I'll live. Even the wait until 7-11 Oct. won't spoil my anticipation for CM:BB. Heck I survived the pre-demo days of CMBO didn't I ? PS: Yech ! Look you guys made me type a Whine post I hate myself now ! 'Pom, pom, pom' (twiddles thumbs and eyes calendar nervously )
  12. Hmmmm .... yes i think they are partisans. Seems to be a whole lot of them, no support weapons ....
  13. I just wanted to say ' thumbs up' to BTS for exceeding my expectations with this wonderfull demo. Thanx ! First imperssions; 1. great graphics and sounds improvement ! Sweet. 2. Extreme FOW ... scary stuff Love it 3. More russians, even more russians, still more russians .. And now I'll have to leave the smilies alone and play the demo some more ...
