  1. seems to me he is looking for the ideal wife
  2. sounds odd, have you tried using the ctrl and shift buttons with that letter combination this can be a problem with your keyboard,I would go over to the technical forum anyway if I was you. Henk
  3. Hi John, You should try August bank holiday for CMBO. And a big scenario is available for CMBB,thought it was Clash of the Titans Henk
  4. If BFC said that than I hope they will keep that promise. If not than the whole Dutch community can report to me again for a copy straight from BFC
  5. Lol I am a leo too,24th july Yes,most people play CMBB only these days. But every now and than one of the newbies posts a review. I have my day of the wasp scenario dl-ed 600+ times with only 1 review You should really try may 1940 and Bourqebus ridge battles. Henk
  6. Simovitch, check the depot. Maybe you have a review,I fired up CMBO again forit. It was long ago since I played CMBO
  7. Hi Simovitch, If you like such scenarios than you should check out the ones made by McAuliffe. Very accurate reproduction of maps in Belgium and in most cases also very accurate OOB of the battles fought in the Ardennes campaign.
  8. my day of the wasps scenario is on a big map,its historical too. I had to skip some guns from the German OOB though otherwise the Canucks did not have a chance(as they did in the real battle)
  9. Jim, I can only say again, review a scenario if you played it. Every critic good or negative(as long as they are constructive)can only add to a scenario. Too many people forget to review scenarios after playing, without feedback you cant make good ones
  10. Hey Jim, Good to know you are talking about CMBO,I thought at first you meant CMBB. I played CMBO from the early beginning,i.e. from the days of the beta demo since 1998,jeez where does time go..... My first scenario for CMBO evolved from a test scenario to see effects of shells on bridges. With some modifications it entered the depot and it received a negative review. But very well written review with suggestions too which were helpfull to change the battle. The scenarios after that were much better, once I found out about the mechanics and how the AI plays. Testing yourself against the AI with FOW on to see how it moves and after that sending my scenario to veteran players. Specially in the early period I have spend many hours testing in PBEM or TCP mode, with some very good opponents giving many helpfull ideas. My may 1940 scenario is a good example receiving 5 very good critics. I am very proud of the Canadian scenario which saw a lot of research and which have a historical very accurate map and OOB. Very helpfull was the coordination with an other player who made a operation of that same historical battle.
  11. Hi toad, Can you remember which one of my CMBO scenarios you reviewed? It was may 1940,I would do that one if I was you. That is if you mean CMBO If its for CMBB than I have a great map for you to create a custom scenario yourself. Let me know if you want the map. Henk
  12. ah great! a new enthousiastic reviewer, please dl my scenarios from the depot and review them. I want critics whit which I can do something creative, negative or positive it doesnt matter 3 As long as you dont forget to add constructive thought s on how to improve the negative parts:) Waiting for your review(which will help a designer make better scenarios)
  13. Steiner, If you are afraid of losing the overview, than you should make a screenshot of the map and the positions of your units from the setup and print it. Than mark their path or their new position on that map after each turn. That way you can also mark enemy positions, somehow like we use to do in the early days of Tacops exercises.
  14. yeah,I like to do some recon first btw my wife complained about me doing orders for hours in order to get your file send off..... now she saw you do something with wine, and she would like to be compensated for all those hours without me. She likes a dry white wine This looks like a very selfish and ignorant question.......and so it should be seen
  15. Do yourself a pleasure and set up a scenario with muddy conditions. Create two opposite systems of trenches with mg strongpoints and some artillery spotters in the rear. Than try to assault the other trench, chances are 10 to 1 that you quit very soon as the attacker WW1 had not much really interesting battles other than simple slaughter events. Henk
  16. Gonzo is right. the most easiest way to let the player have a force at the map is by allowing some units to stay on it. Dont forget to tell a player in the briefing. In the editor its possible to do that. Its the eligible and not eligible to exit button.
  17. so far it plays well. not that I worried about that with a 2,8 processor,512 mb memory and a Geforce 5600 card
  18. If you send me a good bottle of white wine(to keep my wife satisfied in all those hours without me)than I will have a look at it Henk
  19. if you cant find opponents than you should look in the depot for battles check out the ones with lot of reviews, several battles are well playable against AI you can try my May1940 battle, playable from both sides or the Bourquebus ridge one, best played from the british side, and off course the day of the wasp battle Henk
  20. I have to say sorry:) cause it was my observers eye which spotted the airattack on the bridge............. But overall great job Matt.
  21. also helpfull is another command in the SOP menu: Retreat when enemy spotted.(not with smoke!) In a game a few months back ,I managed to drive our friend Trooper totally crazy with this command. It was during one of the majors testsessions He lost a lot of his M1s to my BMP's when my units drove forward ,engaged his troops and retreated right away Very usefull command.
  22. well,I designed it more towards tcp play. but I have tried both sides myself for 30 turns. It should not matter which side you try.
  23. the ammo indeed is all t rounds and the unit window says 20 mm I also checked for the support weapons and the 28mm gun also has 20 mm in its unit window with the same armor penetrationchart looks like BFC used two standards which fooled me
  24. Andreas: the game has a 250/11 but with a 20mm gun! while most of the resources I have speak about a PzB41 28 mm gun which is something very different Henk
